Recently, I decided to begin preparing for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2027, and honestly, I'm both excited and a little nervous.</p> <p>I've always been interested in technology and building things, but open source is still a new world for me. There are so many amazing projects and communities out there, and I want to learn how to contribute meaningfully while improving my skills along the way.</p> <p>My goal over the next few months is simple: learn consistently, contribute to projects, and grow as a developer.</p> <p>I'll be focusing on:</p> <ul> <li>Learning Git and GitHub properly.</li> <li>Understanding how open-source communities work.</li> <li>Making my first contributions.</li> <li>Improving my coding and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Documenting my progress and sharing what I learn.</li> </ul> <p>I know this journey won't be easy, and there will definitely be moments when I feel stuck or overwhelmed. But I'm excited to learn from the community and keep moving forward one step at a time.</p> <p>If you've been through the GSoC journey or have experience with open source, I'd love to hear your advice.
