The year 2021 seems to be the year of the IT industry that has developed a lot during the pandemic. New opportunities have emerged for entrepreneurs who have managed to attract many projects.

Thus was born a new start-up for outsourcing companies, namely Global Technology Services Innovation which provides software services.

Global Technology is an outsourcing company founded in 2021 that works with clients from several industries such as:

Manufacturing

Healthcare

Automobile

Banking

Real Estate

Logistics

Insurance

Capital Markets

This new company offers full stack services of:

Frontend

Backend

UX/UI

QA automation

DevOps

AR/VR

At the moment, employees from Global Technology Services work 100% from home. When things will relax with the pandemic, the company's managers will rent offices in different countrys to be able to work hybrid, both remote and from the office, all remaining at the choice of employees.

The expansion plans are very big and in the next years it is desired to expand the company by attracting new projects thus creating new jobs.

Global Technology Services focuses on customers in countries such as:

Untied States

Europe

Canada

Australia

After a brief discussion with human resources staff, we learned that Global Technology focuses on staff selection. We want to attract the best IT people in the industry, thus attracting and retaining the strongest customers with interesting projects.

Currently the company is preparing to invest in employee training, so they are ready to work with the latest technologies meeting customer requirements.

Attracting customers is a rather difficult process, which is why quality comes first. Most customers come from recommendations. Satisfied customers recommend the company to other entrepreneurs or product companies and thus manage to select the best projects.

Hey guys,
Below is a list of questions that any back-end .net developer should know in 2021 interviews.

Benefits of microservices?

How would you design microservice? (what would be your ideas on how to split the monolith?)

How can microservices communicate? (orchestration vs. choreography)

How to track problems? (distributed tracing, CorrelationID)

Lifecycle of the request (middlewares, attributes, registered implementation in Startup) - ActionFilters (before, after, namespace level?)

Authentication, authorization (tokens, deserialization, how to add)

System designs / architecture (monolith design, microservices advantages/disadvantages, scaling vertically/horizontally)

Distributed tracing, logging between microservices

VMWare vs Docker (do I need an operating system?)

API Communications (how the microservices should communicate?)

.NET Core experience?

Dependency injection (any 3rd party library?, transient vs scoped, why to use transient?)

EF (default objects lifestyle?, how to convert to transient, how to initialize CS?, replace on-the-fly?, code-first migration), what happens when there is a context change, lazy-loading vs. eager-loading)

Delegate?

Func vs regular function? Reason to have delegates?

SignalR? How it works? (how to differentiate between two tabs?)

Securing WebAPI? (something token based?, accessToken vs. refreshToken (what I am sending to get each?), which one has larger expiration?, slidin experience?)

HTTP status codes (+ POST vs PUT )

Best practices when building API, what should you consider

Security of microservices (authentication, authorization)

Domain Driven Design

JWT (refresh/access token)

What is CORS?

Redis (what is special about that? distributed cache?)

Task/Thread

DBs - Indexes (clustered/non-clustered, index vs unique index)

Which ORM? (EF, Dapper, lazy/eager loading)

Locks on the DB

How to switch the context based on the requests? (middlewares)

IDisposable

IQueryable vs IEnumerable

IList vs List (difference, where to use it?)

Using keyword

Explicit conversion

Int16 vs Int32 vs Int64

unsigned vs signed int

Paging (how it works, DB level, LINQ)

Lazy loading vs eager loading

Microservices (structure, how it works)

RESTful vs SOAP (verbs)

Difference between horizontal and vertical scaling

What is long polling?

Microservices (synchronous IO pattern, orchestration vs. choreography)

Message vs. Event

API Gateway

Out vs. Ref parameter

InnerJoin vs OuterJoin

GroupBy and Having SQL statements

Clustered vs. Non-clustered index

Auto reset events vs. manual reset events

Semaphore vs mutex

Preflight requests

Index scan vs Index seek

DB examples (selects, indexes, order by)

AutoMapper

Dapper

Show that you are able to work with blurry requirements

Show that you are proactive, you are asking additional questions

Show you are able to do tradeoffs

This list of questions was created using the platform We are hiring top

Make 11760 Euros per month as a Freelancer More freedom in IT

The year 2020 was a year with many surprises and changes. I guess you guessed it, the biggest surprise was the COVID-19 pandemic due which many industries suffered but there were also industries that developed in an alert way and that adapted to the new conditions without too much effort.

For IT industry, the biggest challenge was moving employees from offices to the online environment, working from home. After this step, the mindset of corporate managers changed and they began to give more freedom to employees, becoming even more open to future collaborations.

Gradually, the big brands agreed to work with outsourcing companies outside their countries of origin, and even started hiring from abroad for their projects in full remote mode.

At the moment, the main problem in the IT industry is not the pandemic or the lack of projects, but rather the main problem is the lack of staff. There are many projects that cannot be developed due to the lack of staff in this field.

The effect of the snowball has made its presence felt and now the snowballs are constantly growing and it is possible to become a giant.

Lack of staff has helped freelancers grow. Some, in the IT industry, work on 2 or 3 projects at the same time, somewhere at 10-16 hours a day. The current conditions are very favorable for freelancers because many corporations have started working with contractors. In the online environment, Freelance online jobs are at your discretion.

It should be mentioned that freelancers work on hourly rates and these rates depend on the complexity of the project but also on the client's location. Thus, the best clients, such as those from Germany or Switzerland, end up paying 60 euros/h and clients with smaller budgets in Malta end up paying somewhere around 22.5 euros/h for a Senior position. Now it's perfect time to Discover Freelancer lifestyle.

After a discussion with an experienced freelancer who worked on two projects, I found out that he had come to charge approximately 70 euros/h in February. This rate was calculated for 2 full time projects where the daily tasks were solved in about 10 hours and not 16 as would have been normal. Per month will be approximately 11760 euro.

Questions for you:

What do you think about freelancing lifestyle?

Do you like it or do you think to try in future?

Are you currently a freelancer?

We are hiring join our team?

Recently I decided to become a freelancer

I started my software developer career in 2016 as an employee in corporations. I learned a lot and I had very cool colleagues. I started working as a game developer in Unity3D.

After a year and 3 months I decided to change the corporation and started working for a bank in Italy, Milan. I worked in this bank for almost 1 year and a few months. The experience was very beautiful because I was working in a foreign country and I was starting to travel.

After this experience I changed the corporation again and started working in the financial field. I work with Microsoft .net technologies on the backend and API integration side.

The financial project was very complex. It was a web application from which I learned a lot. I had almost 5 years of experience in the field, but I didn't seem to be fully satisfied.

Something was missing, but I didn't know what. I lacked freedom and independence.

In 2021 I decided to try to find clients and become a freelancer.
I started looking for projects on linkedin, upwork, everywhere. Finding clients becomes a real challenge for me.

In the end, I found my first clients with the help of closed freelancing platforms like: We are hiring

At this moment I benefit from all the advantages of this lifestyle and my income has tripled.

How did you manage to find your first clients as a freelancer?
