I love movies, and I watch something almost every day. Which means "what should I watch" comes up almost every day too. Sometimes I scroll forever and end up watching nothing. Other times I manage to pick something from the options Netflix decided to show me — then it doesn't fit my mood, and I quit halfway through. I love movies. Choosing them is what was wearing me out.

At some point I noticed that the viewing experiences I actually remember are the ones where the film happened to fit the mood I was in. That's why I built WHILM.

It starts with one question: "How was your day?" Two more follow — three taps in all — and it picks a few films to fit your mood right now.

Stack: Next.js static export, Flask on Cloud Run.

Try it: https://whilm.com/en/?utm_source=devto — free, no sign-up.
