When discussing the potential of a technology company, one of the most important questions is not simply, “How good is the product?”

Another important question is:

How large is the market opportunity?

For LeeX, this question becomes particularly interesting because the project is not being designed around only one category of information.

LeeX is a city-first discovery and location intelligence ecosystem built around three permanent pillars: Businesses, Events, and Infrastructure.

The long-term objective is to create a connected digital representation of cities where people can discover places, experience locations, interact with them, and eventually gain deeper intelligence about how places connect and how cities function.

That creates a potentially broad market opportunity.

But broad potential should not automatically be presented as a massive market number.

A serious market-sizing discussion should separate TAM, SAM, and SOM and explain what each number actually represents.

What Are TAM, SAM and SOM?

TAM means Total Addressable Market.

It represents the theoretical total revenue opportunity available if a company could serve the entire market relevant to its product.

SAM means Serviceable Addressable Market.

It narrows the opportunity to the portion of the market that the company can realistically serve based on its product, geography, customer segments, business model, distribution, and other constraints.

SOM means Serviceable Obtainable Market.

This represents the portion of the serviceable market that a company could realistically capture within a defined period given its resources, competition, distribution, product maturity, and execution capacity.

The important point is that TAM, SAM, and SOM are not three different ways of saying the same thing.

They answer three different questions:

TAM: How large could the entire opportunity become?

SAM: How much of that opportunity can our model actually serve?

SOM: How much can we realistically capture?

For LeeX, these distinctions are especially important because the vision is global, while the execution strategy is city-first.

TAM: The Bigger LeeX Opportunity

The TAM for LeeX should not simply be described as “everyone who uses the internet.”

That would be too broad.

Instead, the potential market should be connected to the economic activities and information systems that LeeX intends to participate in.

LeeX sits at the intersection of several areas:

City discovery

Local business discovery

Events discovery

Location-based information

Digital presence for physical locations

Local advertising and visibility

Tourism and destination discovery

Location intelligence

Urban information

AI-powered discovery

This creates a much broader potential market than a traditional business directory.

The basic idea is that almost every city contains businesses, events, infrastructure, attractions, institutions, public spaces, and other locations that people need to discover.

And every one of those locations potentially has information associated with it.

That information can create value for different groups.

Consumers want to discover places.

Businesses want visibility.

Event organizers want audiences.

Organizations want digital presence.

Visitors want local information.

Communities want better access to information.

Enterprises may eventually want location intelligence.

This is where the larger LeeX opportunity begins to emerge.

However, the exact global TAM should ultimately be calculated from a defined revenue model rather than simply assigning a large number to the entire location-technology industry.

A defensible approach would identify the number of potential paying organizations, the products they could purchase, expected annual revenue per customer, advertising or transaction opportunities, and other monetization channels.

The basic bottom-up equation is:

TAM = Total Potential Customers × Potential Annual Revenue per Customer

For a platform like LeeX, that calculation can eventually be performed separately for businesses, event organizers, infrastructure-related organizations, advertisers, enterprise customers, and other monetizable segments.

SAM: Where LeeX Can Actually Operate

SAM brings the discussion closer to reality.

LeeX does not need to launch simultaneously in every city and every country.

The LeeX Blueprint establishes a city-first expansion strategy, meaning the ecosystem can build depth and completeness within individual cities before expanding into additional locations.

That changes the way the market should be viewed.

Instead of saying:

“LeeX can serve the entire world.”

The more useful question is:

“Which cities, users, businesses, events, and organizations can LeeX realistically serve with its current product and operating model?”

That is the SAM.

For example, LeeX could initially focus on a defined group of Nigerian cities.

The next stage could expand into additional African markets.

Later, the model could extend to other regions.

This creates a progressively expanding serviceable market.

Nigeria itself already demonstrates the scale of the digital population that can potentially support digital discovery products. DataReportal reported 107 million internet users in Nigeria in January 2025, representing 45.4% internet penetration at that time.

That figure does not mean 107 million people automatically constitute LeeX’s SAM.

Instead, it provides context for the size of the connected population from which a digital discovery platform could potentially acquire users.

The actual SAM would need to narrow this population according to LeeX’s target users, supported cities, product availability, adoption, and monetization model.

The Business Side of SAM

LeeX has another important dimension.

The platform does not only have users.

It can also have locations and organizations.

Consider a city containing:

Restaurants.

Hotels.

Pharmacies.

Banks.

Schools.

Hospitals.

Shopping centers.

Entertainment venues.

Event organizers.

Tourist attractions.

Government facilities.

Transportation hubs.

Parks.

Landmarks.

Community spaces.

And thousands of other locations.

Each can potentially become part of the LeeX ecosystem.

This is important because the supply side of LeeX can become a market in itself.

A business could potentially use LeeX for digital presence, visibility, profile management, discovery, featured placement, event connections, analytics, or future intelligence products.

The exact pricing and monetization structure would need to be established and validated before turning these possibilities into financial projections.

SOM: The Market LeeX Can Actually Capture

SOM is where market sizing becomes much more practical.

A company does not capture a market simply because the market exists.

It needs users.

It needs supply.

It needs product-market fit.

It needs distribution.

It needs retention.

It needs monetization.

It needs infrastructure.

And it needs execution.

For LeeX, SOM should therefore be tied to the actual city-by-city expansion strategy.

Imagine LeeX begins by developing strong coverage in one city.

The objective would not simply be to claim that the city contains thousands of businesses.

The objective would be to actually onboard and organize meaningful numbers of those businesses, events, infrastructure locations, and users.

Once the model works, the same process can be repeated in another city.

Then another.

This creates a compounding expansion model.

City → City → Region → Country → Multiple Countries → Global Network

The advantage of this approach is that every successfully developed city can become another node in the wider LeeX network.

Why City Density Matters

One of the most important ideas behind the LeeX model is location density.

A discovery platform becomes more useful when users can find a meaningful amount of information around them.

Imagine opening LeeX in a city and finding only 100 locations.

The platform may have limited usefulness.

Now imagine finding thousands of businesses, hundreds of events, infrastructure information, attractions, community spaces, experiences, and other relevant locations.

The value of discovery can increase significantly.

This means LeeX’s early growth strategy should not necessarily be about being everywhere.

It can instead be about becoming increasingly useful within the cities where it operates.

This is consistent with the Blueprint’s city-first philosophy: strengthen individual cities before expanding the broader ecosystem.

TAM, SAM and SOM for LeeX Should Evolve

The market size of LeeX should not be treated as one permanent number.

As the company develops, the assumptions can become increasingly precise.

At the earliest stage, LeeX may have estimates.

As cities are launched, real data becomes available.

The company can then measure:

Number of listed businesses.

Number of claimed businesses.

Number of events.

Number of infrastructure locations.

Monthly active users.

Search activity.

Discovery activity.

Check-ins.

Moments.

Featured listings.

Advertising demand.

Business conversion rates.

Customer acquisition costs.

Revenue per business.

Retention.

And other important metrics.

These measurements can gradually replace assumptions.

That makes the market model stronger.

A Practical Bottom-Up LeeX Model

A future LeeX market model could be structured like this:

Business Market

Number of target businesses × annual LeeX revenue per business.

Events Market

Number of target event organizers × annual revenue opportunity per organizer.

Infrastructure Market

Number of organizations or infrastructure-related entities × annual revenue opportunity.

Advertising Market

Number of advertisers × average annual advertising spend through LeeX.

Enterprise / Intelligence Market

Number of potential enterprise customers × annual intelligence revenue.

The combined opportunity can then provide a more defensible picture of LeeX’s commercial market.

The important part is that every assumption should be visible.

Instead of saying:

“LeeX has a $100 billion market.”

A stronger analysis would say:

“We identified X potential customers, estimate Y annual revenue per customer, and therefore calculate Z annual market opportunity.”

That is much easier to test.

The Difference Between Vision and Forecast

There is also an important distinction between the vision of LeeX and its financial forecast.

The vision can be global.

The execution can begin locally.

The TAM can represent a broad long-term opportunity.

The SAM can represent the portion LeeX can serve.

The SOM can represent the portion the company expects to capture during a specific period.

These numbers should not be confused.

A global vision does not mean global revenue immediately.

A large TAM does not guarantee a large SOM.

And a large number of potential users does not automatically translate into revenue.

The strength of the LeeX opportunity will ultimately depend on whether the company can convert the underlying location network into sustainable user value and sustainable business value.

LeeX and the Location Intelligence Opportunity

The most interesting part of the LeeX market opportunity may ultimately extend beyond basic discovery.

Discovery creates the initial network.

Experience adds context.

Presence creates real-world activity signals.

Reputation adds relevance.

Growth expands the network.

Intelligence transforms accumulated information into deeper understanding.

This progression creates the possibility for LeeX to eventually operate across multiple layers of the location economy.

At the beginning, people may simply use LeeX to find places.

Over time, the ecosystem can accumulate structured information about locations, experiences, interactions, and activity.

That accumulated information can potentially support more sophisticated discovery and intelligence products.

The Blueprint describes this long-term direction as the evolution from a city discovery platform toward a location intelligence ecosystem.

The LeeX Market in One Framework

The simplest way to understand the opportunity is:

TAM — The entire potential market for LeeX’s category and monetization opportunities.

↓

SAM — The portion LeeX can serve based on its product, geography, business model, and target customers.

↓

SOM — The portion LeeX can realistically capture within a defined period based on execution capacity and market conditions.

The numbers should become more precise as LeeX develops.

At the beginning, assumptions create the model.

As the platform grows, real-world data improves the model.

Conclusion

LeeX is not simply attempting to build another directory.

The broader concept is to build a structured discovery layer for cities.

Businesses.

Events.

Infrastructure.

Experiences.

Activity.

Reputation.

And eventually intelligence.

That creates multiple potential customer groups and multiple possible monetization paths.

But the opportunity should be measured carefully.

TAM describes the ceiling.

SAM defines the reachable opportunity.

SOM represents the realistically obtainable market.

For LeeX, the journey from TAM to SAM to SOM mirrors the broader company strategy itself:

Global vision → focused cities → strong local ecosystems → repeatable expansion → connected location intelligence network.

The ultimate question is therefore not simply how large the LeeX market could be.

The more important question is how effectively LeeX can build useful city ecosystems, create real user value, establish sustainable monetization, and expand that model from one city to many.

That is where the real market opportunity will be determined.

📍 LeeX — Discover. Experience. Understand.

LeeX Beta, LeeX City Discovery, LeeX City Index, LeeX AI, Digital Cities, City Data, Oscar Awowari, Elvis Awowari

Every city has an identity.

It has neighbourhoods, businesses, institutions, events, infrastructure, landmarks, communities, attractions and millions of relationships between people and places.

Yet much of that information remains fragmented across different platforms, websites, social media pages, directories and disconnected databases.

This raises a bigger question:

What would happen if every city could have one structured digital identity?

That is one of the ideas behind the long-term LeeX vision.

LeeX Beta is being developed as a city discovery ecosystem built around the structured representation of locations and the relationships between them. Founded by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO, with Elvis Awowari as Chief Technology Officer, LeeX is positioned around businesses, events and infrastructure while looking toward a future involving location intelligence and AI-powered discovery.

The idea of a LeeX City Index takes that concept one step further.

Instead of treating a city as a simple geographic boundary, LeeX could eventually treat every city as a continuously developing digital entity.

⸻

What Is a LeeX City Index?

A LeeX City Index could be thought of as a structured digital representation of a city.

Instead of simply storing:

City = Port Harcourt

the system could understand:

Port Harcourt

→ Neighbourhoods

→ Businesses

→ Events

→ Infrastructure

→ Attractions

→ Accommodation

→ Institutions

→ Public spaces

→ Transport

→ Activity

→ Relationships

→ Discovery patterns

This creates a much richer digital identity.

The city becomes more than a name.

It becomes a structured information system.

⸻

Why Cities Need Digital Identities

Search engines know the names of cities.

Maps know where cities are.

Directories know some businesses inside cities.

Event platforms know some events.

Tourism websites know some attractions.

But information about a city is often distributed across many systems.

A person trying to understand a city may need to search several different platforms.

One platform may show hotels.

Another may show restaurants.

Another may show events.

Another may show attractions.

Another may contain government information.

Another may contain social activity.

The information exists.

The problem is that it is fragmented.

LeeX’s opportunity is to organize these different elements into a connected city discovery ecosystem.

⸻

From City Name to City Data

A conventional city database might contain:

City Name

Country

Population

Coordinates

Administrative region

That is useful.

But it is only the beginning.

A deeper LeeX city model could contain:

City Identity

Name

Country

Region

Geographic boundaries

Neighbourhoods

Coordinates

Business Layer

Restaurants

Hotels

Shops

Banks

Hospitals

Pharmacies

Schools

Entertainment venues

Event Layer

Concerts

Conferences

Festivals

Sporting activities

Community events

Educational programs

Infrastructure Layer

Roads

Bridges

Airports

Transport hubs

Parks

Government facilities

Stadiums

Landmarks

Experience Layer

Photos

Videos

Moments

Observations

Location updates

Activity Layer

Check-ins

Saves

Shares

Discovery activity

The result could become a living digital representation of the city.

⸻

The Three Foundations of a LeeX City

The LeeX ecosystem has three foundational pillars:

Businesses

Events

Infrastructure

These three categories are powerful because they describe different dimensions of city life.

Businesses describe the commercial layer.

Events describe the activity layer.

Infrastructure describes the physical and institutional layer.

Together they can create a much more complete city model.

A restaurant is a business.

A concert is an event.

The concert venue is infrastructure.

The neighbourhood contains all three.

The city connects them.

That relationship is the foundation of a city index.

⸻

A City Is a Network, Not a List

One of the most important differences between a basic directory and a city intelligence system is relationships.

Consider a hotel.

The hotel exists at a location.

Nearby are restaurants.

Nearby is a stadium.

The stadium hosts an event.

The event attracts visitors.

Those visitors may use nearby transportation.

They may visit attractions.

They may stay at hotels.

They may eat at restaurants.

This creates a chain:

Hotel → Restaurant → Event → Venue → Transport → Attraction → City

A City Index could eventually understand these relationships.

This is where the concept becomes much more powerful than a conventional directory.

⸻

LeeX City Discovery

The City Index would naturally support LeeX’s core function:

Discovery.

A user may not know exactly what they are looking for.

They may simply want to explore.

For example:

“What is interesting around me?”

Or:

“What can I discover in this part of Port Harcourt?”

Or:

“What events are happening near these hotels?”

Or:

“What restaurants are close to this attraction?”

This is discovery rather than simple search.

The city index provides the underlying structure that makes those questions possible.

⸻

The City Index and Neighbourhoods

A city is not one uniform area.

Cities contain neighbourhoods and districts with different characteristics.

A future LeeX City Index could therefore represent:

City

↓

District

↓

Neighbourhood

↓

Street / Area

↓

Location

This creates geographic depth.

A user could move from broad city discovery into increasingly specific local discovery.

For example:

Port Harcourt

→ GRA

→ Specific neighbourhood

→ Nearby businesses

→ Nearby events

→ Nearby infrastructure

The city becomes navigable through information rather than only through roads.

⸻

City Density

Another important component of the City Index is density.

A city with 500 listings provides limited discovery.

A city with 10,000 structured locations provides significantly more context.

A city with 50,000 or 100,000+ locations could potentially support much deeper discovery.

The objective is not simply to collect the largest number possible.

The objective is to achieve:

Relevant + accurate + structured + discoverable locations.

That distinction is important.

A database filled with duplicates or poor information is not necessarily useful.

The strength of a city index comes from the quality and relationships of its data.

⸻

The LeeX City Score

A future City Index could potentially introduce a City Completeness Score.

For example, LeeX could evaluate a city’s coverage across:

Business coverage

Event coverage

Infrastructure coverage

Accommodation coverage

Tourism coverage

Neighbourhood coverage

Location accuracy

Data completeness

Activity

Discovery engagement

This does not have to become a public ranking immediately.

It could initially function as an internal measurement system.

The purpose would be simple:

How completely has LeeX represented this city?

⸻

Measuring City Coverage

Imagine two cities.

City A

10,000 businesses

1,000 events

2,000 infrastructure locations

500 tourism locations

City B

50,000 businesses

5,000 events

10,000 infrastructure locations

2,000 tourism locations

City B has greater data depth.

But LeeX could also calculate density relative to geographic size.

That matters because 10,000 locations in a small city may represent deeper coverage than 10,000 locations spread across a huge metropolitan area.

This creates a more sophisticated measurement:

Locations per square kilometre

combined with:

Category coverage

and:

Data quality

and:

User activity.

⸻

The City Index as a Living System

A city should not be treated as static.

Businesses open.

Businesses close.

Events are announced.

Events finish.

Roads change.

New infrastructure appears.

Hotels open.

Neighbourhoods develop.

New attractions become popular.

People discover places.

This means a City Index should eventually behave more like a living system than a static database.

LeeX can potentially update city information continuously through:

Business updates

Event updates

Location Moments

Check-ins

Community contributions

Profile management

Verification

Automated data processes

The broader LeeX Blueprint describes Moments and Check-Ins as mechanisms that add experience and real-world activity to location information.

⸻

City Identity and Location Identity

The City Index can also create a hierarchy of digital identities.

For example:

Global Identity

↓

Country

↓

Region

↓

City

↓

Neighbourhood

↓

Location

This means a business does not exist in isolation.

It belongs to a neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood belongs to a city.

The city belongs to a region.

The region belongs to a country.

Every location can therefore contribute to the digital identity of the larger place.

⸻

LeeX City Index and Tourism

Tourism is one area where this model becomes especially powerful.

A tourist does not experience a city through one category.

They experience:

Accommodation

Food

Attractions

Transportation

Events

Entertainment

Public spaces

Culture

A City Index can connect all of these.

Someone discovering a hotel could discover attractions nearby.

Someone discovering an attraction could discover restaurants.

Someone discovering an event could discover accommodation.

This creates a city-wide discovery network.

⸻

LeeX City Index and Businesses

Businesses also benefit from being part of a structured city ecosystem.

A restaurant is more valuable in context.

It can be connected to:

Nearby hotels

Nearby attractions

Nearby offices

Nearby events

Nearby transport

Nearby businesses

This gives users more useful discovery pathways.

It also creates opportunities for businesses to become more visible within the city ecosystem.

The business is no longer just a listing.

It becomes part of a larger geographic network.

⸻

LeeX City Index and Events

Events provide another dynamic layer.

A city may have thousands of locations that exist permanently.

Events introduce time.

For example:

Venue

→ Event

→ Date

→ Time

→ Location

→ Nearby businesses

→ Nearby accommodation

This creates a powerful combination:

Geography + Time + Discovery

LeeX’s technical discussions already explore the challenge of combining geographic search with time-dependent event information. (dev.to)

⸻

From LeeX Beta to LeeX AI

The City Index could eventually become one of the most important foundations for LeeX AI.

AI can answer questions much better when the underlying information is structured.

Imagine someone asking:

“I’m staying in Port Harcourt for three days. What should I discover?”

A future LeeX AI could potentially combine:

City

Location

Events

Businesses

Infrastructure

Preferences

Time

to produce relevant discovery.

Another user might ask:

“What restaurants are close to event venues in this part of the city?”

Again, the answer depends on relationships between locations.

The intelligence layer therefore depends heavily on the quality of the City Index underneath it.

⸻

The City Index Could Become LeeX’s Global Expansion Framework

One of the biggest advantages of creating a structured City Index is repeatability.

LeeX does not need to invent an entirely new architecture for every city.

It can develop a common city model.

For example:

City Template

City Identity

Neighbourhoods

Businesses

Events

Infrastructure

Tourism

Accommodation

Location Relationships

Activity

Discovery

Then the same framework can be applied to:

Port Harcourt

↓

Lagos

↓

Abuja

↓

Enugu

↓

Accra

↓

Nairobi

↓

London

↓

New York

↓

Dubai

↓

Thousands of cities

The information changes.

The underlying architecture remains consistent.

That is how a city-first strategy can potentially become a global strategy.

⸻

The Global City Index

Imagine a future where LeeX has structured representations of hundreds or thousands of cities.

A user could move between cities through the same discovery system.

A business could understand its position within a city.

A traveler could explore an unfamiliar destination.

An event organizer could understand nearby locations.

An enterprise could analyze geographic patterns.

An AI system could reason about relationships between locations.

At that point, the City Index would no longer simply be a database.

It could become part of a Global Discovery Network.

The LeeX Blueprint describes this long-term direction as an evolution toward location and movement intelligence built from accumulated listings, moments, check-ins and interactions.

⸻

Why This Matters for LeeX Scale

A strong City Index can make city expansion more systematic.

Instead of asking:

“Can LeeX launch in another city?”

the question becomes:

“How quickly can LeeX build a high-quality digital representation of another city?”

That is a much more useful scaling metric.

If the process takes two years, international expansion is slow.

If it takes six months, expansion becomes faster.

If significant portions become automated and standardized, expansion can accelerate further.

This is where technology, data operations and funding intersect.

⸻

From One City to a Global Network

The long-term sequence could be:

One Deep City

↓

Five Deep Cities

↓

Ten Cities

↓

Fifty Cities

↓

Hundreds of Cities

↓

Thousands of Cities

At every stage, LeeX would ideally increase not only the number of cities but also the depth of each city.

That is the difference between breadth and meaningful scale.

LeeX should not simply collect city names.

It should build city knowledge.

⸻

The Bigger LeeX Vision

The City Index is ultimately about creating a digital representation of the physical world.

The physical world contains:

Cities

Neighbourhoods

Locations

Businesses

Events

Infrastructure

People’s experiences

The digital layer can organize these elements into relationships.

The discovery layer can help people find them.

The activity layer can show what is happening.

The intelligence layer can eventually understand those relationships.

And AI can make that information easier to interact with.

That creates a progression:

Physical City

↓

Digital City

↓

City Discovery

↓

City Intelligence

↓

AI-Powered City Understanding

This is the potential significance of the LeeX City Index.

⸻

From Oscar Awowari’s LeeX Beta to a Global City Network

The story of LeeX Beta is therefore not only about launching another application.

It is about testing whether a repeatable system can be built for representing cities digitally.

Oscar Awowari, CEO and Founder, represents the broader product and company vision.

Elvis Awowari, CTO, represents the technical challenge of building systems capable of supporting increasingly large amounts of structured geographic information.

The first city provides the laboratory.

The next cities provide the evidence.

The global network provides the scale.

And LeeX AI represents the potential intelligence layer that could eventually sit above the accumulated city data.

⸻

The Future of the LeeX City Index

If LeeX succeeds, a city could eventually become more than a geographic boundary inside its ecosystem.

It could become a continuously updated digital entity.

A user could explore it.

A business could participate in it.

An event could activate it.

Infrastructure could connect it.

Moments could document it.

Check-ins could demonstrate activity within it.

AI could eventually reason about it.

That is the larger opportunity.

LeeX City Discovery can help people discover cities.

The LeeX City Index can help LeeX understand the structure of those cities.

LeeX AI can eventually help people interact intelligently with that understanding.

And if this model can be repeated across hundreds or thousands of cities, the result could become something much larger than a local discovery platform:

a global digital layer for discovering and understanding cities.

The future of LeeX may therefore begin with one simple idea:

Every city deserves a structured digital identity.

And LeeX Beta could be the beginning of building it—one city, one neighbourhood and one location at a time.

LeeX Beta, LeeX City Discovery, LeeX AI, Infrastructure Discovery, Digital Cities, Location Intelligence, Oscar Awowari, Elvis Awowari

When people think about discovering a city, they usually think about businesses.

Restaurants.

Hotels.

Supermarkets.

Pharmacies.

Entertainment venues.

But a city is much bigger than its businesses.

A city is also made up of roads, bridges, airports, parks, stadiums, schools, hospitals, government facilities, transport hubs, landmarks, public spaces and countless other physical locations that shape how people move through and experience their environment.

This creates an important question:

What happens when infrastructure itself becomes discoverable?

That is one of the opportunities behind LeeX Beta, the developing city discovery ecosystem founded by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO of LeeX, with Elvis Awowari serving as Chief Technology Officer.

LeeX is being developed around businesses, events and infrastructure as interconnected components of the city. Its broader objective is to make cities more discoverable, while building the structured information layer that can eventually support location intelligence and LeeX AI.

Infrastructure discovery could therefore become an important part of what LeeX eventually represents.

⸻

What Is Infrastructure Discovery?

Infrastructure discovery means making the physical and institutional structures that make a city function easier to find, understand and explore digitally.

A person may want to find:

A major road

A bridge

An airport

A bus terminal

A railway station

A stadium

A public park

A university

A hospital

A government facility

A landmark

A tourist attraction

A convention centre

A public space

A transport hub

These are not merely points on a map.

They are components of a city.

A useful infrastructure discovery system could organize these places according to:

Name

Category

Location

Geographic boundaries

Description

Accessibility

Connected locations

Nearby businesses

Nearby events

Relevant services

Operating information where applicable

Photos and media

Updates

Historical or contextual information

This turns infrastructure from isolated physical objects into structured city information.

⸻

Why Infrastructure Matters to LeeX

LeeX’s underlying model treats a city as a connected ecosystem rather than simply a collection of business listings.

The existing LeeX material describes businesses, events and infrastructure as core components of the platform.

That distinction is important.

Imagine a stadium.

A traditional business directory might not consider it particularly important.

A map might represent it as a location.

An event platform might only care about it when a concert is scheduled there.

But a city discovery platform can represent the stadium as a permanent part of the city.

Then several relationships become possible:

Stadium

→ Events

→ Restaurants nearby

→ Hotels nearby

→ Transport options

→ Parking

→ Neighbourhood

→ Tourist attractions

→ Other infrastructure

The stadium becomes a node in the city’s information network.

That is much more powerful than simply having a map pin.

⸻

Turning Physical Infrastructure Into Digital Information

The physical world is full of infrastructure that people interact with every day without necessarily having a complete digital representation of it.

Consider a road.

A road can have:

A name

Geographic coordinates

A geographic route

Connected roads

Nearby businesses

Nearby institutions

Nearby events

Traffic relevance

Neighbourhood associations

City associations

Now consider a bridge.

A bridge connects two geographic areas.

It may connect:

Neighbourhood A → Neighbourhood B

That connection can be important to understanding how a city functions.

A transport terminal can similarly connect:

People → Businesses → Events → Neighbourhoods → Other Cities

Infrastructure therefore provides some of the relationships through which the city operates.

⸻

LeeX Infrastructure Is More Than Mapping

This is where LeeX can potentially differentiate its infrastructure concept.

The objective should not simply be:

“Put infrastructure on a map.”

The larger opportunity is:

Create structured, searchable and connected information about the infrastructure that makes cities function.

A map answers:

Where is it?

A discovery platform can ask:

What is it?

What is around it?

What happens there?

What can I discover nearby?

How is it connected to the rest of the city?

That is where infrastructure begins moving from mapping toward discovery.

⸻

Infrastructure + Businesses

Consider a hospital.

The hospital itself is infrastructure or an institutional location.

But around it may be:

Pharmacies

Restaurants

Hotels

Banks

Laboratories

Transport services

Medical suppliers

A LeeX discovery system could connect these relationships.

A user discovering the hospital could potentially discover relevant surrounding services.

The same principle works in reverse.

Someone discovering a pharmacy could discover hospitals and healthcare facilities nearby.

The locations become connected.

⸻

Infrastructure + Events

Events create another important relationship.

A concert venue may exist permanently.

The concert happens temporarily.

Therefore:

Infrastructure = permanent location

Event = time-dependent activity

The relationship becomes:

Venue → Event → Date → Time → City

This is one of the reasons infrastructure is important to event discovery.

A user doesn’t simply need to know that an event exists.

They need to understand:

Where is it happening?

What is around the venue?

How does the venue relate to the city?

What other locations are nearby?

LeeX can potentially connect those layers.

⸻

Infrastructure + Tourism

Tourism provides another major opportunity.

A visitor arriving in a city may want to discover:

Landmarks

Parks

Museums

Beaches

Stadiums

Cultural centres

Historic locations

Hotels

Restaurants

Entertainment

Events

Tourism therefore naturally crosses all three LeeX pillars.

Infrastructure

Businesses

Events

=

City Experience

This is one reason infrastructure discovery should not be treated as a secondary feature.

It can become part of the foundation for understanding the city itself.

⸻

Infrastructure + Location Intelligence

The long-term LeeX vision goes beyond discovery toward location intelligence.

The existing LeeX ecosystem describes a future in which structured information about locations, activity and relationships can support increasingly intelligent discovery systems.

Infrastructure is critical to that future because physical infrastructure creates the framework within which activity happens.

For example:

Airport

→ Hotels

→ Restaurants

→ Roads

→ Transport

→ Tourist attractions

→ Events

→ Businesses

A system that understands these relationships has more context than a system that simply stores individual locations.

This is where infrastructure data can become intelligence.

⸻

The Infrastructure Graph

Imagine LeeX eventually representing a city as a connected graph.

For example:

Airport

↓

Transport Hub

↓

Major Road

↓

Neighbourhood

↓

Hotel

↓

Restaurant

↓

Event Venue

↓

Event

Each element is a location or activity.

Each relationship adds context.

This can eventually produce a digital representation of how the city is organized.

The result is not simply:

“Here is a list of places.”

It becomes:

“Here is how these places relate to each other.”

That is a much deeper representation of a city.

⸻

Infrastructure Discovery at Different Geographic Scales

Infrastructure also needs to work at multiple geographic levels.

A user might ask:

“What infrastructure is near me?”

That is a small-radius query.

Another user might want:

“What infrastructure exists in this neighbourhood?”

That is a neighbourhood query.

Another might ask:

“What are the major infrastructure assets in Port Harcourt?”

That becomes a city-level query.

Another could ask:

“What infrastructure connects this region?”

That becomes a regional query.

The geographic hierarchy can therefore become:

Point

↓

Radius

↓

Neighbourhood

↓

City

↓

Region

↓

Country

↓

Global

This is consistent with the broader geospatial architecture already being explored within LeeX, where geographic discovery can operate across point, radius, neighbourhood, city and regional scopes.

⸻

The 1-Kilometre Infrastructure Question

One interesting way to think about infrastructure discovery is through geographic density.

Imagine a person standing in a particular part of a city.

Within one kilometre, they may encounter:

Roads

Schools

Hospitals

Parks

Banks

Restaurants

Shops

Transport points

Public facilities

Event venues

A sufficiently structured LeeX database could eventually answer:

“What infrastructure exists within 1 kilometre of this location?”

Then the same system could expand to:

500 metres

1 kilometre

2 kilometres

5 kilometres

10 kilometres

This turns infrastructure into a searchable geographic layer.

⸻

Building a Digital Infrastructure Index

One possible future development is a LeeX Infrastructure Index.

The index could organize infrastructure according to categories.

Transportation

Airports

Bus terminals

Railway stations

Ports

Major roads

Bridges

Transport hubs

Public Facilities

Government offices

Public parks

Libraries

Civic centres

Public spaces

Education

Schools

Universities

Colleges

Research institutions

Healthcare

Hospitals

Clinics

Medical centres

Recreation

Stadiums

Parks

Sports centres

Entertainment facilities

Tourism

Landmarks

Attractions

Cultural centres

Museums

Historic sites

This creates a structured infrastructure taxonomy.

⸻

Why Infrastructure Data Can Become Extremely Large

A city is not represented by a few hundred important landmarks.

There can be thousands of meaningful locations.

A major metropolitan area could contain enormous numbers of infrastructure and institutional records.

When infrastructure is combined with businesses and events, the total location database becomes significantly larger.

This is where the scale of LeeX becomes interesting.

The platform’s existing technical discussions already consider the possibility of systems handling datasets ranging from thousands to millions and eventually tens of millions of locations.

Infrastructure can become one of the major contributors to that dataset.

⸻

Infrastructure Creates the Backbone of City Discovery

Consider what happens when someone discovers a business.

The business has a location.

The location belongs to a neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood belongs to a city.

The city contains roads.

The roads connect neighbourhoods.

The neighbourhood contains events.

The events happen at venues.

The venues exist within the infrastructure of the city.

Suddenly, the business listing is no longer isolated.

It becomes part of a larger geographic system.

This is why infrastructure can become the backbone of city discovery.

⸻

From LeeX Beta to LeeX AI

The future LeeX AI concept makes infrastructure even more interesting.

The current LeeX vision describes LeeX AI as a future intelligent layer that could help users interact with city information through natural-language discovery and recommendations.

Imagine asking:

“What important places are around this part of the city?”

Or:

“What tourist attractions are close to this hotel?”

Or:

“What event venues are near this neighbourhood?”

Or:

“What infrastructure connects this area to the city centre?”

A future LeeX AI system could potentially answer questions like these using structured geographic relationships.

But that intelligence depends on the foundation underneath it.

AI needs data.

Discovery needs structure.

Location intelligence needs relationships.

That is why LeeX Beta’s infrastructure work matters before advanced AI becomes the focus.

⸻

Oscar Awowari and the Infrastructure Vision

For Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO of LeeX, the larger opportunity is not simply creating another place-search product.

The vision is to make cities more discoverable by organizing the information that already exists physically around people.

For Elvis Awowari, CTO, this creates an equally significant technical challenge.

A system that eventually represents millions of locations needs:

Structured databases

Geographic indexing

Search infrastructure

Location identity

Data validation

Scalable APIs

Efficient querying

Ranking systems

Infrastructure for growth

The technical foundation becomes increasingly important as the number of locations increases.

LeeX’s existing engineering discussions already explore these issues, including geospatial indexing and geographic search at large scale.

⸻

From One City to Many Cities

Infrastructure discovery can also make the LeeX city-by-city expansion model more repeatable.

Imagine LeeX develops a standardized infrastructure taxonomy in its first city.

The same framework could then be adapted to another city.

For example:

City A

Roads

Bridges

Hospitals

Schools

Parks

Transport

Landmarks

↓

LeeX City Infrastructure Model

↓

City B

Roads

Bridges

Hospitals

Schools

Parks

Transport

Landmarks

↓

City C

↓

City D

↓

City E

The data changes.

The framework remains.

That is how a city discovery platform can potentially scale.

⸻

Port Harcourt as the Starting Point

LeeX’s public materials identify Port Harcourt as an important starting point for the project.

That creates an opportunity to treat Port Harcourt as more than simply the first market.

It can become the first deeply structured city model.

The city could eventually be represented through:

Businesses

Events

Infrastructure

Neighbourhoods

Tourism

Location relationships

Activity

That creates a blueprint that could eventually be adapted to other Nigerian cities and, later, international markets.

⸻

Why Infrastructure Could Become a Major LeeX Data Asset

The more complete the infrastructure layer becomes, the more relationships LeeX can potentially understand.

A road connects places.

A bridge connects geographic areas.

An airport connects a city to other cities.

A hotel connects visitors to a neighbourhood.

An event venue connects events to infrastructure.

A park connects recreation to a geographic area.

A landmark connects tourism to a location.

These relationships create context.

And context is what transforms raw location data into useful intelligence.

⸻

The Long-Term Opportunity

The long-term LeeX opportunity can therefore be understood as a progression:

Physical City

↓

Digital Locations

↓

Structured City Data

↓

Connected City Graph

↓

City Discovery

↓

Location Intelligence

↓

LeeX AI

↓

Global Discovery Network

This is why infrastructure deserves to become a major part of the LeeX content and product story.

The future of city technology may not only be about knowing where something is.

It may increasingly be about understanding how everything in a city connects.

⸻

LeeX Is Not Just Mapping the City

The distinction matters.

A map primarily helps answer:

Where?

A directory helps answer:

What?

A discovery platform can combine:

Where + What + Context + Relevance

And an intelligence platform can eventually add:

Why + Relationships + Patterns + Prediction

That is the direction in which LeeX can potentially evolve.

LeeX Beta provides the foundation.

LeeX City Discovery organizes the city.

LeeX Infrastructure Discovery expands the physical representation.

LeeX AI can eventually bring intelligence to that information.

And the long-term LeeX vision is to connect these layers into a global discovery ecosystem.

⸻

The Future of Infrastructure Discovery

The cities of the future will contain enormous amounts of digital information.

But simply having information is not enough.

It needs to be:

Structured.

Searchable.

Connected.

Discoverable.

Accurate.

Contextual.

Useful.

Infrastructure is one of the most important parts of that equation.

Roads, bridges, airports, hospitals, schools, parks, stadiums, transport hubs, landmarks and public facilities are not background objects.

They are part of the identity and functioning of every city.

By treating infrastructure as a first-class discovery category, LeeX can potentially move toward a much deeper representation of cities—one where businesses, events and physical infrastructure exist within the same connected geographic ecosystem.

That is the bigger opportunity behind LeeX Beta Infrastructure Discovery.

Oscar Awowari and Elvis Awowari are not simply building a database of places. The larger challenge is building the digital structure through which cities can eventually become understandable, discoverable and intelligent.

And if LeeX succeeds in building that structure city by city, infrastructure could become one of the most important layers in the transition from:

LeeX Beta

to

LeeX City Discovery

to

LeeX AI

to

Global Location Intelligence.

LeeX Beta Scale, LeeX Scaling Strategy, City-by-City Expansion, Location Density, Location Intelligence, Startup Funding, City Discovery Platform, Oscar Awowari, Elvis Awowari

A city discovery platform does not scale simply by adding more users.

It scales by building more cities, increasing location density, expanding geographic coverage, connecting more businesses and organizations, and turning the information generated across those locations into increasingly valuable intelligence.

This is the long-term scaling opportunity behind LeeX Beta.

LeeX is being developed by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO, alongside Elvis Awowari, CTO. The LeeX vision begins with city discovery but is designed to develop into a broader location intelligence ecosystem built around businesses, events, infrastructure and the relationships between locations.

The fundamental scaling question is therefore not simply:

“How many cities can LeeX enter?”

It is:

“How deeply can LeeX digitally represent each city, and how quickly can that process be repeated?”

The LeeX City-by-City Scaling Model

LeeX can begin with one city, build a strong digital representation of that city, prove the model, and then repeat the process.

The expansion path can be:

One City

↓

Deep City Coverage

↓

Repeatable Expansion System

↓

Multiple Cities

↓

Regional Network

↓

National Network

↓

Global Discovery Network

↓

Location Intelligence Platform

The LeeX Blueprint specifically describes Growth as the framework for expanding sustainably across cities while increasing value for users, organizations and communities. It also emphasizes building complete, high-quality city ecosystems before moving into new regions.

This means LeeX should not measure scale by city count alone.

A city with 1,000 poorly maintained listings is not necessarily more valuable than a city with 20,000 accurate and useful locations.

Depth matters.

What Does a Dense LeeX City Look Like?

Every city contains far more than businesses.

A comprehensive LeeX city can potentially contain:

Restaurants

Hotels

Apartments and accommodations

Hospitals

Pharmacies

Banks

Schools

Universities

Supermarkets

Markets

Shopping centres

Event centres

Concert venues

Stadiums

Parks

Tourist attractions

Landmarks

Government facilities

Transport hubs

Religious institutions

Entertainment venues

Public spaces

Events

Community locations

Infrastructure

This is possible because LeeX is built around three permanent pillars:

Businesses, Events and Infrastructure.

These pillars are interconnected. Businesses exist within infrastructure, events happen at locations, and infrastructure supports businesses and events.

The result is potentially much more valuable than a conventional business directory.

It becomes a digital representation of the city.

Location Density Is a Core Scaling Metric

One of the most useful ways to measure LeeX’s growth is through location density.

Instead of asking only:

“How many listings does LeeX have?”

LeeX can eventually ask:

“How much of a city can users actually discover?”

For example:

Locations per square kilometre

Verified locations per neighbourhood

Businesses within 1 km

Locations within 2 km

Discovery coverage within 5 km

City-wide infrastructure coverage

Accommodation density

Tourism-location density

Event density

This makes geographic coverage measurable.

The 500-Metre, 1-Kilometre and 5-Kilometre Opportunity

Consider someone standing in a particular location.

Within 500 metres, they might want extremely local discovery:

Restaurants, pharmacies, shops, banks and nearby services.

Within 1 kilometre, they may want neighbourhood discovery:

Hotels, attractions, schools, entertainment, healthcare and events.

Within 5 kilometres, they may want broader area discovery:

Major attractions, event venues, shopping districts, hotels and entertainment.

Within 10 kilometres, they may want wider city exploration.

This creates a powerful concept for LeeX:

Location density should translate into discovery usefulness.

The more meaningful locations available within a relevant geographic range, the more useful the platform can become.

Possible LeeX City Density Targets

These numbers should be treated as strategic operating targets rather than claims about the exact number of places in any city.

A small or developing city might become useful with:

10,000–25,000 quality locations.

A medium-sized city could target:

25,000–75,000 locations.

A major metropolitan area could potentially require:

100,000+ locations.

Very large metropolitan ecosystems could eventually contain:

500,000–1,000,000+ location records.

The goal is not to force every city into the same number.

The goal is to achieve meaningful coverage relative to each city’s population, geography and complexity.

From Listings to a Location Graph

The real value increases when LeeX connects the locations.

A hotel is not simply a hotel.

It exists near restaurants.

Those restaurants exist near attractions.

An event happens at a venue.

The venue exists within a neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood connects to transportation infrastructure.

That creates:

Hotel → Restaurant → Event → Venue → Neighbourhood → Infrastructure → City

This is the beginning of a location graph.

The LeeX Blueprint describes the long-term Intelligence layer as understanding locations, relationships, activity patterns and city behaviour at scale.

That is what makes increasing location density strategically important.

More locations can mean more relationships.

More relationships can mean more context.

More context can mean better intelligence.

A Six-Month LeeX Scaling Scenario

Without major external funding, LeeX could concentrate resources on building depth in its initial market.

An illustrative six-month scenario could be:

Months 1–2

2,000–5,000 quality locations.

Months 3–4

5,000–10,000 locations.

Months 5–6

10,000–25,000 locations.

The objective would be to prove that a city can become genuinely useful before aggressively expanding.

With substantial funding and a larger operational team, an ambitious scenario could potentially target:

25,000–100,000+ locations across several cities within six months.

The actual outcome would depend on funding, team size, data availability, verification standards, city complexity and execution.

These figures are therefore planning scenarios, not guaranteed forecasts.

One-Year LeeX Scaling Scenario

A lean, bootstrapped strategy could potentially focus on:

1–3 deeply developed cities

with:

25,000–75,000+ quality locations.

A funded strategy could potentially target:

5–15 cities

with:

100,000–750,000+ structured locations.

Again, the key metric should not be the number of cities alone.

A better question is:

How many cities have reached meaningful discovery density?

Two- and Three-Year Scaling

As the city-building process becomes more repeatable, expansion can accelerate.

An ambitious planning scenario could look like:

Two Years

Lean: 3–8 cities / 75,000–250,000 locations

Funded: 15–50 cities / 500,000–2.5 million+ locations

Three Years

Lean: 5–15 cities / 150,000–500,000 locations

Funded: 30–100+ cities / 1 million–10 million+ locations

These are strategic scenarios designed to illustrate the difference between capital-constrained and capital-enabled expansion.

They should not be presented to investors as guaranteed forecasts.

Why Funding Can Change the Speed of Expansion

Funding does not automatically create scale.

It allows LeeX to build the teams and infrastructure that create scale.

Capital could support:

Data teams — collecting and structuring locations.

Verification teams — improving accuracy.

City operations teams — expanding geographically.

Engineering teams — building scalable infrastructure.

Business development teams — bringing organizations into the ecosystem.

Growth teams — acquiring users.

AI teams — developing future intelligence systems.

Partnership teams — working with tourism, infrastructure, businesses and institutions.

Without funding, many of these responsibilities may remain concentrated within a small team.

With funding, they can operate simultaneously.

That is the difference between linear expansion and the possibility of building a repeatable expansion machine.

The Funding Flywheel

The long-term model can become:

Capital

↓

More Teams

↓

More Locations

↓

Higher City Density

↓

Better Discovery

↓

More Users

↓

More Business Participation

↓

More Revenue

↓

More Cities

↓

More Data

↓

Better Location Intelligence

The important point is that funding should eventually create economic leverage.

LeeX should not simply spend money to create a bigger database.

It should use capital to create a system that becomes increasingly efficient at building valuable city ecosystems.

When LeeX Can Start Scaling Faster

The most important milestone may be proving that the first city-building process is repeatable.

Imagine LeeX achieves:

City 1 — 15,000 locations

Then:

City 2 — 14,000 locations

Then:

City 3 — 20,000 locations

At that point, LeeX is no longer simply demonstrating that it can build one database.

It is demonstrating that it has a city expansion system.

That system can then be standardized, automated and deployed elsewhere.

The first city teaches LeeX how to build a city.

The next cities teach LeeX how to repeat the process.

The next 10 cities teach LeeX how to industrialize the process.

From Nigeria to the World

The global opportunity begins with the fact that the problem is not unique to one country.

Cities everywhere contain fragmented information.

Businesses need visibility.

Events need discovery.

Travelers need information.

Residents need local knowledge.

Organizations need location intelligence.

The LeeX Blueprint describes the long-term ambition of moving beyond discovery toward systems such as Location Intelligence, Movement Intelligence and a Global Discovery Network.

This creates a potential expansion path from Nigeria into other African markets and eventually international cities.

The strategic sequence can be:

Port Harcourt

→ Other Nigerian Cities

→ Major African Cities

→ International Cities

→ Global City Network

The first market is therefore not necessarily the limit of the opportunity.

It can be the testing ground for a repeatable global system.

How LeeX Could Become a Unicorn

A unicorn is generally understood as a privately held startup valued at $1 billion or more.

For LeeX to reach that category, having millions of listings would not be enough.

The company would need evidence of significant economic value.

Potential indicators could include:

Large-scale user adoption

Strong recurring revenue

Thousands or millions of active locations

Hundreds of cities

Significant business participation

Tourism and event activity

Enterprise customers

Location-intelligence products

Strong retention

Proprietary data advantages

A repeatable global expansion model

The exact combination would depend on how the business develops.

From Unicorn to Multi-Unicorn

After establishing a strong regional or international network, LeeX could potentially expand into multiple high-value revenue categories:

Business discovery

Featured listings

Tourism discovery

Accommodation discovery

Event discovery

Business analytics

Location intelligence

Enterprise APIs

AI-powered discovery

This creates a much larger platform than a conventional local directory.

The consumer side generates discovery activity.

The business side generates revenue.

The data layer generates intelligence.

The enterprise layer monetizes that intelligence.

What Would It Take to Become a $10 Billion Company?

At this level, LeeX would need to operate as a major international technology platform.

An illustrative scale could involve:

Hundreds of cities

Millions of locations

Tens of millions of users

Large recurring business revenue

Enterprise customers

International markets

AI-powered discovery

Location intelligence products

These are not valuation formulas.

They illustrate the magnitude of ecosystem LeeX would likely need to build.

What About $50 Billion?

At a much larger scale, LeeX would need to become a genuinely global platform.

The business could potentially combine:

Consumer discovery

Business visibility

Tourism

Events

Accommodation

Enterprise intelligence

Location data

AI

The company would no longer be monetizing only individual listings.

It would be monetizing a global information and intelligence network.

The $200 Billion Long-Term Vision

A $200 billion valuation should be treated as an ambitious long-term vision rather than a prediction.

At that level, LeeX would have to become one of the world’s most important technology companies.

It would likely need:

Global geographic coverage

Hundreds or thousands of cities

Massive user adoption

Large recurring revenue

High-value enterprise products

A highly defensible location-data network

Advanced AI capabilities

Strong network effects

Significant profitability or a very credible path to it

Most importantly, LeeX would have to evolve beyond being known simply as a city discovery application.

It would need to become global location intelligence infrastructure.

The LeeX Valuation Ladder

The long-term ambition can therefore be visualized as:

Sustainable Startup

↓

Regional Technology Company

↓

$1B+ Unicorn

↓

$5B–$10B+ Global Platform

↓

$50B+ Major Technology Company

↓

$100B+ Global Infrastructure/Intelligence Platform

↓

$200B Long-Term Ambition

There is no predetermined percentage chance of LeeX reaching any of these levels.

Instead, progress should be measured through actual metrics.

Measure Growth Instead of Guessing Probability

Rather than saying:

“LeeX has a 20% chance of becoming a unicorn,”

track measurable growth.

For example:

City Growth Rate

2 cities → 10 cities = 5× geographic expansion

Location Growth Rate

20,000 → 200,000 locations = 10× location growth

User Growth Rate

50,000 → 1 million users = 20× user growth

Revenue Growth Rate

$100,000 → $1 million annual revenue = 10× revenue growth

These measurements provide evidence of whether the company is actually approaching the scale required for larger outcomes.

The LeeX Scale Equation

A useful way to think about the company’s long-term opportunity is:

Cities × Location Density × Users × Business Participation × Revenue per Organization × Intelligence Value

Every factor matters.

More cities increase geographic coverage.

More locations increase density.

More users increase discovery activity.

More organizations increase commercial participation.

More revenue per organization improves economics.

More intelligence increases the potential enterprise value of the platform.

This is why the LeeX opportunity can become significantly larger as the ecosystem compounds.

The Ultimate LeeX Scaling Flywheel

The long-term system could eventually look like:

More Cities

↓

More Locations

↓

More Density

↓

More Discovery

↓

More Users

↓

More Activity

↓

More Business Value

↓

More Revenue

↓

More Investment

↓

More Cities

↓

More Intelligence

The Blueprint describes this broader progression clearly: Discovery creates visibility, Experience adds context, Presence validates activity, Reputation measures significance, Growth expands the ecosystem, and Intelligence transforms accumulated knowledge into understanding.

That is the fundamental LeeX scaling thesis.

The First City Is Not the Company

The first city is the proof.

The first 10,000 locations are proof that the data engine works.

The first 10 cities are proof that the expansion engine works.

The first million locations are proof that the infrastructure can operate at meaningful scale.

The first major revenue milestone is proof that discovery can become an economic engine.

And eventually, millions of locations across hundreds or thousands of cities could become the foundation for something much larger:

a global location intelligence ecosystem.

For Oscar Awowari and Elvis Awowari, the long-term challenge is therefore not simply building an application.

It is building a system that can repeatedly digitize cities, connect their locations, understand their activity and turn that accumulated knowledge into increasingly valuable discovery and intelligence.

That is how LeeX can potentially move from:

One City

to

Many Cities

to

A Global Network

to

A Location Intelligence Company

and, if execution, market adoption and economics ultimately support it, toward the category of extremely large global technology companies.

LeeX does not need to conquer the world on day one. It needs to prove that one city can become a repeatable system. Then another. Then another.

Scale begins with density. Density creates discovery. Discovery creates activity. Activity creates intelligence. Intelligence creates economic value.

That is the long-term LeeX scale thesis.

LeeX is a city discovery and location intelligence ecosystem founded and led by Oscar Awowari, Founder and CEO of LeeX. LeeX exists to organize, understand, and enhance the relationship between people and the places around them, addressing the fragmentation of city information across maps, directories, websites, applications, and social networks. The LeeX vision begins with discovery but extends toward city understanding: a unified digital framework where locations are discoverable, represented, experienced, visited, trusted, and progressively understood through activity and intelligence. LeeX is not a social media platform, review platform, or navigation platform. It is a discovery and intelligence platform designed to help people find, experience, understand, and interact with locations in meaningful ways. At its foundation are three permanent pillars: Businesses, Events, and Infrastructure.

These pillars create the digital framework of cities and provide the structure for future systems. LeeX Identity gives every Business, Event, and Infrastructure listing a structured digital presence with information such as name, category, description, media, contact details, operating information, and location data. The Claiming System supports a supply-first approach, allowing listings to exist before owners become active while providing organizations a pathway to claim, manage, verify, and maintain their digital presence. QR Identity creates a bridge between physical locations and their digital LeeX profiles. Discovery is the heartbeat of LeeX, using search, categories, filters, location-based exploration, relevance, activity, reputation, engagement, and recommendations to help people find places, opportunities, services, destinations, and experiences. Experience is built around Location Moments, turning static listings into living digital environments and creating a location-centered archive of community knowledge. Presence connects digital discovery with real-world interaction through the LeeX Check-In Network. Check-Ins can create activity records, strengthen location identity, support trust, and help reveal active destinations, communities, emerging locations, and patterns of city activity while maintaining a location-first approach. Reputation measures the relevance and significance of locations through genuine activity such as Saves, Shares, Moments, and Check-Ins rather than relying only on traditional ratings and reviews. These signals can support Trending Places, Popular Listings, visibility, and recommendations. Growth is designed around quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness rather than expansion for its own sake. LeeX follows a city-first strategy, strengthening individual city ecosystems before expanding across regions. The growth framework includes Discovery Listings, Featured Listings, profile management, partnerships, and enterprise opportunities. The Beta also provides a stage for learning from users and strengthening the connection between city supply, discovery demand, activity, and product development. LeeX is designed to create value for individuals seeking places and experiences, while giving businesses, event organizers, and organizations a structured way to become discoverable and build a lasting digital presence. The ecosystem is intended to grow through meaningful information and activity. Every listing, Moment, Check-In, Save, Share, and interaction can contribute to a growing network of location knowledge that supports better discovery, recommendations, analytics, and city understanding. Through the AI Discovery Engine, Location Intelligence, Movement Intelligence, and Global Discovery Network, LeeX aims to progress from showing where places exist toward understanding how they connect, how people interact with them, why they matter, and how cities function as living environments. The progression is deliberate: Discovery creates visibility; Experience adds context; Presence validates activity; Reputation measures significance; Growth expands the ecosystem; Intelligence transforms accumulated knowledge into understanding. LeeX Beta represents the development stage through which this vision is being tested, refined, and expanded. LeeX Beta Access (Waitlist) is the early entry point for people interested in following the product, participating in its emerging community, exploring city discovery, and potentially gaining access as the ecosystem develops. LeeX begins with a city-first foundation and a global ambition: build strong, useful, connected city ecosystems and progressively extend that network across regions. Founded and led by Oscar Awowari, LeeX is being developed as a platform for understanding places and the people, experiences, and activity that bring cities to life.
LeeX: How Oscar Ibisaki Awowari Is Turning Location Discovery Into a Smarter Way to Understand Cities

In a world where cities are becoming larger and more connected, finding the right business, event, facility or destination can still be surprisingly difficult. Information about places is often scattered across different websites, directories, maps and social platforms. LeeX, under the vision of Oscar Ibisaki Awowari (Oscar Lee), is being built around a different approach: creating a unified ecosystem where people can discover locations and eventually gain a deeper understanding of the cities around them.

At the foundation of LeeX are three major pillars: Businesses, Events and Infrastructure. These pillars are designed to create a structured digital representation of a city. Instead of focusing only on businesses or navigation, LeeX brings together commercial locations, time-sensitive activities and the physical infrastructure that shapes how people experience a city.

The bigger idea is that discovery should not end when someone finds a location. LeeX is designed to make locations more informative through systems such as Moments, Check-Ins, Discovery Reputation and future Intelligence Layers. These systems can help transform locations from static records into dynamic digital entities that evolve through real-world activity and community interaction.

Oscar Lee’s vision for LeeX therefore goes beyond simply creating another directory. A business, event or infrastructure listing can have its own digital identity containing information such as its name, category, description, media, contact details, operating information and location. The platform’s Identity system is intended to provide consistency and make places easier to manage, verify and discover.

Another important part of the concept is Experience. Through Location Moments, users can contribute photographs, videos, observations and experiences connected directly to places. Over time, these contributions can create a richer picture of what a location is actually like, giving future visitors more context than a simple address or business description can provide.

LeeX also introduces Presence through its Check-In Network. The purpose is not simply to tell people where someone is, but to connect digital discovery with real-world interaction. Check-ins can contribute activity records to a location, helping build a picture of how businesses, venues, landmarks and other places are being used and experienced.

The long-term ambition becomes even more significant with the Intelligence layer. According to the LeeX blueprint, systems such as the AI Discovery Engine, Location Intelligence, Movement Intelligence and Global Discovery Network are intended to help the platform understand relationships between locations, activity patterns and how cities function. This represents the progression from simply showing where places exist to understanding how those places connect and why they matter.

For Oscar Ibisaki Awowari, this creates a broader vision for digital city discovery. LeeX is designed to begin with discovery, grow through experiences and real-world activity, and eventually use accumulated information to develop deeper location intelligence. The blueprint describes this progression as Discovery → Experience → Presence → Reputation → Growth → Intelligence.

If this vision is successfully developed, LeeX could provide a different way of thinking about digital cities. Rather than treating a city as a collection of disconnected listings, the platform aims to represent businesses, events and infrastructure as interconnected parts of one ecosystem. That approach could make digital discovery more structured while creating a foundation for future recommendations, analytics and city insights.

Ultimately, LeeX is being built around the idea that understanding a city requires more than knowing where places are located. It requires understanding the businesses operating there, the events taking place, the infrastructure supporting movement, the experiences people have and the activity happening around those places. That is the larger direction behind Oscar Ibisaki Awowari’s LeeX vision: moving from simple location discovery toward a platform capable of helping people understand cities as living environments.

The way people discover businesses, events and important places is changing rapidly, and LeeX, under the vision of Oscar Ibisaki Awowari (Oscar Lee), is positioning itself around a broader idea: creating a unified digital ecosystem for cities. Rather than treating businesses, events and infrastructure as separate pieces of information scattered across different platforms, LeeX is designed to bring them together into one structured and searchable environment.

At the centre of the LeeX vision are three major pillars: Businesses, Events and Infrastructure. Businesses can include restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, educational institutions, healthcare providers and entertainment venues. Events add the time-sensitive side of city life, including conferences, festivals, concerts, community gatherings and sporting activities. Infrastructure covers the physical framework around people, including roads, bridges, airports, parks, transportation hubs, landmarks, campuses and public spaces.

What makes this approach interesting is the connection between these three pillars. A business exists within an area, events happen at specific locations, and infrastructure supports the movement and activities of people. LeeX is therefore designed not simply as another directory of names and addresses, but as a connected representation of how places function in the real world. This creates the possibility of making city discovery more organised, accessible and meaningful.

For Oscar Lee, the larger vision goes beyond simply helping someone find a restaurant, hotel, event or landmark. LeeX is being developed around the idea that locations can have their own digital identities. Each business, event and infrastructure listing can have structured information such as its name, category, description, media, contact details, operating information and location data. This identity system is intended to make places easier to discover while providing a consistent digital representation across the ecosystem.

The platform also introduces the idea of Location Moments, where photographs, videos, observations and experiences can become connected to the places where they happened. Instead of content existing only around individual users, LeeX’s approach attaches experiences directly to locations, helping each place develop a richer history and more useful context over time.

This is where the vision of Oscar Ibisaki Awowari begins to move beyond traditional location directories. LeeX is designed to develop layers of Discovery, Experience, Presence, Reputation, Growth and Intelligence. Discovery helps people find places, Experience adds human context, Presence connects digital information with real-world activity, Reputation measures meaningful engagement, while Intelligence represents the longer-term ambition of understanding locations and how they connect within cities.

The long-term objective is therefore much bigger than simply putting businesses on a digital map. LeeX aims to build a structured digital representation of cities where businesses, events, infrastructure and community activity can exist within one connected ecosystem. As more information and activity accumulate, the platform’s vision is to move from helping people find places to helping them understand places and cities.

For Nigerian businesses and communities, this type of ecosystem could create new opportunities for digital visibility and discovery. The LeeX blueprint places emphasis on building complete and high-quality city ecosystems, with growth focused on strengthening individual cities rather than simply expanding as quickly as possible.

Ultimately, LeeX under Oscar Ibisaki Awowari (Oscar Lee) represents a vision of cities as connected digital environments rather than collections of isolated listings. Businesses, events and infrastructure form the foundation, while experiences, real-world activity, reputation and intelligence build additional layers of understanding. The ambition is clear: to create a platform that does not merely show people where places are, but helps them discover, experience and understand the cities around them.

LeeX: How LeeX Can Help Reduce Traffic in Nigerian

LeeX: How LeeX Can Help Reduce Traffic in Nigerian Cities

Traffic is one of the biggest problems facing growing Nigerian cities.

In places like Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja, people can spend hours moving between locations that may only be a few kilometres apart.

But what if part of the solution is not simply building more roads?

What if cities could become more intelligent about how people move around them?

That is where LeeX could potentially play an interesting role.

LeeX and Traffic

LeeX is being developed around location discovery, businesses, events, infrastructure and location intelligence.

At first glance, that may not sound like a traffic solution.

But think about why people move around cities in the first place.

They travel to:

Businesses

Restaurants

Schools

Hospitals

Events

Shopping centres

Offices

Entertainment venues

Service providers

If people can discover the right places more efficiently, some unnecessary movement could potentially be reduced.

Better Location Discovery

Imagine someone looking for a pharmacy.

Instead of driving across town searching for one, LeeX could help them discover relevant pharmacies close to their current location.

The same could apply to restaurants, supermarkets, banks, repair shops, gyms and other services.

Better discovery → shorter trips → potentially less unnecessary traffic.

Discover Businesses Near You

Many people travel long distances simply because they don’t know that a similar business exists nearby.

A location-based platform could make nearby businesses easier to discover.

For example:

“Show me restaurants within 2km.”

Instead of automatically travelling to another part of the city, a user could discover suitable options nearby.

That doesn’t eliminate traffic, but it could reduce unnecessary journeys.

Event Discovery Could Help

Events can create major traffic problems.

Concerts, weddings, conferences, festivals and sporting events can suddenly concentrate thousands of people in one area.

If event information is connected to locations, users could potentially discover:

Where the event is

Nearby parking

Alternative routes

Nearby facilities

Other relevant locations

In the future, location intelligence could potentially help users understand how busy an area is before travelling there.

Smarter Movement Through Location Intelligence

This is where LeeX’s longer-term vision becomes more interesting.

A mature location-intelligence platform could potentially understand relationships between:

People + Places + Businesses + Events + Infrastructure

For example, if a major event is happening at a particular venue, the surrounding area could experience increased movement.

If enough location data exists, intelligent systems could potentially provide better recommendations about where and when people should travel.

This is where LeeXAI could eventually become relevant.

Reduce Unnecessary Cross-City Trips

Consider a simple example.

Someone in Port Harcourt needs:

A restaurant

A pharmacy

A supermarket

Today, they might visit three different areas because they don’t know what is available nearby.

A location-aware platform could potentially show options that allow those activities to be completed within the same area.

That means fewer unnecessary trips.

Helping Businesses Become More Local

LeeX could also help businesses reach customers who are already nearby.

Instead of everyone travelling to the same popular areas, better discovery could distribute demand across different parts of a city.

Imagine discovering a good restaurant, gym or service provider five minutes away instead of travelling 30 minutes across town.

That could potentially help spread movement more evenly.

The Bigger Opportunity

The real opportunity isn’t simply:

“LeeX will solve traffic.”

That would be an unrealistic claim.

The more interesting possibility is:

LeeX could become one layer of a smarter urban ecosystem.

If the platform eventually understands businesses, events, infrastructure, locations and activity, that information could potentially support better movement and urban decision-making.

Traffic is ultimately about more than roads.

It is also about where people need to go, why they go there, and how efficiently they can get there.

But There Are Challenges

For this to become realistic, LeeX would need accurate and continuously updated information.

It would also need significant adoption.

And reducing traffic at city scale would require cooperation with transport operators, businesses, event organizers and potentially government agencies.

LeeX alone cannot solve Nigeria’s traffic problems.

But technology can contribute to the solution.

Final Thought

I think this is one of the more interesting possibilities behind LeeX.

It starts with:

Discover places.

Then potentially develops into:

Understand places.

And eventually:

Understand how places, people and activity interact.

If that vision becomes reality, LeeX could potentially contribute to making Nigerian cities more connected, more discoverable and, in some situations, more efficient.

The question is:

Could a Nigerian location-intelligence platform become part of the solution to Nigeria’s traffic problems?

What do you think?

LeeX: A Nigerian Startup Worth Watching

Hello Nairalanders,

I recently came across LeeX, a Nigerian startup founded by Oscar Awowari, and I think it is worth watching.

LeeX is being built around city discovery, businesses, events, infrastructure and location intelligence.

At its simplest, the idea is to help people discover what is around them. But the bigger vision is to create a digital discovery layer for cities.

What Is LeeX?

LeeX is being developed around three main areas:

Businesses

Events

Infrastructure

Think about searching for a restaurant, hotel, hospital, pharmacy, event centre, gym, school or tourist attraction. Today, that information is scattered across Google, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp and word of mouth.

LeeX aims to bring more of that information together around actual locations.

Why Is This Interesting?

The question is obvious: Why do we need another discovery platform when Google Maps and social media already exist?

The opportunity is in fragmented local information.

Imagine visiting Port Harcourt and asking:

What restaurants are nearby?

What events are happening tonight?

Which hotels are around me?

What businesses provide a particular service?

What places are people discovering?

That is the problem LeeX is trying to address.

More Than a Directory

LeeX isn’t just about listing businesses.

Its broader concept includes digital identities for businesses, events and locations, alongside features such as Moments, Check-Ins, Reputation and QR identities.

The idea is to connect physical places with their digital presence and allow activity around those places to contribute to their identity.

Over time, this could create a richer picture of what is happening in a city.

The LeeXAI Vision

This is where things become more ambitious.

The longer-term vision includes LeeXAI, location intelligence and AI-powered discovery.

Instead of simply searching for a place, imagine asking:

“What interesting places are around me?”

or

“What can I do this weekend?”

An intelligent system could potentially use location data, businesses, events and activity to provide more relevant recommendations.

These are future possibilities, not claims that all of these features are already available.

Why It Could Matter in Nigeria

Nigeria has millions of businesses and a massive events ecosystem, yet discovering local businesses and activities can still be surprisingly difficult.

Restaurants, hotels, salons, pharmacies, fashion stores, event centres, gyms and service providers all need visibility.

Events face a similar problem. Information is often spread across flyers, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp.

A location-first discovery platform could potentially make this information easier to find.

The Big Challenge

The vision is interesting, but execution will determine everything.

LeeX will have to overcome:

User adoption

Data accuracy

The business/user cold-start problem

Competition from Google and social platforms

The difficulty of building a large location ecosystem

An impressive idea is not enough. LeeX needs real users, businesses, active locations and engagement.

My Take

As a startup concept, I would give LeeX 8.5/10.

Problem: 9/10
Vision: 9.5/10
Market opportunity: 9/10
Differentiation: 8.5/10
Execution difficulty: 6/10

The most interesting part to me isn’t necessarily the app itself. It is the possibility of building a location-intelligence ecosystem around African cities.

If LeeX can establish a strong ecosystem in one city, such as Port Harcourt, the model could potentially expand to Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Benin City, Owerri and eventually other African cities.

But first, the company has to prove the model.

Final Thoughts

I think Nigerian technology needs founders willing to tackle problems beyond fintech.

Cities themselves are a huge technology opportunity:

How people discover places.
How businesses become visible.
How events are discovered.
How experiences connect to locations.
How AI can understand cities.

Oscar Awowari and the LeeX team are attempting to build in that direction.

Whether LeeX becomes a major Nigerian technology company or simply an interesting startup experiment will depend on execution.

But LeeX Beta is definitely worth watching.

Nairaland, what do you think?

Would you use LeeX to discover businesses and events around your city?

Do Nigerians need a dedicated city discovery platform, or do Google Maps, Instagram and TikTok already solve the problem?

Can a Nigerian startup eventually build a location-intelligence platform for African cities?

Let’s hear your honest opinion—no hype, no fanboyism, just Nigerians discussing a Nigerian startup idea.
