Hello everyone!

I was an experienced Software Developer, but in 2025, I made a decision that many people around me considered crazy — I quit coding.

Not because I couldn't do it.
Not because I was bad at it.
But simply because I wasn't enjoying it anymore.

I wanted to explore life beyond the field I had known for years.

So, I tried almost everything.

I started YouTube.

I started my own company.

I had done marketing and management freelancing work.

I even did modelling shoots ( which I really enjoy ).

For the first time, I stepped completely outside my comfort zone and allowed myself to experience different things.

And honestly?

It was exciting.
It was scary.
It was sometimes incredibly fun.
And sometimes, it was heartbreaking.

Out of everything I tried, I genuinely loved modelling. There was something about it that made me happy. But I also realized that the income was not consistent enough for the future I wanted.

And slowly, reality started catching up.

I had more than a year of career gap. I didn't earn or grow as much as I had hoped. I faced visa rejections, health problems, and periods where I became genuinely depressed because of the choices I had made.

My family told me that quitting my career was a dumb decision.

Maybe, from their perspective, it was.

But looking back, I don't regret it.

Because even though that period was messy, I did something I had always been afraid to do — I tried.

I tried the things I wanted to try.

For a long time, I used excuses to avoid making difficult decisions.

This time, I decided to stop doing that.

After almost 1.5 years of exploring, failing, learning, getting lost, and finding myself again, I'm finally coming back to IT.

But I'm not coming back as the same person.

This time, I want to become a Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer.

Not because AI/ML is trending.

Not because everyone is talking about it.

And definitely not because it sounds cool.

I'm choosing this path because I realized something about myself.

I miss solving difficult problems.

I miss mathematics.

Mathematics has been my favorite subject since childhood, and I want a career where I love to work and don't complain : "Ohh my working hours are completed !! Why I am still working ?? "

I've also become tired of doing the same Full Stack Development work over and over again. With today's AI tools, many of those tasks can be completed with significantly less effort, and honestly, I don't get the same satisfaction from them anymore.

I want to work on problems where I have to think.

Where I have to experiment.

Where I might fail multiple times before finding an answer.

Where the solution isn't just one Google search away.

That's why I've decided to pursue a Master's degree and move toward Data Science and AI/ML.

I know I can learn technologies relatively quickly because of my previous experience.

But research is different.

Research requires patience. Curiosity. Mathematics. Experiments. Failure. And sometimes months of effort without knowing whether you'll even get the result you want.

And strangely enough, that's exactly what I want.

My journey so far hasn't been perfect.

I lost time.

I made mistakes.

I disappointed people.

I struggled.

I got rejected.

I became depressed.

But I also discovered things about myself that I probably never would have discovered if I had stayed on the same path.

Maybe my journey wasn't a straight line.

Maybe it was never supposed to be.

And now, after all the confusion, failures, experiments, and lessons, I'm ready to start again.

This isn't a comeback because I failed.

It's a comeback because I finally understand what I want.

Here's to a new chapter. 🥂

To learning again.
To failing again.
To building again.
To researching.
To mathematics.
To AI.
And hopefully, to becoming the person I've been trying to become for a long time.

If you read this until the end, thank you.

And if you can, cheer for me.

Because this time, I'm starting again — but I'm starting with purpose.
