As a developer, managing daily tasks efficiently is crucial to maintaining productivity. That’s why I’m excited to introduce DayTicks, a Chrome extension designed to keep your daily tasks at your fingertips.

What is DayTicks?

DayTicks is a lightweight Chrome extension that helps you manage your tasks, track the time spent on each task, and view a summary of your daily activities—all from a simple, intuitive dashboard. Whether you're a developer, freelancer, or just someone who likes to stay organized, DayTicks is built to help you stay on top of your day.

Key Features

Task Management: Easily add, edit, delete, and toggle tasks between complete and incomplete.

Task Tags: Organize your tasks with tags, and filter them for quick access. The extension also suggests previously used tags when adding a new task.

Timer Functionality: Start and stop timers for each task to accurately track your time. The timers come with improved accuracy and synchronization.

Hourly Notifications: Stay on track with hourly notifications while a timer is running.

How to Use DayTicks

Activate the Extension: Click the DayTicks icon in the Chrome toolbar.

Manage Tasks

Add a Task: Enter your task and click “Add Task”. You can add tags for categorization, and the extension will suggest tags based on your previous entries.
Edit or Delete Tasks: Make changes or remove tasks easily with the edit and delete buttons.
Toggle Task Status: Mark tasks as complete or incomplete. Note that you cannot toggle the status of a task while its timer is running.

Use Timers: Start and stop timers to track the time spent on each task. Hourly notifications will help you stay focused.

View Daily Summary: Check the daily summary at the bottom of the task list to see how much time you’ve spent on your tasks.

Generate and Download Reports: Create detailed reports of your tasks and download them as PDFs (soon available). Note that reports cannot be generated while a task timer is running.

Generate Reports: Create and download detailed PDF reports (soon available) of your tasks, including total tasks, completed tasks, and time spent.
