First, I would like to thank you for being here with me as we go over some database fundamentals that I've learned throughout my career as a Software Engineer.

The goal of this series is to bridge the gap between Software Developers and Backend Database Admins.

Before we start, I would like to thank Brent Ozar for opening my eyes to how the world of SQL, especially Microsoft SQL, works behind the scenes. I encourage you to visit his free course for more in-depth understanding of Microsoft SQL.

As for this series of articles, I would like to focus on the Software Developer's point of view rather than the DBA side of things. The reason for that is I want the posts to be short and direct for developers!
