For a complex composition like this, the prompt needs to clearly explain each character’s position, actions, and role in the scene. In this case, we could give the mage a more precise position and action to make the intended interaction easier for the model to understand. Overall, Tsubaki.3 was able to turn most of our prompt descriptions into a cohesive anime scene. If you have a clear vision and are willing to spend time describing it, you can push your results even further. I didn’t use any LoRA or recipes for this test and relied entirely on the prompt, with the prompt helper disabled.

Testing Tsubaki.3 with More Complex Instructions

There’s more we can test beyond the fantasy battle scene. This time, let’s see how Tsubaki.3 handles prompts that combine multiple detailed requirements. We’ll stay with the dark fantasy theme and push the character designs further, creating more intricate figures that go beyond standard anime anatomy.

For this test, I added a LoRA and used a more detailed prompt.

Let’s see how well Tsubaki.3 follows the prompt.

Tsubaki.3 picked up most of the instructions from the prompt. The camera angle, composition, characters, and environment all appeared as intended. It also followed the lighting and included the extra details we described, such as feathers, shiny stars, and magical elements.

However, it missed one important detail: our main character was supposed to have her head turned backward. I think this happened because the head position and the “fearful expression” may have conflicted with each other.

I described her head as being “dramatically turned over her shoulder” and then added a specific facial expression. With her head positioned that way, showing a clear “fearful expression” can be difficult, which may have made these instructions harder for Tsubaki.3 to interpret.

Taking the Same Character into New Scenes with Tsubaki.3

Tsubaki.3 can handle complex prompts, but what happens when we take the same character and place her in a completely different scene? Let’s see if our OC can still remain recognizable.

For this test, we’ll use the first image we generated earlier and create two new variations. With Tsubaki.3, we’ll experiment with her outfit, environment, pose, and overall composition.

Variation 1

Keeping the same character doesn’t mean we have to reuse the entire OC base prompt whenever we want to try a new pose, setting, or accessory. We can simply provide the original image as a reference instead. Tsubaki.3 offers different ways to keep a character consistent using Tsubaki.3, and here, we’ll be using smart reference.

For our first variation, I wanted to give the OC a new environment and introduce some extra details. I pictured her preparing potions in an ancient alchemy room with a witch hat as an accessory. I uploaded the first image, added a short prompt explaining what I wanted to change, and clicked generate.

The result matched the concept I had in mind. Even with the new action and environment, the character still looked consistent with the original. Tsubaki.3 also preserved smaller visual details, including the violet streaks underneath her black hair, along with her dress and necklace.

Variation 2

Now let’s try the second variation. This time, I wanted to put our OC in the middle of an action scene and show off her abilities. I added glowing magic circles around her and changed her pose to make it look like she was preparing to fight an opponent.

I followed the same process as the first variation. I used Tsubaki.3 again and kept the initial image as a reference so her core character details would remain consistent.

Tsubaki.3 was able to create the scene I had envisioned. It picked up the glowing magic circles and changed the dress into a shorter version, while still maintaining the character’s main appearance.

For creators working with the same OC, this makes it easier to experiment with new ideas and scenes without starting over each time or ending up with generations that look completely unrelated to the original character.

What if we could take one of our original Tsubaki.3 generations and develop it into something completely new? Let’s use the flying witch chase scene we created earlier and turn it into two different variations.

We’ll continue testing what Tsubaki.3 can do, but this time, we’re moving the workflow into PixAI Studio.

Variation 1

This time, I wanted to take the original scene in a completely different direction. The mage chase will now happen in a forest, with changes to the character’s expression, clothing, and lighting while keeping the core chase concept.

To build the variation, I added an image node for the original image and connected it to another image node. I continued using Tsubaki.3 and added the LoRA from the first generation.

From there, I modified several parts of the initial prompt so the instructions would fit the new variation.

We successfully created another variation with Tsubaki.3. The character’s face remained consistent even after changing her hair, expression, and outfit, so she was still easy to recognize.

The dark fantasy theme also carried over well, despite changing both the environment and lighting.

Variation 2

With the image already generated, we can push the scene further by changing its main focus. Instead of showing our OC being chased, I wanted to highlight her magic while giving her a more mature and mysterious appearance. I removed the other mages and changed both her outfit and the background.

I followed the same setup from the first variation, continuing to use Tsubaki.3 and keeping the LoRA unchanged.

The character’s face and overall mood stayed consistent in this variation. Her hair was made lighter, while her outfit and witch broom were changed. Even with these adjustments, she still looked like a more mature version of our original OC, which fit the direction I wanted.

We’ve explored different characters while working with PixAI Studio, and for this tutorial, let’s get creative with a Punk Skater OC.

His look is built around a rebellious skate aesthetic. He has long black hair with subtle dark-red streaks, usually styled with loose, faded shirts or drop-armhole tanks and worn-looking pants. His piercings and skateboard add to his signature appearance, while charcoal black, faded grey, dark crimson, and off-white make up his core palette.

Let’s turn those details into an underground skate brand concept called “Midnight Skate Club”. We’ll carry the character’s signature style, colors, and visual details throughout the AI merchandise design to make the collection feel cohesive.

Since the template already includes a default prompt, we only need to edit it with descriptions that fit our concept.

I really like how the deep crimson works with the charcoal black, especially with the silver chain details. Those repeated elements also make the nail art feel like part of the same merch collection. I created another version using the same design with a different nail length as well.

For Miyu, I wanted the profile visuals to reflect her soft and dreamy idol style. I added pastel colors, sparkles, and small stars and charms to bring out the playful details of her design. Click the 8-panel visual profile and edit the prompt in the prompt box based on the look you want to create.

I removed some of the default descriptions and replaced them with details that better represent Miyu’s personality. The original blue background became a mix of soft pastel shades, helping establish a color palette that feels more connected to her character.

I also swapped the headphones for a sparkly microphone and added a star grid to make the profile feel more like a dreamy pop idol concept. You can even adjust your character’s pose and camera angle to change how the final visuals are presented. With the profile established, we can now move on to creating the album cover.

For Miyu, I mainly adjusted the color palette and pose while removing the promotional elements, including the CD, photocards, and merch. I also used PixAI Edit Pro with a 3:4 aspect ratio to create a suitable album cover format. Having the OC image and template prompt as our starting point makes it much easier to explore different directions by changing specific details instead of rebuilding everything.

Next, we’ll create the main promotional release poster. This time, we want to bring the CD and merch back into the composition as part of Miyu’s official album release.

For this, we’ll need a second Image Node. Click Add Node, choose Image, then connect the Album Cover node to it by dragging the (+) sign onto the new Image Node. I used PixAI Reference Pro to preserve the character details and visual direction established in the anime character album cover. This helps both visuals feel like part of the same release.

For the new Image Node, we’ll need a separate prompt. An easy way to build it is to reuse the promotional descriptions we removed from the original Album Cover prompt. Paste those details into the new prompt, then refine the wording and adjust any elements you want before generating.

I changed Miyu’s pose and camera angle so the release poster would have more variety instead of looking too similar to the album cover. I also placed the CD and merch descriptions across the lower half of the poster to create a more balanced composition. You can personalize the design further by adding an album title, changing the mood, adjusting the color palette, or exploring a different genre or concept.

Step 3 — Complete the Debut with “Come Closer” Merch

Let’s complete our OC’s debut visual package with a simple sticker sheet. We can use the visual direction we created earlier, including the profile visuals, album cover, and promotional assets, as the foundation for this final merch piece.

Now we can customize the sticker design. Click the default sticker sheet to reveal its prompt. You can replace the prompt entirely if you want a different direction, but for this tutorial, a few adjustments are enough. I used PixAI Edit Pro so the details added to the prompt could be reflected more accurately in the generated image.

I mainly updated the sticker descriptions, adding elements such as stars, a sparkly microphone, and a soft pastel background. Since some of these details were already picked up from our Album Cover reference, only a few changes were needed to achieve the look we wanted.

My favorite is the sticker featuring our OC with the text and microphone. It adds a playful touch while making the whole debut concept feel even more dreamy and pop-inspired.

Adding a lace grid helped reinforce her Victorian gothic look, while the deep black and crimson background completed the darker atmosphere.

When I first introduced Ravenna, her original design already had a gothic feel. However, after generating the profile visuals, I noticed that the lantern and the combination of crimson and white made her look more like a vampire than the gothic character I originally imagined. These differences can be difficult to notice until you actually see the generated result. Having four Image Node options makes it easier to experiment with different visual directions and choose the result that works best as the main image.

Using the Profile Visuals as the reference for the Starting Soon Screen also helped carry over the elements we had already customized. Although the two designs have different layouts and purposes, they still feel connected because they share the same character details and visual direction.

Between the two, I personally prefer the Starting Soon Screen. The Profile Visuals did a great job making Ravenna feel more gothic, but I liked the graphics and overall composition of the Starting Soon Screen more. It also made Ravenna feel more like an actual VTuber who is ready to appear on screen for her first stream.
