We are thrilled to bring you our brand new online event series, the Vonage Knowledge Quest! This series will bring you exclusive content, drop in clinics and expert panels, all free to attend for our developer community.

We are kicking off the series with a three month programme of events aimed at our PHP Developer Community, hosted by Jim Seconde.

Registration for Session 1 is now open, so follow the link below to save your spot!

PHP Security Over 9000: Vonage 2FA approaches
One of the things that developers often leave last when pushing out code is security. The amount of support requests I get in alone on implementing APIs on PHP versions that were end of life 2+ years ago tells me we still neglect security. You have hashed passwords, fine. What about more modern application auth? Well, some people might already be using two-factor authentication with SMS. BUT... have you heard of Silent Authentication? Ever tried a Yubikey integration? In this session, we'll revisit security to open new doors you might have missed.

Jim Seconde, Senior PHP Developer Advocate at Vonage
23rd October 2024, 12:30 - 13:30 BST
Register here

PS. Attend multiple Vonage Knowledge Quest events to unlock exclusive swag...

Have you heard about AWS Partner Dev Days? AWS Partner Dev Days are free virtual half-day events where people of all technical backgrounds can dive deep into some of the hottest and most advanced topics in cloud computing. That’s why we’re partnering with AWS on the 12th of November to deliver a demo-focused workshop for you to get stuck in with other AWS technical experts and your peers.

What Will the AWS Dev Day With Vonage Cover?
Security is an ever-increasing need for developers, so we will show you how to get started with some of our anti-fraud solutions to help authenticate who your application is talking to. We will show you how to implement our SIM Swap and Number Verification network APIs to validate that the user entering a video chat is who you expect them to be to provide a secure video call.

If you haven’t tried it already, the Vonage Video API is super easy to use, and this workshop will show you how. You’ll build a video meeting platform that will transcribe and summarize recordings after completing the meeting. The application will even allow users with a camera and microphone to connect over either a desktop or a mobile device with internet connectivity.

We’ll kick off the half-day with a short live session to make sure you’re all set up for success, and we’ll answer any questions you need. We’ll also have a support Slack channel in our Vonage Community where you can ask questions throughout the day. We’ll be there with you, every step of the way.

Why Should I Attend AWS Dev Day With Vonage?
So you’re probably thinking, “Why should I attend?!” Well, in only half a day, you’ll learn how to utilize the power of Amazon's Web Service catalog to enhance Vonage's video during the hands-on lab. Pretty cool, right? We think so. So sign up today to reserve your spot in our half-day workshop. You won’t regret it.
