Every developer copies dozens of things an hour: commands, tokens, URLs, stack traces. And macOS keeps exactly one of them.

So I built Klip, a clipboard history app for Mac with three rules:

Searchable. Type a few letters and find anything you copied earlier.

Offline. No account, no cloud sync, no analytics. Your clipboard often holds passwords and API keys, so it never leaves your machine.

Fast. One shortcut to open, arrow keys to pick, Enter to paste.

That's it. No AI, no subscriptions to your data.

👉 Get Klip on the Mac App Store

I'd love feedback from fellow devs: what would make you switch clipboard managers?

Your Mac clipboard forgets everything. Klip doesn't.

The built-in Mac clipboard keeps one thing: whatever you copied last. Copy a second item and the first one is gone.

Klip is a menu bar app that keeps a searchable local history of what you copy:

Text

Images

Links

Files

Open it with a shortcut, search, and paste the item back. History stays on your Mac. Fully offline. No extra permissions. Free on the Mac App Store.

Download Klip on the Mac App Store
