It started with a simple frustration.

I needed to convert a PNG to WebP. Searched online. Found a tool. Dragged the file in. It uploaded instantly — before I even clicked anything.

I immediately wondered: where did that just go? I always scared to upload my picture and document.

So I built FileFlux. I started it as side project to convert files on my pc locally then build it fully.

**FileFlux **is a browser-based image converter and compressor. It handles JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF, SVG and PDF — and does all of it inside your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded. Nothing is ever stored.

It's completely free, requires no account, and works offline once the page has loaded.

Would love feedback from the Dev.to community. What formats or features would make this more useful for your workflow?

Try it: https://fileflux.io/
