It’s been a real product development journey here at HAY, but we're very excited to announce that we’ll be launching HAY’s DX Platform on Product Hunt tomorrow, April 23rd!

This is a big deal for us because it comes after lengthy market research, meetings, global Zoom calls with insightful engineering managers, and the development of our innovative Slack add-on. So, lots of blood, sweat, tears—and brainstorming sessions! 💪🧠

We can’t even begin to describe how an idea about improving dev happiness and productivity turned into a great product that many engineering managers could now use to nurture and develop their dev teams. Here’s what you can expect from HAY’s DX Platform:

➡️ Optimize Work Output: Analyze your dev team's coding habits, uncovering trends and insights to boost productivity. 📈

➡️ Enhance Wellbeing: Gauge team mood with Slack surveys, gather feedback, and monitor happiness and satisfaction. ❤️

➡️ Foster Teamwork: Collect feedback directly within Slack to enhance team collaboration. Prepare for impactful one-on-ones with our note-taking feature. Ensure more focused and productive meetings by tracking discussions and actions. 👥

Stay tuned, and thank you for your support! 🙏 Explore HAY’s DX Platform now: https://howareyou.work

How do you deal with 💩 clients in software development?

It’s like a never-ending game of Whack-a-Mole 🔨 🦔. They pop up with a "minor issue" to discuss (even though you just had a meeting with them) or decide that after-hours is the perfect moment to talk about a triviality, which is often something that could wait until morning.

https://blog.howareyou.work/handling-difficult-clients-in-software-development/

Good coding habits 🕊️ and the not-so-good ones 💩

Our talented developers and engineering managers created a FREE guide that explores promoting good habits in software development (and eliminating bad ones 💩). It’s called:

“The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Exploring 26 Behavioral Practices in Software Development.”

Here’s a sample of a few topics we covered:

Learning to Say ‘No!’

Onboarding Too Much and Too Fast

Mentorship

Reckless Deployment

Rubber Stamping PRs

AND SO MUCH MORE!

Check it out and feel free to share.

https://howareyou.work/exploring-26-behavioral-practices-in-software-development/
