I Thought I Was Slacking Off

I thought I was slacking off, I felt like I wasn't making any significant progress, I felt lost and to be honest most times I thought to myself "What's the point of even trying?", I was drowning myself In self-doubt almost everyday-all because I couldn't get myself to finish a course on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
There was no one to hold me accountable ( I tried getting an accountability partner, but that didn't go as planned ).
I eventually mustered up the motivation to continue where I had left off in the course and finally finished it.

PS: I've always wanted to learn how to code, but when I eventually started, I felt like giving up somewhere along the line.

One particular day, I was in the bathroom and then it finally dawned on me that I hadn't actually been wasting time like I thought. During those Intervals, I had taught a few of my classmates how to build a static page with HTML and CSS-without even realizing it.
That moment In the bathroom made me realize that I had been hard on myself all this while for no real reason, I simply had a unique learning style that I hadn't noticed earlier.

Right now, I've learned to fully embrace and utilize my learning style to its fullest. I've built a few personal projects, and right now I'm taking a course on JavaScript to better understand the fundamentals and how to apply them.

Back then I was looking for someone to say to me "Get off your butt and work". Now, I don't have to wait for that anymore because I've discovered a learning style I can truly call my own.

My Very First Blog Post

I've always wanted to learn how to code, so in 2024 I got a job that allowed me to save up enough money to buy myself a PC (it was my friend's PC ). It was literally the best experience of my life, I went on YouTube watching every web development video I could get my hands on. From there I progressed to downloading tutorials from a particular source 🌚. I was enjoying the tutorials until I got to a point where I was struggling a bit to watch another lecture video.
Eventually I finished a course on HTML and CSS, I thought that was it... I had learnt how to code, that narrative changed when I actually sat down to build an actual project on my own without the help of any tutorial, that was when I realized that I still have a long way to go.
I decided to take up coding challenge from Frontend mentor (A site with Frontend projects) to reinforce my learning with HTML and CSS, and to be honest I saw the extent of my limit, it was frustrating and at the same time annoying.
I then went back to the basics which helped me actually attempt a few challenges, I was happy to see I was making tiny improvements, right now I've built upto 8 frontend mentor projects, and I don't intend on stopping there.
Well that's it for now.
I'm gonna look back at this one day and go wow! I've made progress.
