LINUX.IN/SIDE

Coming Early 2026: linux.in/side — A New Portal for the Linux Community

Hi everyone 👋

I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on that will officially launch in early 2026.

It’s called linux.in/side
— a community-driven hub for everything Linux, powered by my startup GRYTTE
, “the educational network” we’re building for global workforce education.

Here’s the vision for linux.in/side:

News & updates: Kernel releases, new distros, and key developments across the Linux world.

Guides & tutorials: From beginner Linux basics to advanced sysadmin, DevOps, and SRE practices.

Certifications & learning paths: Linux Foundation, Red Hat, CompTIA, and more — curated roadmaps to help learners grow.

Job opportunities: A dedicated board for Linux-related roles (sysadmins, cloud engineers, DevOps, security).

Community contributions: A place to showcase projects, tools, and stories from Linux users everywhere.

Why This?

Linux is everywhere, but information and resources are scattered — blogs, forums, wikis, and certification sites all live in silos. Some are out of date, others distro-specific, and some locked behind paywalls. linux.in/side aims to pull these threads together into one central, open space, where the community shapes what matters most.

How You Can Help

Since dev.to is home to so many amazing developers, I’d love your input:

What would you want to see on a portal like this?

Which resources or communities do you feel are missing right now?

Would you be interested in contributing content, ideas, or even collaborating on the build?

This project is at the foundation stage, and my hope is to co-create it with the community before launch.

If you’re curious, check out grytte.com
— the startup powering linux.in/side — and drop a comment below if you’d like to get involved. 🚀

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to building this together.
