&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;code&gt;String.charAt(index)&lt;/code&gt; method takes a parameter &lt;code&gt;index&lt;/code&gt; (the position in the string) and returns the character at that index in the string.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If no index is provided, the default value is 0 (the first character).&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Syntax:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;code&gt;String.slice(indexStart, indexEnd)&lt;/code&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;code&gt;indexStart&lt;/code&gt; is the position from where the slice starts.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If a negative index is given, &lt;code&gt;slice()&lt;/code&gt; starts counting from the end of the string (e.g., -1 is the last character).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;code&gt;indexEnd&lt;/code&gt; is the position where the slicing stops (this position is excluded).&lt;/li&gt;
