And luckily I got an opportunity to take an online course for junior-level programmers in South Korea, by Woowahan Delivery. Through the course, I met some nice people who were already very active in doing open-source projects. </p> <p>I started studying with them weekly and they had an opensource project for summarizing computer science knowledge. I thought 'maybe, I can contribute to this project?"</p> <p>Yes, I was really able to. I summarized several chapters of a database book that I used in my class back in college. I assumed it would be easy but it wasn't. I guess I was smarter back in school!!</p> <p>Anyway, I successfully made several pull requests. It is really exciting that I accomplished this Hactoberfest! Hopefully next year, I make better PR. </p> hacktoberfest
