Beyond Syntax: What are Agentic Code Runners actually replacing in 2026?

We all know AI can write a React component or a Python script now—that's old news. But with the rise of Agentic AI (tools that can actually execute, debug, and iterate in a terminal), the goalposts have shifted.

I’m curious to hear from senior devs and AI engineers: What "non-coding" parts of our job are going to disappear next?

Is it:

Infrastructure as Code? (Will we ever write another Terraform file?)

The QA Role? (Are manual E2E tests officially dead?)

System Design? (Can agents now optimize architecture better than a human with a whiteboard?)

What’s the one thing you did 2 years ago that an Agentic runner has completely taken off your plate today?
