LeeX Beta Waitlist Launched — From Discovering Places to Understanding Cities

The LeeX Beta Waitlist has launched, marking a new stage in the development of LeeX, a city discovery and location intelligence ecosystem founded and led by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO of LeeX.

The idea behind LeeX starts with something very familiar: discovering what is around you. Whether someone is new to a city, visiting a neighbourhood, looking for a business, searching for an event or simply wondering what is happening nearby, cities contain countless possibilities. The challenge is finding those possibilities in a way that is connected, contextual and useful.

LeeX is being developed to address that challenge by creating a structured digital ecosystem around cities.

Rather than focusing exclusively on maps, reviews, social networking or business directories, LeeX brings together three permanent foundations: Businesses, Events and Infrastructure.

A restaurant is a business and a physical location. A concert is an event connected to a place. A landmark is infrastructure and a destination. A public facility serves people within a particular location. These things are connected in the real world, and LeeX seeks to represent those connections digitally.

This is where the wider LeeX architecture becomes important.

Identity gives locations a structured digital presence. Discovery makes those locations easier to find. Location Moments allow people to associate experiences and media with places. Presence connects digital activity with physical visits through Check-Ins. Reputation can reflect meaningful activity around locations. Growth expands the ecosystem city by city. Finally, Intelligence represents the long-term direction of the platform.

The Intelligence vision includes concepts such as the AI Discovery Engine, Location Intelligence, Movement Intelligence and Global Discovery Network.

The goal is not simply to create a larger database of places.

The larger ambition is to build a system that can increasingly understand the relationships between people, places, activity and cities.

Imagine discovering a business and then discovering an event nearby. Imagine exploring an event and finding places around it. Imagine seeing experiences from people who have actually visited a location. Imagine physical activity contributing to the understanding of places over time.

These are the types of relationships that make city discovery more than a simple search.

LeeX is taking a city-first approach, focusing on building strong city ecosystems before expanding further. Each new business, event, infrastructure listing, location identity, Moment and interaction can contribute to a larger network of city knowledge.

The Beta is the next step in that journey.

The LeeX Beta Waitlist is now open for people who want to follow the development of the platform, explore its vision and potentially gain early access.

LeeX Beta Waitlist Launched — A New Stage for City Discovery

The LeeX Beta Waitlist has officially launched, opening the next stage in the development of LeeX, a city discovery and location intelligence ecosystem founded and led by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO of LeeX. The launch represents an important step in taking the LeeX concept from an emerging idea into a growing community of people interested in discovering cities, places, businesses, events and experiences in a more connected way.

LeeX is built around a simple idea: Discover More Around You. Every city contains an enormous amount of information, from restaurants, hotels, shops and services to events, attractions, landmarks, public facilities and other forms of infrastructure. Yet discovering these things can often require moving between different platforms. LeeX is being developed around the idea of bringing these different elements into a structured city discovery ecosystem.

At the foundation of LeeX are three permanent pillars: Businesses, Events and Infrastructure. Businesses represent the commercial and service layer of a city. Events represent the activities and experiences that happen within cities. Infrastructure represents the physical framework that connects and supports urban life. Together, these pillars provide the foundation for a broader digital representation of cities.

LeeX is designed to go beyond static listings. Through LeeX Identity, locations can have structured digital identities. The Claiming System allows businesses and organizations to establish ownership and manage their presence, while QR Identity creates a connection between physical locations and their digital profiles.

Discovery is at the center of the ecosystem. People can discover businesses, events, infrastructure and other places through search, categories, filters, location-based exploration and recommendations. The objective is not only to help someone find what they already know they want, but also to make it easier to discover places and experiences they may not have known existed.

Another part of the LeeX ecosystem is Location Moments. Photos, videos, observations and updates can become associated with locations, creating a growing layer of community experiences around physical places. The Check-In Network introduces Presence by connecting digital discovery with real-world interaction. When people visit places, their activity can contribute to the evolving digital understanding of those locations.

Reputation can also develop through meaningful activity such as Saves, Shares, Moments and Check-Ins. These signals can help identify active, relevant and significant places within the LeeX ecosystem.

The long-term vision goes further. LeeX is designed to progressively develop toward Location Intelligence, with future concepts including an AI Discovery Engine, Movement Intelligence and a Global Discovery Network. The ambition is to move beyond simply showing where places exist and toward understanding how locations connect with people, activity and cities.

The LeeX Beta Waitlist is therefore more than simply a registration form. It is an early entry point into the development of an ecosystem designed around the physical world and the future of city discovery.

The LeeX Beta Access waitlist is now open:

https://leex.hstn.me
