Strengthening Libre: Security and Optimization Updates

I’ve been working on improving Libre, my anonymous social experiment, and just rolled out several important security and optimization changes:

1.Anonymous Authentication via Firebase – every user now has a unique anonymous session, preventing abuse while keeping the experience frictionless.
2. Sensitive Keys Removed – tokens (e.g., ipinfo) are no longer exposed on the client side.
3. Advanced Anti-Abuse Filtering – stronger detection for offensive content, spam, and injection attempts (XSS, SQLi, flooding).
4. Client + Server Validations – strict sanitization, input validation, and hardened Firebase Firestore rules.
5. No UX changes – users still just tap “Start being Libre” to join.
6. Scalability & Resilience – better protection against bots and malicious traffic.

Libre stays simple for users but is now much stronger behind the scenes. Feedback is welcome.

👉 Try it here: https://libreantisocial.com

Why I Built an Anonymous Social Experiment Without Metrics

Have you ever wondered what social media would look like without likes, followers, or algorithms telling you what to read? That question became an obsession for me, and it led me to build libreantisocial.com — a social experiment where posts live without validation, where there is no pressure of numbers, and where users are free to share thoughts anonymously.

In most digital platforms, everything is measured: engagement, impressions, growth curves. But what happens when you remove all of that? What happens if a thought can exist simply for the sake of expression, without being rewarded or punished by metrics?

This project is my attempt to answer that question. It is not a startup pitch, not an app designed to keep you scrolling, but an experiment in digital freedom. It’s a space where people can write, reflect, and connect on a human level — without selling data, without ads, without the dopamine loops engineered by big platforms.

For me, building Libre is like writing an open letter to the internet: a reminder that not every digital community needs to be measured, monetized, or gamified. Sometimes, it’s enough to let words exist, freely.

👉 You can try it here: libreantisocial.com

Building Libre: A Social Network That Refuses to Play the Social Media Game

When I launched libreantisocial.com, I knew it wouldn’t be for everyone. Libre is a social experiment disguised as a social network — but without the usual traps.

There are no algorithms deciding what you see. No “likes” chasing your dopamine. No ads. No data collection. Just raw, unfiltered thoughts from strangers around the world.

The rules are simple:
• Post anonymously.
• No personal profiles, no followers.
• Conversations happen naturally, without metrics telling you what’s “popular.”

Why? Because I wanted to see what happens when you strip social media back to its bare minimum. Without clout, without brands, without the attention economy… do people still talk? Do they share honestly?

In just over a week, people from dozens of countries have joined in. Some posts are silly. Some are deep. Some are… weird. But they’re real. And that’s the point.

Libre isn’t here to replace anything. It’s here to test what’s left of human connection when the noise is gone.

If you’re curious, join the experiment: libreantisocial.com

I Built an Antisocial Platform to Explore Anonymous Expression Online

As developers, we often build for engagement — metrics, profiles, recommendations. I wanted to go in the exact opposite direction.

So I built LIBRE: libreantisocial.com

An anonymous web platform where:
• No one follows you
• No one likes your content
• There’s no feed, no timeline, no history
• Every post is disconnected, anonymous, and temporary

The interaction model is simple:
You write something and send it into the void. Someone might see it. They might respond (anonymously). Or not. There’s no pressure, no trace, and no stats.

New features recently added:
• 🌍 Accurate country detection (193 countries supported)
• 🌐 Language filter (English & Spanish)
• ✍️ Auto-draft saving (in case the tab closes unexpectedly)
• 🔢 Character counter for posts

This is a minimalist social experiment — an attempt to reclaim digital space for expression without performance. No JavaScript trickery, no fingerprinting, no tracking cookies. Just plain server-side logic and randomness.

It’s not a product. It’s a tool for thinking, sharing, and letting go.

If you want to try it, or maybe even contribute thoughts on it:
🌐 libreantisocial.com

Designing a Welcome Tutorial for Radical Anonymity

I'm building a small welcome screen for my website libreantisocial.com — a space for radical anonymous writing — because I realized something important:

Since it’s not a social network, people don’t immediately understand how it works.

There are no profiles. No likes. No followers. No trending topics.
And in today’s world, that creates confusion.

 Why a tutorial?

Because LIBRE doesn’t look like anything we use every day. It doesn’t invite you to build an audience or protect your image.

It’s a place to release, not retain.

And that needs context.

 What does the tutorial explain?

A short, clear, visual onboarding that helps new visitors understand the core values behind the platform:

 ✨ Radical anonymity

No one follows you, no one knows who you are. Your identity doesn't matter — only your thought does.

 🚫 No social validation

No “likes,” no followers, no public comments. The only interaction: release your message (a bottle), and if someone finds it, they can reply — just as anonymously.

 🗣️ Pure freedom of expression

Write whatever you want, without fear of judgment, without social pressure. It’s your space to let go — expecting nothing in return.

 🌍 Unexpected human connection

Your message can reach anyone, in any country, at any time. It’s an act of faith in humanity — and randomness.

 🧼 No history, no reputation

Forget the past. There are no profiles or image-building here. Every message is an isolated moment, with no previous or future context.

 🔒 Antidote to overexposure

A quiet refuge from hyperconnectivity, social pressure, and the need for constant approval.

 🧭 Safe and respectful space

Even in anonymity, respect is the baseline. No hate, no violence, no discrimination allowed.

 🎲 Zero algorithms, zero manipulation

No feeds, no trending topics, no personalization. Everything is random. Everything matters equally.

 What am I working on?

A 2 or 3-screen modal or maybe a few lightweight tooltips, shown only on the first visit.

The real challenge:

👉 How do you explain this without breaking the mystery?

👉 How do you inform without turning it into “just another social app”?

I'm trying to solve that through design, words, and minimal friction.

If you're building something that goes against the grain, or exploring new kinds of interaction — I’d love to hear from you.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t coding the platform…

It’s unlearning what a “network” is supposed to be.
`

🗺️ New Update: Israel and Palestine Now Differentiated on the Map

In the latest update of my website, ISRAEL and PALESTINE are now treated as two distinct entities.

Although the United Nations only recognizes 193 member states (and Palestine holds observer status), from a technical and user experience standpoint, I decided to represent both Israel and Palestine as individual countries on the map.

✅ What Changed:
ISO Code: I used the standard country code for Palestine: PS

Names: Added localized names:

In Spanish: Palestina

In English: Palestine

Geographic Coordinates: Assigned approx.
lat: 31.95, lng: 35.23
so that it appears correctly in the app's map view.

This decision aligns with the platform’s values of inclusiveness and neutrality — offering users from all regions a more accurate representation of their identity and location.

https://libreantisocial.com/

LIBRE Update: Smarter Country Detection, Language Filters, Auto-Draft & Character Counter

Hey everyone 👋

A quick update on LIBRE, the anonymous writing space I launched recently.

In case you missed it, LIBRE is a simple, anonymous website where anyone can write freely, without login, accounts, or tracking. No likes, no comments, no pressure. Just write, and let go.

You can try it here: 🌐 [https://libreantisocial.com]

 ✅ What’s new?

Over the past few days, I’ve been working on small but meaningful improvements, based on real-world use and feedback:

🌍 Accurate Country Detection (193 countries)

LIBRE now detects visitors' countries more reliably — covering all 193 UN-recognized countries.

This improves future plans for global stats, language insights, and subtle personalization (without compromising anonymity).

🗣️ Language Filter (Spanish / English)

You can now filter the thoughts by language.

Helps users read what's most relevant or understandable to them.

For now, only English and Spanish are supported — more may come later.

 ✍️ Auto-Draft Mode

One of the most requested features: your text won’t disappear if you accidentally close or refresh the page.

Your current draft is saved locally (browser-only) until you publish or clear it.

 🔢 Character Counter

A small but helpful addition: see how much space you have left as you type (max: 500 characters).

Helps with clarity and intentional writing.

 📌 Coming soon

Anonymous “echo” mode: old thoughts resurfacing at random.

Optional prompt suggestions for those who need a nudge to write.

Very light touch moderation for flagged or harmful content.

Thanks to everyone who's tried LIBRE so far — it's still an experiment, but it’s slowly becoming a quiet collective of anonymous voices.

Feel free to test the new features and share your thoughts.

Always open to feedback — especially if you care about anonymity, writing, or the weird corners of the internet. 🌐

– Rodo

I Built an Anonymous Writing Site — But How Do I Share It Without Breaking Its Spirit?

A few weeks ago, I launched a small project called LIBRE — an anonymous space where anyone can write and let go, with no login, no profiles, no metrics, and no expectations of response.

It was born from a simple idea:

What if there were a place to write without being watched, liked, tracked, or judged?

LIBRE is built to be:

🔒 Completely anonymous (no accounts, no tracking, no cookies)

🧘‍♂️ Emotionally neutral (no comments, likes, shares, or engagement loops)

🫧 Ephemeral and intentionless (you write, you let go — that’s it)

You can try it here if you’re curious:

 The Dilemma

Now that it’s live… I’m facing a strange challenge:

How do I share a project that’s intentionally not meant to go viral?

How do I “promote” something that rejects the very logic of attention-seeking?

How do I invite people to use something that asks for nothing back?

 Things I’m Trying (Gently)

Sharing the backstory, not the "pitch"

Focusing on why I built it, not why it’s “better” than anything else

Avoiding growth-hacking, SEO tricks, and gamification

Posting in communities where the values might resonate (writers, open web lovers, mental health spaces)

 Why I’m Writing This Here

I'm not just here to share — I’m genuinely looking for insights:

Have you ever launched something that wasn’t meant to scale fast or generate noise?

How did you handle visibility without distorting the intent?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

Ethical or value-aligned ways to grow

Quiet or subtle forms of distribution

How to build trust in anonymous spaces

Thanks for reading. 🙏

– Rodo

Looking for Testers – I Built LIBRE, an Anonymous Space to Write and Let Go

 👋 Hi everyone,

I built a small but meaningful project called LIBRE — a website where you can write whatever you want, anonymously, without likes, follows, or expectations.

I created it in just 3 days using Gemini 2.5 PRO.

It’s live now, and I’d love your help testing it.

 🔍 What’s LIBRE?

A radically anonymous space. You write a message, and it becomes a digital bottle thrown into the sea.

Someone else, somewhere in the world, might find it — and can reply. All anonymous. No names. No profiles.

It’s about expressing something, not performing for an audience.

You can:

Write freely, with no pressure

Get matched randomly with others' messages

Send Time Capsules into the future (1h to 100+ years)

Switch between English or Spanish (auto-translate included)

🧪 What I Need from You

I’m looking for testers, curious minds, and honest voices.

Things I’d love feedback on:

💡 First impression – Does the site make sense?

⚙️ Functionality – Does it work smoothly for you?

🧭 Navigation – Is it intuitive or confusing?

🎯 Value – Do you find the concept interesting? Worth returning

I Built a Website in 3 Days Using AI (Gemini 2.5 PRO)

I built a website in just 3 days using Gemini 2.5 PRO AI.

The idea came from a simple need: to express something without expecting anything in return, and to do it from complete anonymity.

While building, I found the clearest way to explain the concept:

"Write whatever you want, without expecting anything in return. Your words will be a bottle thrown into the sea, found by someone somewhere in the world — without knowing who you are or who found it."

🌊 Core Values Behind the Project

 🕶 Radical Anonymity

No accounts. No usernames. No tracking. Your identity doesn’t matter — your thoughts do.

 🚫 No Social Validation

No likes. No followers. No comments that shape how you think. Just you and your words. If someone reads your bottle, they can reply — just as anonymously.

 ✍️ Pure Freedom of Expression

Say what you want. No social pressure. No judgment. No dopamine loops. Just raw thought.

 🌍 Unexpected Human Connection

Your message could reach anyone, anywhere, anytime. It’s an act of faith in humanity — and in randomness.

 🧼 No History, No Reputation

No profiles. No past. No future context. Each message is an isolated moment in time.

 🔕 Antidote to Overexposure

A refuge from hyperconnectivity, approval-chasing, and personal branding.

 🛡 Safe & Respectful Space

Even in full anonymity, respect is non-negotiable. Hate, violence, or discrimination are not allowed.

 🎲 Zero Algorithms, Zero Manipulation

No trending. No engagement-based sorting. Just randomness. Everything is equally important.

⏳ Bonus Feature: The Time Capsule

My favorite part:

You can write a thought and send it into the future.

Schedule it for 1 hour, 100 years, or anything in between. 🌌

🌐 Available in Spanish & English

All messages can be read in either language. A translation tool is included for messages written in others.

 👉 Try it out: www.libreantisocial.com

I'd love for you to explore it and share your feedback, ideas, or critiques.

Thanks to this amazing community for the inspiration and support.

🧠 Built with love, curiosity, and AI.
