Remember making mixtapes?

Picking the right songs in the right order. Writing a little note on the J-card. Handing it to someone and hoping it meant something.
I wanted that feeling again — but online.
So I built Hearfromyou.
It’s a simple archive of digital cassette tapes left by people around the world. You can:

Listen to tapes others have made
Create your own: choose multiple tracks, give the tape a title, and write a short message
Leave it in the archive for strangers (or the person you made it for) to find

It’s inspired by anonymous message boards, but softer and more personal. Less shouty internet, more “I made this for you / for whoever needs it.”
Why Cassette Tapes?
Because mixtapes were never just about the music. They were keepsakes. Little time capsules of how someone felt at a particular moment.
Digital playlists are convenient, but they’re also disposable. A cassette (even a digital one) still feels like an object you made on purpose.
