The problem with having a hacker mindset is believing anything is possible with Kiro… even after all the warnings.

When AmazonDeveloper, the Vega OS documentation, Vega Studio, and even @mosesroth all say that Vega OS development is designed for Linux/macOS… my first thought was:

> Challenge accepted.

Sprint 1 Foundation of Vid30(Build in Public)

What I managed to do:

Fork the Amazon React Native Multi-TV starter
Set up Kiro as my AI-first IDE
Build a complete Ubuntu EC2 development environment on AWS
Learn Vega OS, React Native TV and the Vega SDK from scratch

What I also collected:

Git issues
Yarn issues
Metro issues
Linux file watcher limits
Manifest & SDK compatibility issues
A few hours wondering if I had finally broken the impossible 😅

The biggest lesson wasn’t technical.

After overcoming the barrier to entry, solving problem after problem with Kiro, and getting **99% **of the way there… I had to remember that great founders don’t always solve the last 1% immediately—they know when to pivot and keep shipping.

That’s exactly why I’m building Vid30, the first AI Streaming Operating System for Smart TVs.

One ask to the Fire TV / Vega community :

I’m looking for help solving that final 1% of the Vega simulator workflow.

And if someone at Amazon happens to read this… I’d love a Fire TV Stick to test Vid30 on real hardware.
