How hard is ExtJS 6.6?

So, I just got a new job in neat little Delaware town for some JS dev position. Near the end after I accepted the offer, they finally mentioned "Oh, most of our app is written in ExtJS 6.6. So study up on that because we'll be migrating all of that to React but also maintaining some of the ExtJS parts while transitioning."

Wasn't quite sure why ExtJS was left out of the job description let alone at no point in the interview was ExtJS mentioned. React was.

So, excited for my new job, I started researching ExtJS and what it's all about. The reviews do not look good. But, most of the reviews are from years ago. Is ExtJS 6.x good?

Just looking for some opinions here. I start in early April!
