If your mouse hand is already busy, Win+Ctrl+Arrow feels clunky. Desktop Switcher lets you move your mouse to the bottom edge and scroll to glide through Windows virtual desktops (silky).

Free trial on Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n2tj4vpnl9d

Features: Ctrl+scroll = mouse-based Alt-Tab style switcher, middle-click = Task View.

Switch Windows virtual desktops with the mouse wheel (+ Ctrl+scroll Alt-Tab, middle-click Task View)

Hi! I built Desktop Switcher to make Windows virtual desktops feel native on a mouse: move to the bottom edge and scroll to glide between desktops. Ctrl+scroll is a mouse-based Alt+Tab-style window switcher, and middle-click opens Task View. If you use multiple desktops daily, it helps you stay in flow.

Switch Windows virtual desktops with the mouse wheel (tiny free tool)

Virtual desktops are great… until you have to switch them. Task View or keyboard shortcuts work, but they’re not as natural as the mouse.

If you want a smoother workflow, there’s a tiny app called Desktop Switcher. Once installed, it lets you:

move your mouse to the bottom edge of the screen

scroll the mouse wheel

slide through Windows virtual desktops

It feels like a native gesture.

Where to get it: Microsoft Store → Desktop Switcher (free).

Microsoft Store link: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n2tj4vpnl9d?cid=devto
