🚀 First of all, I genuinely appreciate the effort behind building an independent social platform. Building a social network is incredibly difficult, and it's exciting to see new platforms trying to create their own space.

After actively using Snivogram for some time, I'd like to share a few observations that could help improve the platform's future.

The biggest challenge isn't monetization.

It's content discovery and user retention.

When a new user joins, they naturally expect to discover interesting creators, engaging conversations, and active communities. However, the current experience often feels quite limited.

What I've noticed:

• Profile and post reach is very low.
• Content discovery outside existing connections is difficult.
• Growth depends heavily on manual networking, friend requests, and direct messages.
• Many new users seem to create an account, explore briefly, and then become inactive.
• The platform still lacks the strong network effect that keeps users returning daily.

Why this matters

A social platform becomes valuable when users quickly find content worth coming back for.

Discovery → Engagement → Retention → Community Growth

Without strong discovery, even talented creators and quality content struggle to reach people.

Areas that could make a huge difference

✅ Better feed recommendations

✅ Creator discovery systems

✅ Improved onboarding experience

✅ More personalized content suggestions

✅ Stronger anti-spam and growth protection mechanisms

The opportunity

The exciting part is that these are all solvable problems. Every successful social platform had to overcome this stage.

Snivogram is still early, which means there is a unique opportunity to shape a healthier and more engaging community before the platform scales.
