Architecting an Executive Developer Portfolio & Admin CMS with Laravel 11, Vue 3, and Inertia.js

When building a personal portfolio as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, a standard static template doesn't adequately convey complex systems engineering, real-time concurrency, or operational rigor.

To showcase genuine production craftsmanship, I built and open-sourced an end-to-end Developer Portfolio & Content Management System (CMS) powered by Laravel 11, Vue 3, and Inertia.js.

Here is an architectural breakdown of how it's built and why I chose this stack.

🏛️ The Architecture: Inertia.js Monolith

Instead of building a decoupled client SPA with duplicate API routing and client-side authentication tokens, I adopted the Inertia.js modern monolith:

Laravel 11 Backend: Handles robust session authentication, database transactions, Form Request validation, and thin controller delegates.
Vue 3 Frontend: Delivers single-page application fluidity with reactive state management using Pinia.
Zero API Boilerplate: Inertia automatically serializes server-side props directly into Vue view components.

✨ Key Features & Engineering Challenges Solved

1. 📱 In-App Mobile Resume Experience

Standard mobile browsers, such as Android Chrome, can block inline PDF rendering inside <iframe> subframes.

To solve this, I engineered a device-adaptive resume viewer that detects mobile viewports and launches a native fullscreen reader with instant download fallbacks.

2. 🧠 Deep Technical Publications

Instead of generic tutorials, the portfolio includes engineering case studies covering real-world technical challenges, including:

WebSocket dispatching & low-latency ESC/POS thermal printing
Achieving 100/100 Google Lighthouse scores on large automotive catalogs
Handling fractional-unit pharmaceutical logistics in clinical systems
