 To measure the scientific production of the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Perú (INS) through bibliometric indicators of production, collaboration and impact. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Bibliometric study of original publications from journals indexed in Scopus and Scielo Peru in the period between 1998 and 2018. The production indicators were the number of publications per year and per subperiod (1998-2008 and 2009- 2018), by theme, and by journal. The collaboration indicators were the co-authorship index, the number of institutional signatures, the national and international collaboration rate, the proportion of first-time authorship with INS affiliation. The impact indicators were the number of citations per year, citation/document index, the proportion of documents ever cited and the citation speed. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A total of 618 publications had at least one author with INS affiliation. From these, 55.9% (346/618) were published in Peruvian scientific journals and 30 INS authors were major producers. When comparing glycemia in the treated and control groups, no difference was observed (P &amp;gt; 0.05) at 24 hours and four days of treatment; while at the eighth (P &amp;lt; 0.05) and fifteenth day (P &amp;lt; 0.01) the treated groups had lower glycemia than the control group, but it was similar among them. &lt;/p&gt;

A visual analogue scale (VAS) was used for measuring low back pain. Results In the experimental group, 26 (out of 40; 65.0%) patients were females, in the control group 20 (out of 41; 48.8%) were females (p=0.141). In a within-group comparison, median of VAS value was significantly decreased in both groups after ITT. A comparison of pre-intervention and post-intervention VAS value showed no statistically significant difference. Females from the experimental group had a significantly greater decrease of VAS compared with females from the control group. Patients in the ITT group with L5/S1 level of hernia had lower estimated marginal mean of VAS scale compared to the control group, as well the patients with left side of leg pain. Some of these conditions may be nowadays treated by arthroscopy due to the expertise and technical tips that high-volume hip arthroscopies have achieved during the last decades ensuring a wider range of indications for such a procedure. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical results of arthroscopy in treating uncommon or rare diseases of the hip at a single Institution. Methods Thirteen patients affected by several types of diseases were treated by a hip arthroscopy and retrospectively evaluated. All patients were operated by the same surgeon, instrumentation and technique, but postoperative rehabilitative protocol was tailored on each patient and his disease. Each patient underwent a specific imaging, consisting of dedicated x-rays and arthro-MRI. Modified Harris Hip score (mHHS) and Non-Arthritic Hip score (NAHS) were used before and after surgery to clinically assess the outcome. Results All patients reported satisfaction, pain relief, and a good functional recovery at the latest follow-up visit. Only one patient affected by chondromatosis reported a recurrence of synovitis and needed a further arthroscopy 25 months after the index operation. No complications were reported at the latest follow-up. The NAHS and mHHS showed good improvements and all patients referred high satisfaction. &lt;p&gt;Over a 6-week period, PPE helpers made 268 ward visits. Overall, 261 questionnaires were available for analysis. Across the Trust, 68% of respondents reported having had contact with a PPE helper. Staff who had encountered a PPE helper responded significantly more positively to a range of statements about using PPE than staff who had not encountered a PPE helper. Black and minority ethnic staff were significantly more anxious regarding the adequacy of PPE. Non-clinical and redeployed staff (e.g. domestic staff) were most positive about the impact of PPE helpers. To gain insight into the role of mitochondria in kidney homeostasis and pathogenesis, we targeted mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM), a protein required for mitochondrial DNA replication and transcription that plays a critical part in the maintenance of mitochondrial mass and function. To examine the consequences of disrupted mitochondrial function in kidney epithelial cells, we inactivated TFAM in sine oculis-related homeobox 2-expressing kidney progenitor cells. TFAM deficiency resulted in significantly decreased mitochondrial gene expression, mitochondrial depletion, inhibition of nephron maturation and the development of severe postnatal cystic disease, which resulted in premature death. This was associated with abnormal mitochondrial morphology, a reduction in oxygen consumption and increased glycolytic flux. Furthermore, we found that TFAM expression was reduced in murine and human polycystic kidneys, which was accompanied by mitochondrial depletion. Thus, our data suggest that dysregulation of TFAM expression and mitochondrial depletion are molecular features of kidney cystic disease that may contribute to its pathogenesis.Metabolic acidosis induces osteoclastic bone resorption and inhibits osteoblastic bone formation. Previously we found that mice with a global deletion of the proton receptor OGR1 had increased bone density although both osteoblast and osteoclast activity were increased. To test whether direct effects on osteoclast OGR1 are critical for metabolic acidosis stimulated bone resorption, we generated knockout mice with an osteoclast-specific deletion of OGR1 (knockout mice). We studied bones from three-month old female mice and the differentiated osteoclasts derived from bone marrow of femurs from these knockout and wild type mice. MicroCT demonstrated increased density in tibiae and femurs but not in vertebrae of the knockout mice. Tartrate resistant acid phosphatase staining of tibia indicated a decrease in osteoclast number and surface area/bone surface from knockout compared to wild type mice. Osteoclasts derived from the marrow of knockout mice demonstrated decreased pit formation, osteoclast staining and osteoclast-specific gene expression compared to those from wild type mice. In response to metabolic acidosis, osteoclasts from knockout mice had decreased nuclear translocation of NFATc1, a transcriptional regulator of differentiation, and no increase in size or number compared to osteoclasts from wild type mice. Thus, loss of osteoclast OGR1 decreased both basal and metabolic acidosis-induced osteoclast activity indicating osteoclast OGR1 is important in mediating metabolic acidosis-induced bone resorption. Improvements over time in transplant care and cancer treatment may have affected incidence and outcomes of cancer among recipients of kidney transplant. To evaluate this, we used linked United States transplant and cancer registry data to study 101,014 adult recipients of kidney transplants over three decades (1987-1996, 1997-2006, 2007-2016). Poisson regression was used to assess trends in incidence for cancer overall and seven common cancers. Associations of cancer with risk of death-censored graft failure (DCGF) and death with functioning graft (DWFG) were evaluated with Cox regression. iCRT14 chemical structure We also estimated absolute risks of DCGF and graft failure following cancer for recipients transplanted in 2007-2016. Here, we developed TPGS-coated cationic liposomes with Bcl-2 siRNA corona to load doxorubicin (Dox) i.e., Bcl-2 siRNA/Dox-TPGS-LPs, to enhance anticancer effect of Dox in HCC-MDR. TPGS i.e., d-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate, inhibited P-glycoprotein (P-gp) efflux pump and Bcl-2 siRNA suppressed anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein. The Bcl-2 siRNA loaded in the liposomal corona was observed under transmission electron microscopy. The stability and hemolysis evaluation demonstrated Bcl-2 siRNA/Dox-TPGS-LPs had good biocompatibility and siRNA-corona could protect the liposomal core to avoid the attachment of fetal bovine serum. In drug-resistant cells, TPGS effectively prolonged intracellular Dox retention time and siRNA-corona did improve the internalization of Dox from liposomes. In vitro and in vivo anticancer effect of this dual-functional nanostructure was examined in HCC-MDR Bel7402/5-FU tumor model. MTT assay confirmed the IC50 value of Dox was 20-50 fold higher in Bel7402/5-FU MDR cells than that in sensitive Bel7402 cells. Bcl-2 siRNA corona successfully entered the cytosol of Bel7402/5-FU MDR cells to downregulate Bcl-2 protein levels in vitro and in vivo.  Although youth report many positive experiences with social media (SM) use in their daily lives, adolescents with depression are more vulnerable to the risks of SM use than adolescents without depression. Parents protect adolescents with depression from the risks of SM use by monitoring their child's SM activity; however, this comes into conflict with the adolescent's need for autonomy in their web-based communication. The implications of SM use and monitoring for adolescents with depression and their parents are of particular relevance to the COVID-19 pandemic, as rates of SM use have increased in response to physical distancing measures. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This study aims to explore parent and child perspectives regarding the use and function of SM in the daily lives of adolescents with depression and parents' perceptions of and experience with monitoring their child's SM use. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We conducted qualitative interviews with adolescents with depression (n=23) and one parent of each adolescent (n=23) between July 2013 and Septemng direct solicitation and indirect solicitation, such as keeping the child's passwords, asking friends or siblings about their child's SM use, and restricting SM behavior and access to devices. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Abstract and full-text reviews were conducted by 2 reviewers independently. A total of 4 databases were used for the study CINAHL (EBSCO), ProQuest (ABI/INFORM), Scopus, and PubMed.
