To every solo developer out there.

The further I go down this path, the more I feel the weight of loneliness.
There are no teammates to bounce ideas off, no one to give you reassurance. Day in and day out, you draft concepts, write code and run endless debugging sessions, yet a question always hangs over you: will anyone ever actually use this?

A handful of kind comments can brighten up my whole day. Most of the time, though, I get stuck in cycles of self‑doubt. One moment I feel hopeful about what lies ahead; the next I start second‑guessing everything, wondering whether all those late‑night hours are nothing but self‑indulgence.

You finally finish building your project and launch it, only to face a long stretch of silence.
You share your work with caution, yet it mostly sinks into oblivion. Barely any traffic, barely any feedback. That sense of uncertainty when no one seems to notice your work slowly wears away your original passion.

https://max-h3.com/ and https://ai-song.net/ are two websites I built through countless days of inner struggle.
No team, no external resources. Every idea and every single line of code was figured out by myself. For a long time after launch, hardly anyone knew these projects even existed.

I have come to realize that coding is never the hardest part of independent development.
The real challenge lies in those long, quiet days with no responses — picking yourself up after waves of self‑doubt and sitting back down at your desk to keep going.

AI Song – Turn text and lyrics into songs

I’m sharing ai-song.net, an experiment in AI music generation.

There isn’t a big founding story behind it. I wanted to try building something in this space and see what people would make with it.
You can start with a description or your own lyrics and turn them into a song. One idea to explore is how the same words feel in different musical styles, or what an everyday thought sounds like when it becomes music.

I’m still figuring out where to take the project. I’d be interested to hear what you try and where the results fall short. What would you want more control over when turning an idea into a song?
GPT-6 Astra First Test: OpenAI Is Back – But Is Your Creativity Ready to Take Off?

The tech world has been flooded with GPT-6 Astra coverage over the past couple of days. I put the so-called "smartest model in the world" through a deep test – and the verdict is clear: OpenAI has finally found its footing again. In terms of overall capability, it now matches and in some areas even surpasses Claude Fable 5.

The Most Obvious Upgrade: Speed
The most straightforward yet impactful improvement with GPT-6 Astra is speed.

On the previous GPT-5.6 Sol, a comprehensive system review could easily take one to two hours – infuriatingly slow. With Astra, the same task finishes in about 10 minutes, and it doesn't cut corners. The code structure is cleaner, and every risk point comes with clear identification and reasoning.

When speed increases, your workflow shifts from "single-point experimentation" to "batch iteration." You can now throw multiple approaches at the AI to validate in parallel – if one fails, you move to the next without wasting time.

3D & Frontend: One-Prompt Results You Won't Believe
The most viral capability of Astra is probably 3D modeling.

People have used it to generate fully detailed 3D trains, disassemble a camera into 122 components, or even break down a Tesla into 334 individual parts. One developer had it build a 3D procedural city generator – 18 minutes later, it delivered real-time renders of five Chinese city styles: the layered overpasses of Chongqing, the wall-enclosed layout of Xi'an, and the canal-lined streets of Jiangnan. Each style wasn't just a palette swap – building morphology, terrain, and labeled landmarks were all spot-on.

Think I'm exaggerating? Go search for the demo videos.

Even crazier: give it a single reference image, and it reconstructs an interactive 3D scene – materials, lighting, animations, all fully realized. 3D modeling used to be the barrier to entering the digital world. Now it might become how AI understands and generates reality itself.

Code Capability: Finally Fable-Level
In terms of coding depth, GPT-6 Astra finally stops patching surface-level issues. I ran it through an old repo I'd maintained for years – it uncovered a batch of performance problems that had never been reported before. Not critical on their own, but stacked together, they were enough to drag down the service.

On the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark, Astra scored 74.1%, beating Claude Fable 5.1's 67.4% and Gemini 3.8 Flash's 73.7%. On security benchmarks, the gap is even bigger: ExploitBench hit 100% (Sol only managed 78.5%), and SRE-Bench binary reverse engineering scored 99.2% (Sol was at 68.7%).

In plain English: faster coding, sharper vulnerability hunting, and more reliable complex task handling.

The Key Difference: No Nonsense Usage Caps
One thing OpenAI deserves credit for this time – no "Fable 5 only uses 50% of your credits" nonsense. 100% usage, all the time.

You don't have to second-guess whether a complex task will eat half your quota. That kind of reliability matters more than any fluctuating benchmark score.

So What Does This Mean For You?
No matter how powerful GPT-6 Astra is, it's still just a tool. What really determines the quality of AI video creation is never how strong the model is – it's whether your creative vision can actually come to life without friction.

If you're making AI short films, social media content, e-commerce demos, pet skits, or product showcases, you don't need to deal with local deployment, API configurations, or a pile of technical parameters. You need a place with a low barrier to entry – something you can open and use immediately.

That's exactly why I built max-h3.com.
https://max-h3.com

max-h3.com is a streamlined web interface for AI video generation. It sits on top of powerful open-source video models and gives you a clean, no-hassle way to create content.

Here's what you get:

Text-to-Video: type a scene description, hit generate, get a video

Image-to-Video: upload 1–3 reference images, and the AI animates them into a coherent clip

Up to 15 seconds at 2K resolution: supports 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 3:4, and other common aspect ratios

Background generation: submit your task and close the page – it keeps running and notifies you when it's done

No technical setup: zero Python, zero CUDA, zero terminal commands

The homepage is literally a single form. Upload images, write a prompt, click generate. That's it. Three steps from idea to video.

I built it because I was tired of seeing amazing open-source models locked behind GitHub repos and command-line hurdles. Most creators don't want to wrestle with environment variables – they want to make things.
