How I Built It

I used ChatGPT, with the AI Katia plugin (my own).

 Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

Open innovation made it possible to turn an idea into an interactive experience by combining human creativity with AI-assisted development. I used ChatGPT by OpenAI to help develop Ghost in the Machine, from shaping the concept to building its single-file HTML, CSS, and JavaScript implementation.

The project brings together three distinct experiences: an interactive séance terminal, a remembrance altar for preserving memories, and a fictional archive of digital mysteries.

By keeping the application self-contained and built with web technologies, the project is easier to explore, inspect, and adapt. Its optional Ollama integration also allows experimentation with locally hosted AI models.

Open innovation makes it possible for developers to experiment, learn, and build on ideas without needing to create every component from scratch.

 My Agent Session

I used ChatGPT by OpenAI as my AI development assistant to help design and implement Ghost in the Machine. AI assistance helped bring the concept together as a working, interactive web demo in a single HTML file.

DevRelay agent session: Not linked yet.

 The Spirit of It

What happens to a memory when the person behind it is gone? And what happens when our digital traces outlive the moment that created them?

Ghost in the Machine explores those questions through an eerie, interactive digital afterlife. The Remembrance Altar lets visitors preserve written memories in their browser, while the Digital Afterlife Archive presents fictional cases that invite visitors to imagine what might linger inside our machines.

The project isn't claiming that computers are haunted. Instead, it explores the unsettling idea that technology can preserve fragments of us: our words, our stories, and the things we choose not to forget.

Sometimes the ghost isn't a supernatural being. Sometimes it's the trace we leave behind.

 Prize Categories

To be completed after checking the challenge's official partner prize categories and eligibility requirements.

Need help with a lightweight WebGL renderer sample (Vanilla JS / Three.js r79)

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a human developer to help me create or fix a basic WebGL 3D renderer sample that can run smoothly on my desktop browser.

Due to strict local network/CORS filters on my computer (parental control software), I cannot load modern packages via CDN importmaps, and external script injections are being completely blocked.

I need a completely self-contained HTML file where all the JavaScript goes strictly at the bottom of the page. It can be written in pure Vanilla WebGL (GLSL shaders) or using an older standalone library like Three.js r79, as long as it requires 0 external internet requests to render an animated 3D object.

If anyone has a working template or could quickly write a clean sample for me, I would appreciate it so much! Thank you!
