      <description>&lt;h2&gt;

  Introduction
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Every year on August 15, India commemorates its independence. The country was ruled by Britain for almost 200 years, eventually becoming independent and becoming an independent nation. August 15 has become a day of independence. It is also commemorated as a memorial to the freedom warriors who gave their lives to make the world a better place for us to live. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and courage by all the citizens of India because Independence&lt;br&gt;
Day means a lot to them and is very important.&lt;br&gt;
Here’s how it is celebrated in schools, colleges and across the country and why it is important for&lt;br&gt;
students and citizens of the country.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  Celebration of Independence Day in School/ Colleges
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As 15 August is a national holiday, Freedom Day celebrations are held yesterday in many schools and colleges across the country. Freedom Day celebrations in schools and colleges across the country include flag raising, speeches, debates and competitions, dances, repetition of poetry and various other cultural activities. Students are very excited about these activities and participate wholeheartedly in them. Students of the main league are also seen dressed as freedom fighters. These activities draw students closer to their roots and fill them with a sense of patriotism that is lacking in this generation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  Independence Day Celebration in Offices
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This day is also celebrated in the offices the day before independence day.&lt;br&gt;
In offices, employees are often asked to wear saffron, white or green clothing to match the theme of Freedom Day. People are seen wearing national costumes in the said colors and the whole&lt;br&gt;
atmosphere is lit. Flag-raising is done at most offices around the country, with special lunch arrangements being made to strengthen the bond between staff. Sometimes, people also come to give talks and some offices organize cultural events to add to the feeling. Also, read the conclusion of the Independence Day article.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  Independence Day Residence Celebration
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Residential welfare organizations in various residential areas are taking the initiative to celebrate Independence Day these days. People gathered in a nearby park in the early hours of the morning on Independence Day to celebrate the day with its true meaning.&lt;br&gt;
They dress according to the theme of Freedom Day and participate in various activities organized during the program, Raising the flag is done at the beginning of the ceremony.&lt;br&gt;
After the flag was hoisted, the people stood in awe and paid homage to the national anthem.&lt;br&gt;
Patriotic songs are fully played during the celebrations and people seem to be immersed in the spirit of nationalism. During these events, dance competitions and poetry competitions are organized.&lt;br&gt;
Luxury dress competitions are also held, where children are considered to be freedom fighters such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Bhagat Singh, etc. These competitions are often followed by lunch. People stay together and enjoy a meal during these events, this is a great time to collaborate with the neighbors.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In many parts of our country, kite flying is practiced as a custom on Independence Day. Colorful kites flying freely in the sky are considered a sign of independence. People go to their terrace or go to the nearby ground to enjoy the work of a flying kite. They invited their friends and relatives to join in the celebration. Flying kite competitions are also held at various venues and people participate with great enthusiasm.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  History of Independence Day
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The story of India’s liberation is very long, with various freedom fighters fighting for their courage and tolerance. Meanwhile, European traders were increasingly seeking to settle in India and establish themselves on the Indian subcontinent. At the same time, in the Battle of Plessy in 1757 and the Battle of Buxar in 1764, India faced foreign forces, but India could not prove its strength and was defeated in these wars. Thereafter, the East India Company began to spread its influence in India and by the end of the 18th century, the British had established their monarchy in many parts of India.&lt;br&gt;
At the same time, the company harassed Indian society by enacting a number of stricter laws in&lt;br&gt;
India, as well as many oppressive policies that applied to the people. Because the Indians opposed the foreign emperor and created hatred for them. At the same time, it was because of these British oppressive policies that the 1857 uprising began from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh on May 10, 1857.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At the same time, the war of 1857 is considered India’s first liberation war. Also, read the conclusion of the Independence Day article. Major rebels such as Mangal Pandey, Tatya Tope, Rani Laxmi Bai, Nana Saheb, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Rani Avanti Bai and Babu Kunwar have played their key role in this war. At the same time, our country could not stand on its own two feet in this war, but this transformation had a profound effect on all Indians and aroused a desire for freedom within the Indians.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In line with this, after the war of 1857, the British rulers recognized the power of the Indians and&lt;br&gt;
after this, the cruel and oppressive policies of the British East India Company began to weaken.&lt;br&gt;
After the Revolt of 1857, the Indian state was taken over by the British East India Company in 1858 and handed over to the British Crown which is the British Monarchy.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At the end of the war of 1857, the liberation struggle spread to India and after that, the British felt that they could not rule India for long. At the same time, it rebelled after the civil war from 1885 to 1905, led by many major Indian revolutionaries, including India’s great freedom fighters Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Madan Mohan Malviya and Dadabhai Naoroji. All the reforms that led to this war were ideological and political, which fought for freedom peacefully.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;By the 19th century, however, the atrocities perpetrated by the British on the Indian subcontinent had intensified. Because at the end of the 19th century Lala Lajpat Rai, Bipin Chandra Pal took many steps against the British and provoked the anger in the minds of the Indians against the British. Everyone united in seeking independence in India.&lt;br&gt;
At the same time, as a result of the efforts of these freedom fighters, the British became afraid of&lt;br&gt;
the Indians.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In the 19th century, several movements including the Non-Cooperation Movement, Civil&lt;br&gt;
Disobedience Movement and the Quit India Movement, Mahatma Gandhi’s Nonviolent Movement shook the foundations of the British and Indian empires. The road to freedom was easy, and he left no choice but to leave India and the British. Meanwhile, in 1885, the Indian National Congress Party was formed. In 1929, the Indian National Congress demanded complete independence.&lt;br&gt;
After that, freedom fighters, politicians and the Indian people united and strengthened their British rebellion against independence. As a result, the British Parliament ordered Lord Mount batten to rule in India until 30 June 1948, weakening the British Empire in India, but only then did the British see the flames and their level of intolerance within India. Lord Mountbatten decided to leave India in August 1947 before waiting for the deadline. The British, who had persecuted the Indians for so many years, sacrificed their lives in the face of the courage, courage and unity of the Indians. So on August 15, 1947, India became an independent nation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  Conclusion
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;August 15 is a day to celebrate freedom, and to remember the great souls who stood up for their&lt;br&gt;
rights and fought no matter what their lives were.&lt;br&gt;
This day is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>External JavaScript</title>
      <dc:creator>Kavya-RGB</dc:creator>
      <pubDate>Sun, 14 Aug 2022 06:59:07 +0000</pubDate>
      <link>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/external-javascript-53ad</link>
      <guid>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/external-javascript-53ad</guid>
      <description>&lt;h1&gt;

  External JavaScript file
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We can create external JavaScript file and embed it in many html page.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It provides code re usability because single JavaScript file can be used in several html pages.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;An external JavaScript file must be saved by .js extension. It is recommended to embed all JavaScript files into a single file. It increases the speed of the webpage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let's create an external JavaScript file that prints 'Hello JavaScript' in a alert dialog box.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  message.js
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;function msg(){
 alert("Hello JavaScript");
}
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let's include the JavaScript file into html page. It calls the JavaScript function on button click.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  index.html
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;html&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;script type="text/javascript" src="message.js"&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;body&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Welcome to JavaScript&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;form&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;input type="button" value="click" onclick="msg()"/&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/form&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/body&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/html&amp;gt;
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  Advantages of External JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There will be following benefits if a user creates an external JavaScript:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It helps in the reusability of code in more than one HTML file.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It allows easy code readability.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It is time-efficient as web browsers cache the external js files, which further reduces the page loading time.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It enables both web designers and coders to work with html and js files parallelly and separately, i.e., without facing any code conflictions.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The length of the code reduces as only we need to specify the location of the Js file.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  Disadvantages Of Using External JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are the following disadvantages of external files:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The stealer may download the coder's code using the url of the js file.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If two js files are dependent on one another, then a failure in one file may affect the execution of the other dependent file.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The web browser needs to make an additional http request to get the js code.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A tiny to a large change in the js code may cause unexpected results in all its dependent files.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;We need to check each file that depends on the commonly created external javascript file.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If it is a few lines of code, then better to implement the internal javascript code.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;*&lt;em&gt;## &lt;a href="https://github.com/kavya-rgb/JavaScript-Learning"&gt;Source Code&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;

      <title>JavaScript Example</title>
      <dc:creator>Kavya-RGB</dc:creator>
      <pubDate>Sat, 13 Aug 2022 08:28:00 +0000</pubDate>
      <link>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/javascript-example-185e</link>
      <guid>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/javascript-example-185e</guid>
      <description>&lt;h1&gt;

  JavaScript Example
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Javascript example is easy to code. JavaScript provides 3 places to put the JavaScript code: within body tag, within head tag and external JavaScript file.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let’s create the first JavaScript example.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;
&amp;lt;script type="text/javascript"&amp;gt;
document.write("JavaScript is a simple language for Educatque learners");
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;

&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The script tag specifies that we are using JavaScript.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The text/javascript is the content type that provides information to the browser about the data.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The document.write() function is used to display dynamic content through JavaScript. We will learn about document object in detail later.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  3 Places to put JavaScript code
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Between the body tag of html&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Between the head tag of html&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;In .js file (external javaScript)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  JavaScript Code Between Any Body Tag
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In the above example, we have displayed the dynamic content using JavaScript. Let’s see the simple example of JavaScript that displays alert dialog box.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;script type="text/javascript"&amp;gt;
 alert("Hello Javatpoint");
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  JavaScript Code Between The Head Tag
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let’s see the same example of displaying alert dialog box of JavaScript that is contained inside the head tag.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In this example, we are creating a function msg(). To create function in JavaScript, you need to write function with function_name as given below.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To call function, you need to work on event. Here we are using onclick event to call msg() function.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;html&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;script type="text/javascript"&amp;gt;
function msg(){
 alert("Hello Javatpoint");
}
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;body&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Welcome to JavaScript&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;form&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;input type="button" value="click" onclick="msg()"/&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/form&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/body&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/html&amp;gt;

&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

      <title>Introduction To JavaScript</title>
      <dc:creator>Kavya-RGB</dc:creator>
      <pubDate>Sat, 13 Aug 2022 08:10:00 +0000</pubDate>

      <guid>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/introduction-to-javascript-5f4</guid>
      <description>&lt;h1&gt;

  What Is JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;JavaScript(Js) is a prototype-based, multi-paradigm, single-threaded, dynamic language, supporting procedural, object-oriented, imperative, and declarative (e.g. functional programming) styles.&lt;br&gt;
It is an interpreted, full-fledged programming language that enables dynamic interactivity on websites when applied to an HTML document. It was introduced in the year 1995 for adding programs to the webpages in the Netscape Navigator browser. Since then, it has been adopted by all other graphical web browsers. With JavaScript, users can build modern web applications to interact directly without reloading the page every time. The traditional website uses js to provide several forms of interactivity and simplicity.&lt;br&gt;
Although, JavaScript has no connectivity with Java programming language. The name was suggested and provided in the times when Java was gaining popularity in the market. In addition to web browsers, databases such as CouchDB and MongoDB uses JavaScript as their scripting and query language.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  Features of JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are following features of JavaScript:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;All popular web browsers support JavaScript as they provide built-in execution environments.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;JavaScript follows the syntax and structure of the C programming language. Thus, it is a structured programming language.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;JavaScript is a weakly typed language, where certain types are implicitly cast (depending on the operation).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;JavaScript is an object-oriented programming language that uses prototypes rather than using classes for inheritance.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It is a light-weighted and interpreted language.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It is a case-sensitive language.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;JavaScript is supportable in several operating systems including, Windows, macOS, etc.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It provides good control to the users over the web browsers.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  History of JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In 1993, &lt;strong&gt;Mosaic&lt;/strong&gt;, the first popular web browser, came into existence. In the year &lt;strong&gt;1994&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;Netscape **was founded by **Marc Andreessen&lt;/strong&gt;. He realized that the web needed to become more dynamic. Thus, a 'glue language' was believed to be provided to HTML to make web designing easy for designers and part-time programmers. Consequently, in 1995, the company recruited &lt;strong&gt;Brendan Eich&lt;/strong&gt; intending to implement and embed Scheme programming language to the browser. But, before Brendan could start, the company merged with &lt;strong&gt;Sun Microsystems&lt;/strong&gt; for adding Java into its Navigator so that it could compete with Microsoft over the web technologies and platforms. Now, two languages were there: Java and the scripting language. Further, Netscape decided to give a similar name to the scripting language as Java's. It led to 'Javascript'. Finally, in May 1995, Marc Andreessen coined the first code of Javascript named '&lt;strong&gt;Mocha&lt;/strong&gt;'. Later, the marketing team replaced the name with '&lt;strong&gt;LiveScript&lt;/strong&gt;'. But, due to trademark reasons and certain other reasons, in December 1995, the language was finally renamed to '&lt;strong&gt;JavaScript&lt;/strong&gt;'. From then, JavaScript came into existence.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;

  Application of JavaScript
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;JavaScript is used to create interactive websites. It is mainly used for:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Client-side validation,&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Dynamic drop-down menus,&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Displaying date and time,&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Displaying pop-up windows and dialog boxes (like an alert dialog box, confirm dialog box and prompt dialog box),&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Displaying clocks etc.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Source Code :- &lt;a href="https://github.com/kavya-rgb/JavaScript-Learning"&gt;https://github.com/kavya-rgb/JavaScript-Learning&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <guid>https://dev.to/kavyagreatrgb/html-tutorial-3593</guid>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  What is HTML?
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language&lt;br&gt;
HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages&lt;br&gt;
HTML describes the structure of a Web page&lt;br&gt;
HTML consists of a series of elements&lt;br&gt;
HTML elements tell the browser how to display the content&lt;br&gt;
HTML elements label pieces of content such as "this is a heading", "this is a paragraph", "this is a link", etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;

  A Simple HTML Document
&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;

  Example
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;div class="highlight js-code-highlight"&gt;
&lt;pre class="highlight plaintext"&gt;&lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;!DOCTYPE html&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;html&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;title&amp;gt;Page Title&amp;lt;/title&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/head&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;body&amp;gt;

&amp;lt;h1&amp;gt;My First Heading&amp;lt;/h1&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;My first paragraph.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;

&amp;lt;/body&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;/html&amp;gt;
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;

  Example Explained
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;!DOCTYPE html&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; declaration defines that this document is an HTML5 document&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;html&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element is the root element of an HTML page&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;head&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element contains meta information about the HTML page&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;title&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element specifies a title for the HTML page (which is shown in the browser's title bar or in the page's tab)&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;body&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element defines the document's body, and is a container for all the visible contents, such as headings, paragraphs, images, hyperlinks, tables, lists, etc.&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;h1&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element defines a large heading&lt;br&gt;
The &lt;code&gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&lt;/code&gt; element defines a paragraph&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;

  Web Browsers
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The purpose of a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) is to read HTML documents and display them correctly.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A browser does not display the HTML tags, but uses them to determine how to display the document:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;

  HTML Page Structure
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Below is a visualization of an HTML page structure:&lt;br&gt;
