The trip plan ends where the evening starts

Most trip plans are good at the big pieces: flights, the hotel, the main sights. Then it's 7pm in a new city, everyone is tired and hungry, and the plan has nothing to say about what happens next.

The small decisions add up. Where to eat that suits one person's food rules and another person's budget. Whether that event across town is worth the trip at the end of a long day. What fits nearby with the time and energy you actually have left. None of this makes it into the itinerary, and it is usually the same person sorting it out on their phone.

How SearchSpot approaches it. The local guide answers these smaller questions with the same context as the rest of your trip. Ask where to eat, what to do tonight, or which event is worth it, and the answer accounts for food needs, budget, distance, timing and who you are with. During a trip, it works around your itinerary instead of ignoring it.

It's useful between trips too. The same help works at home: where to meet friends, how to spend the weekend, which class to try nearby. Travel decisions and everyday local decisions run on the same questions about fit.

What it doesn't do. Local recommendations are informational. SearchSpot can help you choose the restaurant or the event, but it doesn't book tables or tickets for them.

That's the idea behind SearchSpot: a human-backed AI travel concierge that asks the questions you never thought to ask and puts you before commissions.

Between trips, try asking SearchSpot about tonight or this weekend at searchspot.ai.

A good hotel can be the wrong hotel for your trip

The question that gets skipped. Does this hotel work for this trip? As an illustration, a well-reviewed place on the wrong side of town can add a long transfer to every single day. A cheap flight that lands late can turn the first night into a taxi problem. The cheapest visible price is not always the cheapest trip.

How SearchSpot approaches it. You start with what you actually want, not with filters. SearchSpot asks follow-up questions about dates, budget, who is travelling, interests and constraints, then helps compare destinations, neighborhoods, hotels and flights in the context of the whole trip. The hotel gets judged against your route and your people, not just its own listing.

What you get from it. A choice you can explain. Instead of five open tabs that all look fine, you see what each option would change about the trip: the route, the days and the full cost of the choice, not just the headline price.

What it doesn't do. Date-based estimates are advisory, not live quotes. A fit check lays out the trade-offs, and the decision stays yours.

That's the idea behind SearchSpot: a human-backed AI travel concierge that asks the questions you never thought to ask and puts you before commissions.

Next time a shortlist won't resolve into a choice, bring it to searchspot.ai and ask what each option would change.

Your saved reels are not a travel plan yet

Most trips start with a reel. A cliffside cafe, a ferry ride, a market you'd love to walk through. You save it, and it sits in a folder with hundreds of others, never quite becoming part of an actual trip.

The reel created the desire. It didn't answer any of the questions that come next.

What a reel leaves out. Where exactly is this place? Does it fit your dates and budget? How do you get there from where you're staying? What would adding it push out of the day?

What SearchSpot does with it. Paste an Instagram or YouTube link into Home or Chat, or link your Instagram account and send reels straight to SearchSpot. The reel becomes planning input in the same conversation as your dates, budget and companions.

Why that matters. A saved place only becomes useful when it's checked against the rest of the trip. Sometimes it fits neatly. Sometimes it can't fit the day you have, and it's better to know that before you build plans around it.

What it doesn't do. A reel is still someone else's highlight. SearchSpot helps you work out what the place is and whether it works for your trip, but it can't promise the view will look like the video.

That's the idea behind SearchSpot: a human-backed AI travel concierge that asks the questions you never thought to ask, and puts you before commissions.

Next time you save a travel reel, try sending it over and see what questions come back.

The hotel price keeps moving after you book

Most travel tools stop paying attention the moment you pay. The price doesn't. A refundable room can get cheaper while free cancellation is still open, and checking it again by hand is the kind of chore nobody actually does.

That's the gap the booked-stay price watch in SearchSpot is built for.

What it watches. For eligible refundable stays, SearchSpot keeps repricing your booking while free cancellation is still available. It checks every four hours.

What counts as a better deal. The same room, or one judged equivalent or better, at least 5% below what you actually paid. Room type, occupancy, board and cancellation terms all matter. A cheaper but worse room is not a saving, so it doesn't count.

What happens next. You get an alert to review the offer and its terms. SearchSpot does not cancel or rebook anything for you. You decide whether the switch is worth it.

What it doesn't do. It doesn't cover every booking or every supplier, and it can't promise a drop will happen. Sometimes the price you booked is simply the price.

Why compare like for like. A "price drop" measured against the cheapest room on the page is how you end up trading a room with breakfast for one without it, or a flexible rate for a locked one (an illustrative example, not a real case). Comparing the same product against what you paid is the only comparison that's honest.

It's one small piece of what SearchSpot is trying to be: a planning partner that keeps paying attention to the trip after checkout, and puts you before commissions.

If you have a refundable stay coming up, that's the case I'd most like you to try it on.

Checking a trip before you book it

Booking a hotel takes minutes. Knowing it's the right hotel for your route, your people and your budget takes much longer. That gap is what I'm building SearchSpot for: an AI travel concierge that asks the questions you didn't think to ask, and puts you before commissions.

Review your itinerary before you commit. Paste or upload a plan. SearchSpot pulls it apart, asks for what's missing, then checks each activity, each day, what one day does to the next, and the trip as a whole. "Fix this" edits a copy, so your original review stays intact.

Price watch after you book. For eligible refundable stays, it keeps checking while free cancellation is open. If a comparable or better room shows up at least 5% below what you paid, you get an alert. Nothing is cancelled for you. You decide.

Saved reels become plans. Drop in an Instagram or YouTube link and the place lands in your actual trip instead of a forgotten saves folder.

One workspace for the trip. Brief, day plan, maps and expenses stay together, so you don't rebuild the plan every time something changes.

Book wherever you want. Recommendations aren't limited to what we can sell. If the better value is somewhere else, that's where you should book.

The hard part of travel was never the checkout. It's choosing well and keeping the plan together after.

SearchSpot claries your context and builds your trip. And best part the clarifications don't only enriches your profile but are structured into trip briefs which can be cross used concretely in chats using the same trip context by your friends too.
