Have you ever opened your fridge, seen a bunch of random ingredients, and thought: “What am I supposed to make with this?” 😭

That’s the problem I wanted to solve with FridgeChef.

FridgeChef is a web app that helps you discover recipes based on the ingredients you already have. You enter what’s in your fridge, and it finds recipe ideas that match your ingredients.

FridgeChef includes:

🥕 Ingredient-based recipe matching
🍳 Recipe suggestions
📊 Match scoring
🛒 Shopping-list functionality
🤖 AI-powered recipe assistance
🔐 User authentication
📱 Responsive design for desktop and mobile

I built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with Firebase for parts of the application.

💡 Why I built it

I wanted to create something that solves a simple everyday problem while giving me the opportunity to learn more about web development, AI, authentication, and building a complete product.

This project has also taught me a lot about turning an idea into an actual working application rather than just leaving it as a concept.
