🌊 Ripple — Turn Community Needs Into Action

  What I Built

Ripple is a community-driven platform that turns real-world problems into opportunities for people to help.

The idea is simple: someone identifies a need, and someone else can become the ripple that helps create change.

Users can create a Ripple describing a problem or community need. Gemini AI analyzes the submission and transforms it into a structured, actionable Ripple with clear information about the problem, who is affected, and ways people can contribute.

From there, Ripples become discoverable through the Explore page, where people can search and filter through different causes and open individual Ripple pages to learn more and find ways to help.

The goal wasn't just to build another social platform. I wanted to explore how AI could help turn "someone should do something about this" into "here's how you can help."

  Demo

Live Demo: https://ripple-theta-five.vercel.app/

  Code

GitHub: https://github.com/Iremide-tech/Ripple.git

  How I Built It

Ripple was built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Gemini AI, and Supabase.

The core flow is:

User identifies a community need
            ↓
       Creates a Ripple
            ↓
       Gemini AI analyzes it
            ↓
    Structured Ripple generated
            ↓
      Ripple appears in Explore
            ↓
     People discover the cause
            ↓
       People can contribute

  Google Gemini AI

AI is at the heart of Ripple.

Instead of simply storing a user's raw description, Gemini analyzes the community need and produces structured information that makes the problem easier to understand and act on.

This helps transform unstructured community concerns into something people can actually discover and respond to.

  Explore

The Explore experience lets users browse Ripples using search and filtering, making it easier to discover causes that matter to them.

Each Ripple has its own page containing the relevant information and contribution options.

  Supabase

Supabase is integrated as the backend/database layer, giving Ripple a path toward persistent community-created content rather than keeping everything limited to a single session.

  Frontend

The interface was built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with a focus on making the experience feel modern, lightweight, and responsive across devices.

  Prize Categories

  Best Use of Google AI

Ripple is being submitted for Best Use of Google AI.

Gemini isn't simply used as a chatbot. It is integrated directly into the product's core workflow to analyze community needs and transform them into structured, actionable Ripples.

The goal is to use AI as a bridge between identifying problems and finding ways to help solve them.

  Why Ripple?

There are countless problems around us that people notice but don't know how to act on.

Ripple is built around one idea:

Every act of generosity can create another ripple.

One person identifies a need.

Another person notices it.

Someone decides to help.

And that action creates a ripple that can reach further than the original act.

Note: not finished yet but the MVP is functional, Had to post because i'm running out of time

Explore. Create. Impact. 🌊

BUD AI - YOUR AI COMPANION

This is a submission for the DEV's Worldwide Show and Tell Challenge Presented by Mux

  What I Built

This Bud, An Ai companion App

  My Pitch Video

https://player.mux.com/70102UY9vvwWnxwAytz7p5UwbaIZvwJYJfx2pyldIROVc

  Demo

Demo: https://bud-ai-xi.vercel.app/

  The Story Behind It

After watching The Mitchells vs. the Machines, I realized most AIs today don’t feel alive — they answer, but they don’t connect. That idea stuck with me, so I started building BUD: an AI that talks, reacts, and feels more like a companion than a tool.

  Technical Highlights

Technical Highlights

BUD stands out through a tightly integrated, future-ready AI architecture designed for natural interaction, scalability, and real-world deployment:

🤖 Conversational AI Core

BUD is powered by a context-aware AI engine capable of maintaining long-term conversational state, enabling natural follow-ups like “do it again” or “make it shorter” without repeating instructions.

🎙️ Immersive Voice-First Experience

Beyond text, BUD supports real-time voice interaction through a full-screen immersive call interface. Users can speak naturally, receive human-like responses, and interact hands-free — blurring the line between assistant and companion.

🧠 Multi-Modal Interaction Layer

BUD is built to seamlessly handle text, voice, and UI-driven interactions, allowing users to switch input modes without breaking context or flow.

⚙️ Modular AI Pipeline

The system is designed with modular AI components (speech recognition, reasoning, response generation, and TTS), making it easy to swap models, optimize performance, or add new capabilities without rewriting the core system.

🌍 Deployment-Ready Platform

BUD is not a local demo — it is engineered for cloud deployment, real-time usage, and future integrations, laying the foundation for expansion into mobile apps, desktop companions, and XR environments.

Use of Mux (Additional Prize Category Participants Only)

We used Mux to host and stream BUD’s demo video, ensuring smooth, high-quality playback that showcased BUD’s immersive voice and real-time AI interaction. Mux’s simple integration allowed us to focus on core development while making our demo accessible worldwide.

Still on it, just wanted to share my progress
