I'm Jelaxsi , an undergrad at South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) 🇱🇰. I'm finally joining DEV, mostly because I'm tired of building things and never writing about them.</p> <h2> What I'm into </h2> <p>I like building stuff that solves real problems, especially around AI and IoT. A few things I've worked on:</p> <ul> <li> <strong>AgriMind AI</strong>: a voice-first farming companion for farmers who'd rather talk than type.</li> <li> <strong>SAFE-HIRE</strong>: an AI platform that flags fake job offers, built for South Asian job-seekers who keep getting scammed.</li> <li> <strong>FarmGuard</strong>: an ESP32-based farm decision and waste detection system for a hardware competition.</li> </ul> <h2> Community side </h2> <p>I'm the Director of Media &amp; Community Outreach at the AWS Student Builder Group at SEUSL, and I've been my batch's academic rep for almost two years. I help run events and workshops to get more students building and entering competitions.</p> <h2> Why I'm here </h2> <ul> <li>To learn in public and share what actually worked (and what broke).</li> <li>To join challenges like Hacktoberfest and ship real projects.</li> <li>To meet other student builders and get feedback on my work.</li> </ul> <h2> What you'll see from me </h2> <p>Project breakdowns, build logs, and honest lessons from hackathons and workshops.
