Introducing Ambie V3

I created an app that plays background sounds to help people focus, study, or relax. This latest V3 release introduces a brand new Focus Timer inspired by Pomodoro. It's an interval timer that works with white noise to help you concentrate on your work. The new update uses Windows 11 styling, particularly using the new Mica material available on Windows 11. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

The app is free and open source. Download here: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/ambie-white-noise/9P07XNM5CHP0

🎉 Announcing Nightingale 4 -- a modern, resource-friendly REST Client for developers

Iterate, iterate, iterate. That's been my mantra when making apps. And in that spirit, I'm excited to share the latest iteration of this crazy experiment: Introducing Nightingale 4 — a high-performance, resource-friendly REST client for developers to send and receive HTTP requests. If you're a developer, I'd love to hear your feedback. Download here: https://nightingale.rest

The tool is built using C# and the powerful UWP framework.

🎉 Built a new app! Introducing Watchtower: the one dashboard to watch all your CI/CD pipelines from any account

Hello all!

For the past year, I've had to juggle numerous build and release pipelines across different accounts and organizations in Azure DevOps. Some accounts were work related, and others were for my personal projects. My biggest frustration is that the CI/CD pipelines were segregated between the different accounts. Of course, this makes sense because they're in different user accounts. But why can't I have one page that shows all the pipelines that I care about?

Thus, the idea for Watchtower CI/CD Dashboard was born! I created the app in 48 hours using C#, .NET, and XAML. Currently, there's only support for Azure Pipelines, but I plan to expand to other CI/CD tools. You can "watch" your build pipelines and release pipelines in the app, and the best part is you can trigger builds and deploy releases as well!

Give Watchtower a try if it sounds like it could be useful to you! Download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/p/watchtower-ci-cd-dashboard-preview/9pcg8j6nb477

Made something! It's called ImmersiveReaderView, a new control for UWP apps to make reading easier & more accessible to everyone

Immersive Reader is an awesome service from Microsoft that makes text easier to read. But since the service is only in preview, it's only available to websites. This control changes that. It allows modern Windows developers to integrate the Immersive Reader into their UWP applications with one line of XAML.

A PR is open to add this to the immersive reader SDK. Fingers crossed that it gets completed soon! https://github.com/microsoft/immersive-reader-sdk/pull/164

An app I built now has 10,000 acquisitions!!

In 2019, I released a new app called Nightingale, the RAM-friendly REST client for developers. It uses 50MB while other REST clients use 500MB. And today, I'm pleased to share that Nightingale surpassed 10,000 unique acquisitions!

Incredible milestone, and I'm humbled by everyone's feedback and support. Can't wait to see what milestones will be broken in 2020! 🎉

If you're a developer, check out Nightingale here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/nightingale-rest-api-client/9n2t6f9f5zdn

I made something! Introducing Nightingale, a fast and resource-efficient REST client

REST clients today can use upwards to 1000MB of memory. This leads to a poor experience for people who don't have access to high powered machines, such as junior indie developers who are just jumping in to the world of software development. So I built a REST client that uses ~60MB.

Introducing Nightingale, a fast and resource efficient REST client for Windows 10.

Let me know what you think! Looking forward to your feedback 🙏🏽
