GitHub profiles have no way for someone to say hi. (I loved that steam had this feature)

You can star a repo, you can follow someone, you can open an issue about code. But if you land on somebody's profile and think "this is cool", there's nowhere to put that. So I built one.

That's on my profile right now. Anyone with a GitHub account can leave a message and it appears within about thirty seconds.

F.Y.I - The way out is SVG
GitHub renders SVG files in READMEs as long as they're referenced by an tag rather than in lined. And inside an SVG, none of those restrictions apply. You get transforms, filters, clip paths, embedded fonts and anything or everything.

The catch is that an SVG served this way cannot fetch anything external. GitHub proxies it, and the proxy blocks every outbound request. A normal inside renders blank.So every avatar has to be downloaded and embedded as a data URI at build time.

No database, no server. The comments are a GitHub Discussion on your profile repository (cool init?)
