1. The Objective
My goal this week was to set up a dedicated technical blog on Hashnode to document my journey as a networking student. I wanted to establish a clean, structured platform to log weekly lab notes, commands, and troubleshooting processes as I work through course assignments and networking labs.

2. The Hurdle
While setting up my workspace and preparing my first network configuration notes, I encountered a permissions issue when executing configuration scripts in my local virtual environment. Running the command returned a Permission denied error because the execution flags were not properly set on the script file. Additionally, ensuring the blog URL was properly formatted for public viewing required adjusting the default domain settings on the platform.

3. The Solution
To fix the permission error on my Linux terminal, I updated the file permissions to make the script executable using chmod +x setup_lab.sh instead of granting full root access unnecessarily. Once executed, the lab environment loaded cleanly. I then finalized my blog domain configuration, verified the public visibility of this post, and linked the URL back to my course Staging Area for weekly submissions.
