Salut à tous ! 👋

On arrive, on colle, on convertit.

Announcing md-to.com in French: The simplest way to convert Markdown!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been working on md-to.com for a while now. It started as a simple project to solve my own headache: finding a fast, clean, and no-nonsense way to turn Markdown into beautiful PDFs, HTML, or Word docs without the "bloat."

Since then, the community support has been amazing. One thing I kept noticing in the logs and feedback was a growing number of users from French-speaking regions. So, I figured it was time to make them feel more at home.

Today, I’m stoked to announce that md-to.com/fr/ is officially live! 🇫🇷

 Why use it?

If you’re like me, you live in Markdown, but the rest of the world... doesn't. Whether you need to send a clean report to a client or turn your README into a professional-looking PDF, this tool handles it in seconds.

Zero friction: No login, no "pro" tiers, just paste and convert.

Fully localized: The new French interface makes it easier for native speakers to navigate the settings and options.

Privacy first: Your content isn't being stored on some random server.

 Behind the scenes

Adding i18n support was a fun little challenge. I wanted to make sure the transition was seamless without adding any heavy overhead to the site's performance. (If you’re curious about the tech stack or how I handled the localization, feel free to ask in the comments!)

 Check it out

If you speak French—or just want to see how the new UI looks—head over to:

I’d love to hear what you guys think! If you have any feature requests or find any weird translation bugs, hit me up below.

Happy coding! 🚀

How to Convert Markdown to Word (DOCX) in Seconds

As developers, we love Markdown for documentation. But when it's time to share reports with non-technical stakeholders, HR, or legal teams, they usually ask for a Word (.docx) file.

Instead of manually copy-pasting and fixing broken styles, md-to.com provides a seamless, privacy-focused way to convert your Markdown files into professional Word documents.

 Why use md-to.com?

Privacy First: Unlike many online converters, md-to.com processes files 100% locally in your browser. No data is uploaded to a server—perfect for sensitive internal docs.

Zero Setup: No need to install Pandoc or complex command-line tools.

Rich Support: Handles headers, bold/italic, nested lists, and complex tables effortlessly.

 Step-by-Step: From .md to .docx

 1. Input your Markdown

Navigate to the Markdown to Word tool. You can:

Drag & Drop your
.md
file directly.

Paste your content into the editor.

Click "Load Sample" to see a demo.

 2. Real-time Preview

As you type or paste, the right-hand panel shows you exactly how the document is structured. It supports standard syntax including:

#
Headings

|
Tables

-
Bullet points

1.
Numbered lists

 3. Download as DOCX

Once ready, simply click the "Download Word" button. The conversion is instant.

 Pro-Tips for Developers

Consistency: If you are working on a team project, use this tool to ensure every technical brief looks uniform when presented to management.

Speed: Since it runs locally using JavaScript, even long documents convert in milliseconds.

Clean Formatting: It eliminates the hidden HTML junk that often comes with "copy-pasting" from a browser to Word.

 Conclusion

Stop wasting time fighting with Word's formatting rules. Use md-to.com to bridge the gap between your dev workflow and the rest of the company.

Try it now: https://md-to.com/markdown-to-word/

Best Free Online Markdown to PDF Converter (2026, No Signup)

As developers, we live in Markdown. Whether it's a
README.md
, technical specs, or a project roadmap, it's our default. But eventually, the "client request" comes in: "Can I get this as a PDF?"

If you're searching for a free online markdown to pdf converter 2026 no signup, you've probably noticed that many tools now hide behind paywalls or annoying registration forms.

Today, I’m sharing my favorite utility that handles this perfectly: MD-to-PDF.

Why it's the top-rated "No Signup" tool this year

In 2026, we have zero patience for "SaaS friction." This Markdown to PDF converter is a favorite for the DEV community because it hits all the right notes:

Free Online Markdown to PDF Converter: No hidden fees for "premium" rendering.

No Signup Required: No email, no "social login," no nonsense. Just paste and convert.

2026 Standards: Supports modern GFM (GitHub Flavored Markdown), including complex tables and clean code block syntax highlighting.

Developer Privacy: Your files aren't stored indefinitely on a remote server. It's built for speed and security.

 How it works

Navigate to https://md-to.com/markdown-to-pdf/.

Input your Markdown (paste text or drag-and-drop your
.md
file).

Click Convert and grab your PDF instantly.

 Final Verdict

If you need a free online markdown to pdf converter no signup 2026, don't waste time on tools that want your personal data. MD-to-PDF is the leanest, fastest way to get your docs from code to a shareable PDF format.

How to Convert Markdown Tables to Images Online (The Easy Way)

Markdown is the undisputed king of documentation for developers. It’s clean, version-control friendly, and stays out of your way. But there is one major headache we all face: Markdown tables are a nightmare to share outside of a renderer.

If you’ve ever tried to paste a Markdown table into a Slack message, an email, or a tweet, you know the pain. It usually ends up looking like a jumbled mess of pipes (
|
) and dashes (
-
).

The solution? Convert your table into a clean, high-resolution image. Today, I’m highlighting a lightweight, specialized tool for this exact task: Markdown Table to Image.

🚀 Why Not Just Use a Screenshot?

Sure, you could open a preview in VS Code and take a screenshot. But that's clunky and often results in inconsistent padding, weird UI elements in the background, or low resolution.

md-to.com offers a more "pro" approach:

Zero Friction: No sign-ups, no "Pro" tiers, and no bloated editors.

Clean Aesthetics: It generates a clean, distraction-free image that looks great in slide decks (PPT), blog posts, or social media.

Real-time Preview: You see exactly what the image will look like as you type or paste your code.

Mobile Friendly: Perfect for when you need to share a quick data snippet while away from your dev environment.

🛠 How to Do It in 30 Seconds

The workflow is designed to be as fast as possible:

Head to the tool: Go to https://md-to.com/markdown-table-to-image/.

Paste your Markdown: Drop your table code into the left-hand editor.

Download: Check the preview on the right, and hit the Download Image button to save it as a high-quality PNG.

Example:

| Feature | Support | Speed |
| :--- | :---: | ---: |
| Markdown | ✅ | Fast |
| Images | ✅ | Instant |

 💡 Best Use Cases

Social Media: Sharing technical benchmarks on X (Twitter) or LinkedIn where Markdown isn't supported.

Presentation Decks: Quickly turning your project's feature matrix into a slide-ready graphic.

Email Reports: Sending a data summary to a non-technical stakeholder without worrying about their email client breaking the layout.

Mobile Apps: Providing a readable version of a table for users on small screens.

 Wrapping Up

In the world of dev tools, sometimes the most specific "single-purpose" tools are the biggest lifesavers. If you’re tired of fighting with table formatting, give this converter a shot.

Check it out here: Markdown Table to Image Converter

Do you have a favorite Markdown hack or a go-to tool for documentation? Let me know in the comments!

 Why convert Markdown to Images?

As developers, we often share code snippets or technical notes on social media (X, WeChat, or LinkedIn). Standard copy-pasting often breaks syntax highlighting, distorts tables, or messes up the layout.

Converting Markdown to a high-resolution image ensures your formatting stays perfect across all platforms. While tools like Carbon are great for code, md-to.com handles full Markdown documents—including headers, tables, and math formulas.

 Key Features for Developers

100% Local Processing: Your data never leaves your browser. Privacy is guaranteed for sensitive code.

Full Markdown Support: Not just code! It supports tables, lists, and task lists.

20+ Professional Templates: From GitHub-style to Dracula themes.

Mobile-Friendly: One-click presets for Phone (375px), Tablet (768px), and Desktop (1200px).

Quick Guide: From MD to Image in 4 Steps

 Step 1: Input your Markdown

Open the Markdown to Image tool. You can drag and drop an
.md
file, paste your text, or click "Load Sample" to see how it works.

Step 2: Choose a Style Template

Click the style name to open the gallery. For dev-focused content, I recommend:

Technical: GitHub Style, VS Code Blue, or Dracula Purple.

Minimalist: Simple or Pure Black & White.

Step 3: Configure Export & Borders

Click "Download Image" to fine-tune your output:

Pixel Ratio: Use 2x or 3x for Retina-level clarity.

Borders: Add a "Rainbow Gradient" for social media or "Soft Shadow" for a professional blog look.

 Step 4: Download or Copy

You can download the result as a PNG (supports transparency) or JPG. Even better, use "Copy Image" to instantly paste it into your chat or presentation.

 Conclusion

Whether you are beautifying a GitHub README, sharing a tip on X, or creating slides, md-to.com is a powerful, free, and private way to turn your Markdown into professional visuals.

Try it out: https://md-to.com/markdown-to-image/

What is your favorite syntax highlighting theme?

From idea to shipping in 14 days: My journey building a Markdown tool

Hello DEV community!

I’m excited to finally share a project that has been living in the back of my mind for a very long time.

Three days ago, I launched MD-To.com, a free online Markdown converter.

But the story actually starts about two weeks ago. I finally decided to stop procrastinating and just build the thing. To speed up the process, I used Cursor paired with Claude Opus 4.5. The development velocity was insane—what felt like a month's worth of work got compressed into just a fortnight.

 The Launch & The Pivot

I registered the domain and pushed the site live just 3 days ago.

But as soon as it was live, I wasn't 100% happy with it. So, over the last 72 hours, I completely redesigned the UI and overhauled the copywriting to make the experience much smoother and more professional.

 What can it do?

The goal was simple: a converter that respects your privacy (no server uploads) and covers all the edge cases developers need.

Here are the current features:

Privacy First: Everything happens locally in your browser. Your files never hit my server.

Markdown to "Anything": Convert Markdown to Word (.docx), PDF, HTML, LaTeX, and even Confluence Wiki syntax.

Reverse Conversion: Turn HTML or Word docs back into clean Markdown.

Data Tools: Convert CSV or JSON directly into Markdown Tables (and vice versa).

Editor: A built-in editor with real-time preview.

100% Free: No login, no watermarks, no limits.

 I need your feedback

Since I just finished the redesign, I am looking for honest feedback from other developers.

Is the UI intuitive?

Are there any file formats you wish it supported?

Did you find any bugs in the conversion logic?

Please give it a try at https://md-to.com/ and let me know what you think in the comments. I’m ready to fix bugs and add features based on your suggestions!

Thanks for reading!
