I built an AI that reads your handwriting, so you never have to retype notes again

 The problem

Handwritten notes are great to write and terrible to use. You can't search them, copy from them, or back them up. If you want them digital, you're retyping.

Existing OCR tools are everywhere, but most are tuned for printed documents. Give them cursive or quick scrawl and the output is alphabet soup.

 What I built

Handwriting To Text is a free web tool focused only on handwriting. Upload a photo or PDF of handwritten pages and you get clean, editable text back in seconds.

Cursive and print - it handles connected cursive, block print, and the mix of both that real notes contain

120+ languages - not just Latin scripts

No install - runs in the browser, works from your phone camera roll

PDFs and photos - multi-page PDFs work, so a whole notebook can go in at once

 What it's good for

Students digitizing lecture notes so they can search them before exams

Researchers transcribing handwritten archives and letters

Anyone who journals on paper but wants a digital backup

Try it and tell me where it breaks

It's free to use at handwritingtotext.online. The thing I most want from this community is adversarial testing: upload your absolute worst handwriting and tell me where it falls over. Accuracy feedback is what guides improvements.

What would make this more useful for you - export to specific formats, an API, integrations with note apps? Genuinely asking.
