Hostinger prices exclude VAT. Hostinger's sale runs October 19 to December 14, 2026; RackNerd's specials are its standing lineup, and its Black Friday 2026 deals were not live as of November 4.

Which is cheaper: Hostinger or RackNerd?

Over a year, RackNerd is cheaper. Its 2 GB plan costs $35.99 for twelve months, while Hostinger's KVM 1 works out to about $78 a year at the sale rate ($155.76 for two years). But Hostinger gives more RAM per plan (4 GB on its entry tier vs 2 GB) and NVMe storage, so the gap per gigabyte of RAM is much smaller.

Renewal prices: the part most Black Friday posts skip

Hostinger's Black Friday rate covers your first term only: KVM 1 renews at $11.99/mo and KVM 2 at $14.99/mo. RackNerd's specials are "lifetime recurring," so $35.99/yr stays $35.99/yr. If you plan to keep a server for years, that matters more than the headline discount.

Best cheap VPS for n8n, AI agents and self-hosting

Hostinger for n8n and AI apps

Hostinger's own page names KVM 2 (2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe) as enough for medium-scale apps like n8n. You get a one-click n8n template, Docker manager, free weekly backups and an AI web terminal that takes plain-language commands, which lowers the learning curve if this is your first VPS.

RackNerd for budget self-hosting

RackNerd's ctrl panel installs n8n, Coolify, Portainer, Ollama, AnythingLLM and more in one click. RackNerd says n8n and Coolify are comfortable from 2 GB, while Ollama, AnythingLLM and Hermes Agent want 4 GB, and OpenClaw wants 8 GB. For a small n8n or WireGuard box, the 2 GB plan is hard to beat on price.

Pros and cons

Hostinger — Pros: more RAM per dollar on upper tiers, NVMe, weekly backups, AI assistant, 30-day money-back guarantee. Cons: 24 months paid upfront for the best rate; renewals are higher.

RackNerd — Pros: very low yearly price, same price on renewal, generous bandwidth, instant setup, many US datacenters. Cons: less RAM per plan at the low end, SSD rather than NVMe, unmanaged.

Who should NOT buy either

If you have never used SSH and don't want to learn, a managed host or a one-click app platform is a better fit than any unmanaged VPS.

Should you wait for RackNerd's Black Friday deals?

RackNerd usually publishes Black Friday specials around late November, but nothing for 2026 was live on November 4. If you need a server now, the standing specials already renew at the same price; if you can wait, check back after Black Friday (November 27).
