      <description>&lt;p&gt;Reported incidence and positive test results among children aged 0-10 years were consistently lower than those in older age groups. To reduce community transmission, which will support schools in operating more safely for in-person learning, communities and schools should fully implement and strictly adhere to recommended mitigation strategies, especially universal and proper masking, to reduce COVID-19 incidence.State and local school vaccination requirements serve to protect students against vaccine-preventable diseases (1). This report summarizes data collected by state and local immunization programs* on vaccination coverage among children in kindergarten (kindergartners) in 48 states, exemptions for kindergartners in 49 states, and provisional enrollment and grace period status for kindergartners in 28 states for the 2019-20 school year, which was more than halfway completed when most schools moved to virtual learning in the spring because of the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Nationally, vaccination coverage† was 94.9% for the state-required number of doses of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, and acellular pertussis vaccine (DTaP); 95.2% for 2 doses of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR); and 94.8% for the state-required number of varicella vaccine doses. Although 2.5% of kindergartners had an exemption from at least one vaccine,§ another 2.3% were not up to date for MMR and did not have a vaccine exemption. Chroman 1 Schools and immunization programs can work together to ensure that undervaccinated students are caught up on vaccinations in preparation for returning to in-person learning. This follow-up is especially important in the current school year, in which undervaccination is likely higher because of disruptions in vaccination during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic (2-4).According to the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, persons should consume fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy eating pattern to reduce their risk for diet-related chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, and obesity.* A healthy diet is important for healthy growth in adolescence, especially because adolescent health behaviors might continue into adulthood (1). The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends minimum daily intake of 1.5 cups of fruit and 2.5 cups of vegetables for females aged 14-18 years and 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables for males aged 14-18 years.† Despite the benefits of fruit and vegetable consumption, few adolescents consume these recommended amounts (2-4). In 2013, only 8.5% of high school students met the recommendation for fruit consumption, and only 2.1% met the recommendation for vegetable consumption (2). To update the 2013 data, CDC analyzed data from the 2017 national and state Youth Risk Behavior Surveys (YRBSs) to describe the percentage of students who met intake recommendations, overall and by sex, school grade, and race/ethnicity. The median frequencies of fruit and vegetable consumption nationally were 0.9 and 1.1 times per day, respectively. Nationally, 7.1% of students met USDA intake recommendations for fruits (95% confidence interval [CI] = 4.0-10.3) and 2.0% for vegetables (upper 95% confidence limit = 7.9) using previously established scoring algorithms. State-specific estimates of the percentage of students meeting fruit intake recommendations ranged from 4.0% (Connecticut) to 9.3% (Louisiana), and the percentage meeting vegetable intake recommendations ranged from 0.6% (Kansas) to 3.7% (New Mexico). Additional efforts to expand the reach of existing school and community programs or to identify new effective strategies, such as social media approaches, might help address barriers and improve adolescent fruit and vegetable consumption.BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to assess the impact of norepinephrine (NE), norepinephrine plus vasopressin (NE+VAS) and dopamine in patients with sepsis and heart failure. MATERIAL AND METHODS Data were extracted from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III database, v1.4. Adults aged &amp;gt;18 years in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) who had heart failure and took vasopressors were included. The patients were divided into 3 groups NE, NE+VAS, and dopamine. Differences in survival, treatment time, and organ function among the 3 groups were compared. Propensity score matching (PSM) was used to screen for possible prognostic differences, and regression analysis was used to further analyze and predict prognoses. RESULTS A total of 1864 patients were included. There were significant differences among the 3 groups in 7-, 28-, and 90-day mortality after PSM. The 5-year survival rates among the 3 groups also were significantly different (P less then 0.001). After Cox regression analysis, NE+VAS was an independent risk factor affecting 5-year survival (P less then 0.001). After multiple linear regression, dopamine was the factor related to ICU and hospital lengths of stay. CONCLUSIONS Compared with NE or dopamine alone, NE+VAS can reduce survival in patients with sepsis and heart failure who need vasopressors. Compared with the other 2 treatment options, dopamine can shorten ICU and hospital stays for these patients.Fabry disease is a rare, progressive, X-linked inherited storage disorder due to absent or deficient of lysosomal alfa galactosidase A activity. Deficient activity of alfa-galactosidase A results in progressive accumulation of globotriaosylceramide in a variety of tissues and organs including myocardium, kidney and nerve system. This disorder predominantly affects males; however, female heterozygotes may also be affected with a less severe clinical picture. Classic Fabry disease is usually diagnosed in early age of childhood because of multiorgan involvement whereas cardiac and renal variants of Fabry are manifested in 30-50 years of age because of late onset of clinical picture in which other organs involvement are uncommon. Although Fabry is known as a very rare disease, its prevalence is reported to be higher in patients with ventricular hypertrophy, chronic kidney disease and cryptogenic stroke. The proposed method outperforms the existing methods on real data sets as well as synthetic imbalanced data sets.This article is concerned with an issue of fixed time adaptive neural control for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems subject to hysteresis input and immeasurable states. The state observer and neural networks (NNs) are used to estimate the immeasurable states and approximate the unknown nonlinearities, respectively. On this foundation, an adaptive fixed time neural control strategy is developed. Technically, this control strategy is based on a novel fixed-time stability criterion. Different from the research on fixed-time control in the conventional literature, this article designs a new controller with two fractional exponential powers. In the light of the established stability criterion, the fixed-time stability of the systems is guaranteed under the proposed control scheme. Finally, a simulation study is carried out to test the performance of the developed control strategy.Among the various key networks in the human body, the nervous system occupies central importance. The debilitating effects of spinal cord injuries (SCI) impact a significant number of people throughout the world, and to date, there is no satisfactory method to treat them. In this paper, we review the major treatment techniques for SCI that include promising solutions based on information and communication technology (ICT) and identify the key characteristics of such systems. We then introduce two novel ICT-based treatment approaches for SCI. The first proposal is based on neural interface systems (NIS) with enhanced feedback, where the external machines are interfaced with the brain and the spinal cord such that the brain signals are directly routed to the limbs for movement. The second proposal relates to the design of self-organizing artificial neurons (ANs) that can be used to replace the injured or dead biological neurons. Apart from SCI treatment, the proposed methods may also be utilized as enabling technologies for neural interface applications by acting as bio-cyber interfaces between the nervous system and machines. Furthermore, under the framework of Internet of BioNano Things (IoBNT), experience gained from SCI treatment techniques can be transferred to nano communication research.Excessive beta band (13-30 Hz) oscillations have been observed in the basal ganglia (BG) of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Understanding the origin and transmission of beta band oscillations are important to improve treatments of PD, such as closed-loop deep brain stimulation (DBS). This paper proposed a model-based closed-loop GPi stimulation system to suppress pathological beta band oscillations of BG. The feedback nucleus was selected through the analysis of GPi oscillations variation when different synaptic currents were blocked, mainly projections from globus pallidus external (GPe), the subthalamic nucleus (STN) and striatum. Since simulation results proved the important role of synaptic current from GPe in shaping the excessive GPi beta band oscillations, the local field potential (LFP) of GPe was chosen as the feedback signal. That is to say, the feedback nucleus was selected based on the origin analysis of the pathological GPi beta band oscillation. The closed-loop algorithm was the multiplication of linear delayed feedback of the filtered GPe-LFP and modeled synaptic dynamics from GPe to GPi. Thus, the formed stimulation waveform was synaptic current like shape, which was proved to be more energy efficient than open-loop continuous DBS in suppressing GPi beta band oscillation. With the development of DBS devices, the efficiency of this closed-loop stimulation could be testified in animal model and clinical.In this paper, we consider the compressed video background subtraction problem that separates the background and foreground of a video from its compressed measurements. The background of a video usually lies in a low dimensional space and the foreground is usually sparse. More importantly, each video frame is a natural image that has textural patterns. By exploiting these properties, we develop a message passing algorithm termed offline denoising-based turbo message passing (DTMP). We show that these structural properties can be efficiently handled by the existing denoising techniques under the turbo message passing framework. We further extend the DTMP algorithm to the online scenario where the video data is collected in an online manner. The extension is based on the similarity/continuity between adjacent video frames. We adopt the optical flow method to refine the estimation of the foreground. We also adopt the sliding window based background estimation to reduce complexity. By exploiting the Gaussianity of messages, we develop the state evolution to characterize the per-iteration performance of offline and online DTMP. Comparing to the existing algorithms, DTMP can work at much lower compression rates, and can subtract the background successfully with a lower mean squared error and better visual quality for both offline and online compressed video background subtraction.Due to the development of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), significant progress has been achieved in text-to-image synthesis task. However, most previous works have only focus on learning the semantic consistency between paired images and sentences, without exploring the semantic correlation between different yet related sentences that describe the same image, which leads to significant visual variation among the synthesized images. Accordingly, in this article, we propose a new method for text-to-image synthesis, dubbed Multi-sentence Auxiliary Generative Adversarial Networks (MA-GAN); this approach not only improves the generation quality but also guarantees the generation similarity of related sentences by exploring the semantic correlation between different sentences describing the same image. &lt;p&gt;We evaluated 49 patients with chronic periodontitis who visited the Department of Periodontology at Wonkwang University Dental Hospital.  Recurrence is common after inappropriate surgical procedures for parotid pleomorphic adenoma (PA). However, there are some controversies regarding intraoperative tumor rupture and disease recurrence; therefore, our goal was to clarify this relationship by describing our experience with 128 cases of recurrent parotid PA. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Patients suffering from a first recurrence of parotid PA were prospectively enrolled, and data regarding the operation, pathology, immunohistochemistry, and recurrence pattern (outside the previous surgical field vs. inside the previous surgical field) were extracted and analyzed. The recurrent lesions were divided into two groups based on the location of nodularity. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The aim of this study was to identify miRNAs and their gene targets involved in the invasive phenotype in pancreatic cancer to better understand the biological behaviour and the rapid progression of this disease. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;miRNA profiling was performed in isogenic matched high invasive and low-invasive subclones derived from the MiaPaCa-2 cell line and validated in a panel of pancreatic cancer cell lines, tumour, and normal pancreas. Diabetes affects quality of life through associated complications, comorbidity, and disease burden. Consequently, people have frequent healthcare visits. This study assessed quality of life and healthcare utilization patterns among type 2 diabetic populations in an urban area of eastern Nepal. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A cross-sectional study was conducted among 270 participants of age ≥20 years with type 2 diabetes in Itahari using a semistructured questionnaire. A D-39 questionnaire was used to assess quality of life. Five wards were selected by systematic random sampling, and the population was proportionate according to the sample size.       <description>&lt;p&gt;Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is an important cause of enterically transmitted viral hepatitis and a significant contributor to maternal mortality in endemic regions around the world, yet the global response has been limited. HEV is a disease of poverty, and the populations experiencing the greatest burden of HEV-associated illness are not benefitting from existing interventions, including WASH strategies and immunization. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Though a vaccine exists (HEV 239, Hecolin®, Xiamen Innovax Biotech, China), it is only licensed and available in the private market in China and has yet to be prequalified by the WHO for use in endemic settings and outbreaks. This review of the current state of HEV disease and subsequent recommendations for a coordinated public health response are intended to guide the global health community towards breaking the current 'vicious cycle,' in which a lack of data prevents actions that would improve health outcomes. &lt;/p&gt;

This study aimed to determine the contents of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb and Zn by ICP-MS, CVAAS and ICP-AES in paddy and brown rice, grown in different soils of Cuba. The interest to include Cr, Ni, Cu and Zn was because these elements are found in very high levels in agricultural soils. To assess the safety of the dietary intake of these metals, the estimated weekly intake was calculated. The contents of Cd and As were below the maximum limits. A higher value was obtained for Pb when compared to Codex Alimentarius limits. The weekly intake of Cr and Ni was higher than the maximum weekly intake recommended by FAO/WHO. &lt;br&gt;
 This qualitative evaluation study assessed perceived impacts of a solution-focused coaching (SFC) training rolled out in a Canadian pediatric rehabilitation hospital from the perspective of clinical service providers. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thirteen clinical service providers were interviewed six months after receiving 2-day SFC training. Participants retrospectively described perceived impacts of the training and benefits and challenges pertinent to the implementation of the SFC approach. Interview transcripts were transcribed verbatim and analyzed thematically. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;SFC training was considered making a valuable addition to participants' toolbox, increasing their confidence in developing positive therapeutic alliance with clients, and enhancing their strengths-based orientation. The training was also seen improving team cohesion and promoting collaborative solution-finding among team members. Structural barriers such as time constraints, lack of continuous organizational support and clear expectations around the use of the SFC approach were reported as factors impeding effective clinical adaptation. The need for tailoring the SFC approach to unique service contexts was also reported. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Future SFC training initiatives should integrate a team-based approach and a culturally sensitive lens to help providers better assist clients in identifying their unique strengths. Follow-up training and continuous organizational support mechanisms will be vital for facilitating sustainable implementation after the initial training. &lt;br&gt;

While there is adequate literature on sexual dysfunction with heroin use, the literature is scarce on the emotional aspects of sex, like the perception of sexual relationship, self-esteem, and satisfaction amongst heroin users. The study assessed these parameters among treatment-naïve, sexually active, married, male patients with heroin dependence. We interviewed 63 treatment-naïve men seeking treatment for heroin dependence using Self-esteem and Relationship Questionnaire (SEAR), New Sexual Satisfaction Scale-Short form (NSSS-S), Sexual Quality of Life Questionnaire-Male (SQoL-M), Index of Premature Ejaculation (IPE), and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). Overall scores in SEAR, NSSS-S, SQoL-M, IIEF, and IPE were low, suggesting poor self-esteem and relationship, poor sexual quality of life and sexual satisfaction, higher premature ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction. Injecting drug use was associated with lower scores on confidence domain of SEAR, partner activity focused domain of NSSS-S, intercourse-satisfaction, and overall sexual quality of life. Sexual dysfunctions, poor sexual relationship, and sexual quality of life are common among men seeking treatment for heroin dependence. Treatment strategies must not lose focus on this dimension of health during the treatment process.Neospora caninum caninum is a protozoan parasite that can cause abortions, birth of congenitally infected calves, and reduced milk production in cattle. Neosporosis in cattle can be transmitted through vertical transplacental transmission from dam to calf, or through horizontal transmission between animals.
