Hey guys! A quick post..I decided to get back on learning programming. This will be my third attempt however, now I will be streaming live on Twitch! I know it has been a while since I made a post, but now I'm excited to stream myself learning JS through the Odin Project. If anyone is on twitch you can follow me here---->https://twitch.tv/hethinksthrice Wish me luck!!

Hello! It has been a while since I have updated on this blogging site. This is my first time blogging so it kinda hard to keep up with it. Over the past month I finally have begun learning Javascript. I spent a good 3 months learning programming fundamentals with python, and now I am ready to begin learning Javascript.
This time around, since I learned programming concepts through python, now it is easier to grasp the fundamentals for Javascript. therefore, it makes learning feel more like a review. Strings, values, if/else, etc. My goal is to learn the fundamentals...learn CSS and HTML and then begin building my own mini projects..till next time.

As of today I finished Ch 14 of the Python Crash Course book. To be honest, it was overwhelming. However, I did get a good grasp of what it takes to build a full video game project. It showed me how important the fundamental concepts are. I will continue working on the final two projects(Data visualization, Django). My goal is to grasp the what it takes to build these projects, and then I will review the fundamental concepts AGAIN. I try my best to understand the code that I followed to create Space Invaders, but I understand I still have a long way to go.

Still working on the Space invaders game. Struggled with some basic things such as ship not moving, spending hours going back between my book and youtube videos, stack overflow..etc. The progress is coming along smoothly.. I am an Artist. So I love creating and destroying. Programming gives me the same feeling as a creative and I cant wait to continue growing to mesh these worlds together. I have some "ideas" for the future and learning programming gives me a sense of strength that was missing from my life. Anyways that really all I have at the moment. This is my first time blogging so bare with me.

Today was a little difficult. I began working on my first project creating ay first game. A lot of “def” functions were being used to structure the code for the game. Although I remember the fundamentals..it was kinda uneasy building today due to barely understanding my code..sometimes I makes me question if it’s worth it. I wonder if I’m even blogging correctly…anyways I will continue tomorrow.

It's been really busy at the job. I've been working on my tracks for music. I started the project development for the space invaders game. I worked on the basic functions that is needed to create a screen for the game. Its interesting to create a blank screen. I felt accomplished just creating a black screen. Tomorrow, I plan to work on this more before work. One of the biggest challenges is that I feel like I'm not learning...but I know that coding takes time...and practice...similar to making music. I will keep updating on my progress as much as possible.

So I finally got my Microsoft surface go replaced. I started learning how to code for about 3 months now. Using "Python Crash Course" by Eric Matthes as my guide, I have a decent understanding of the basic fundamentals....I haven't coded since then..so now I will spend the day reviewing the fundamentals. Soon I will begin creating my first project. A space invaders game..(pretty basic, I know). But I am excited to finally apply what I learned in the past couple of months! I will do my best to blog my journey!
