How I Built an All-in-One Entertainment Catalog with Next.js 15, Dark Glassmorphism, and TMDB Sync

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm excited to share a side project I've been working on: HDMoviesShow — an all-in-one entertainment catalog and media hub designed to cut through streaming fragmentation.

 💡 The Problem

Between Netflix, Max, Disney+, anime platforms, and manga sites, keeping track of what to watch has become a headache. Most directory sites are cluttered with slow layouts, intrusive redirect popups, or broken links.

I wanted to see if I could build a lightning-fast, modern alternative with zero clutter.

 🛠 Tech Stack & Architecture

Framework: Next.js 15 (App Router & Server Components)

Styling: Tailwind CSS with a dark glassmorphic UI system

Data Synchronization: TMDB API with ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) for high cache-hit ratios

Resilience: Multi-server fallback logic so embedded media players don't stay dead if a host goes down

SEO & Performance: Full JSON-LD structured data (Movie, TVSeries, Speakable schemas) and optimized Core Web Vitals

 🚀 Live Demo

You can explore the live project here:

 💬 Looking for Community Feedback

I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

Performance & initial page load on mobile

Dark-mode glassmorphic aesthetics

Any UX improvements or features you'd like to see next!
