Hello, after 6 weeks of Bootcamp, we have already graduated.
@AwesomityLab and @CodeofAfrica, you are the reason I am pursuing my ambition; the time we spent together will always be remembered and valued.

The Taskforce's entire concept is that it elevates you from one level to another in terms of soft and technical skills; personally, I am much better than I was six weeks ago.

I'd want to express my gratitude to all of our facilitators; I've gained so much valuable knowledge from you, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you over the past six weeks.

People working together in a strong community with a shared goal and a common purpose can make the impossible possible.
Tom Vilsack

We were given the task of completing the entire project in four days; thanks to my teammates, we were able to manage the time we had and produce a working mobile application in that short time, which was well received by the audience.
It wasn't easy for us, but as a team, we kept working together, being creative and smart until we finished our final project. Congratulations and happy graduation, guys!

We have reached the end of our studies after 6 weeks in taskforce, and it is time for us to part ways, my teammate. You have been an amazing team from the beginning. I'll miss the best times we had together, the stories we told, and the laughs we shared, and I hope our relationship will continue beyond this point; I'll keep in touch.

Thank you, God bless you, and I wish you all the best in your new life!

Great things happen to those who don’t stop believing, trying, learning, and being grateful.
Roy Bennett

This week was fantastic and enjoyable. In particular, for technical skills where we go deeper into react native, it was taught for me in the previous days because we began to use a programming language I had never used before and at times I felt like giving up, but because of the communication and team spirit session we had, I realized that giving up was not an option, so I sought assistance from my teammates, who assisted me in overcoming the situation. Now, I thank God that I am at a good level and can complete the task in the same manner as others, and I appreciate all of my teammates' encouragement, especially @elvis, who took the time to assist me.
Again, I'd like to thank #CoA and #Awesomity for the courses they provide that have taught me to never give up and how to manage myself, such as the communication lesson, which has taught me how to communicate and collaborate with others, time management, which has taught me how to manage time so that I can use extra time without negative consequences, and self-organization, which has taught me how to overcome my challenges.

To summarize, we only have one week left to finish our Bootcamp. Over the last five weeks, we've learned a lot of interesting things, and I'm excited to put what I've learned in the Bootcamp to good use by solving societal problems.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post; I'll see you again next week to give you an update on my final week of Bootcamp.

Greetings,
It's been a month since I've been at Taskforce, and this week was just as interesting as the others.

Once you're learning, you'll face a lot of challenges, but the real challenge is figuring out how to grow and learn from them.
I've been looking for a challenging environment to help me advance my career, I've finally found it in Code of Africa and Awesomity Lab. I really like their program and can't thank them enough for everything they've done to help me.

A man who dares to waste one hour of life has not discovered the value of life
Charles Darwin

We had a session with @Blaise about time management, in which we learned why we need time management, how to use time effectively, goal setting, planning, and prioritizing. Finally, we had a fun exercise in which we were given $86, 400 and asked to choose how we could spend the money in 24 hours. The exercise was very fun, but we all shared what we could do with the money, but no one set the amount of relaxing time, He explained why relaxing is so important: it gives us more energy, allowing us to be more productive and happier, so it's something we should plan for.

We also studied how to make a good presentation with @silke, and we ended the session with the teamwork of presenting the topic she gave us. My teammate and I presented on the topic "black lives matter", which was difficult because we didn't know much about it before, but we tried to do research and ended up learning more about it and the presentation went well.

With @olaf we learned critical thinking skills: how to apply them in the workplace and everyday life, how to improve them easily, how to show them off during your job search, and why critical thinking skills are important. after the lesson, I see it as an important thing every employee needs to have because it is a thing every employer seeks.

This week was interesting in general. I'll keep you updated on my Taskforce's progress, and I hope to see you again soon.

Thank you!

My Third week in Taskforce 5.0 at Awesomity Lab and Code of Africa.

This is my third week in Taskforce 5.0, this week was super and cool. Although there were a lot of challenges, the week was interesting.

On soft skills, we begin with value, learning what it is and why it is so important. Next, we do an exercise in defining our values, which we compare to the core values of the Code of Africa. Finally, we see how value can play a significant role in the growth of people working together. This taught me the importance of being cautious when selecting people to work with. Knowing and understanding people's values will improve work habits.

Your core values are your deciding factors for success.”
Tobi Delly

We also learned about intercultural communication, which is the concept of knowing how to communicate with people from all over the world.
We discussed what team culture is and why having a shared culture as a team is important, as well as how to build a strong team culture.
We concluded the session with an interesting exercise in which we were asked to identify the team culture of CoA.
This taught me to stop making judgments on other people's behavior because different body language should have different meanings depending on the country's culture, and it also taught me to respect other people's cultures as well as our own.

We also started technical skills, which were about component design and project file structure for mobile apps using react native, which was a challenge for me as a Flutter developer because it was my first time developing a mobile app for react native, but I am learning and hope to be familiar with it soon.

Finally, I had an amazing presentation with my colleagues, where we were to put together a small presentation in groups and discuss intercultural communication.

In a conclusion, I can say that I have learned a lot this week, and I am very excited to see what the coming weeks will bring.

Hello, everybody? I'm going to tell you about my second week in taskforce. This week was too long because we faced more challenges, but it ended with a smile on our faces because of the important lessons we learned.

We learned the best practices for using Git. Before this lesson, I thought I knew it because I had used it for several days, but after digging deeper, I realized that my experience was only 40%.

We also learned how to collaborate on projects using devOps tools, where the developer team and the operations team working together to implement a faster and easier way to build, test, and deploy software.

We had a presentation on Friday afternoon where we were supposed to use less than 5 minutes; this seemed impossible because we were a team of three members and we had to cover the lessons we learned throughout the week; the condition was to make it easily understandable because some of our audience were unfamiliar with the topic, so as a team we shared the idea of how the presentation would be made then we came up with a solution, this taught me to use a short time but deliver results.

During my two weeks on taskforce, I discovered that meeting with people who have experience in your field not only teaches you a new thing, but also teaches you the best way to apply what you know.

My First week in Taskforce 5.0 at Awesomity Lab and Code of Africa.

A week spent at Awesomity Lab and Code of Africa is unlike any other week. It's much more fantastic when you're exposed to a positive working atmosphere. In my first week, I learned a lot about collaboration, soft skills, and communication skills, among other things.

We began with a fun game in which we had to move an egg with a ring attached to the threads and position it on top of an open bottle; the first time we failed because everyone did their own thing, but the second time we succeeded because we worked together. As I discovered in this game, working together is helpful because it brings together strength and ideas.

We worked on the 16 personalities, using psychologist-defined questions to identify our personalities and roles.
We later partnered up since we had similar roles and wanted to focus on public speaking and share what we had in common as a pair.
Miro, a tool I had never heard of before, impressed me with how well it facilitates teamwork in design and strategic planning.

Many firms are adopting the Agile process because it makes it simple to gain a thorough grasp of a project and give small tasks to team members to work on. We observed that learning a new technology is easier, and that developers work directly with clients to keep them informed of progress.

At the end of the week, we were to put together a little presentation in groups and apply what we had learned to a project of our choosing.

To recap, I had a great week; I planned to acquire coding skills, but I discovered that a developer requires not only coding abilities, but also other soft skills such as communication and presentation, to mention a few.
