What are you going to do?

As a Backend Developer in the MediKIT team, you will work on a general practitioner information system fully based on HL7 FHIR. You will develop scalable backend functionality and integrations with external healthcare providers, all using open standards. Within this small, multidisciplinary team, you will take on a lot of responsibility and initiative. Together, we are scaling MediKIT to contribute to better general practitioner care.

Tech stack: HL7 FHIR, Java/Kotlin, PostgreSQL, JSON storage, Kubernetes, Azure, GitHub Actions. Our frontend is built with React and TypeScript.

Your team

As a Backend Developer, you’ll be part of the MediKIT team: a close-knit, multidisciplinary group using technology to renew general practitioner care. You’ll collaborate with frontend developers, UX designers, and domain experts on an integrated platform. We combine the speed of a startup with the stability and scale of Nedap and are ready to scale up. The team works from different locations across the Netherlands (and beyond), with regular meetups in Groenlo, Nijmegen or Utrecht.

Required skills

Experience: At least 5 years of experience developing backend applications.
Scalability: Experience in designing or refactoring scalable systems.
Integration: Familiarity with building integrations via standards such as FHIR.
Tech skills: Experience with Kubernetes, Azure, GitHub Actions, Java/Kotlin, PostgreSQL and JSON storage is a plus.
Fullstack: Experience with React and TypeScript is a plus.
Good to know: This role is for 32–38 hours per week. Hybrid working is common at Nedap. Together with your team, you coordinate your working hours for a healthy work-life balance. You are expected to be present at least once a week on our campus in Groenlo or at one of our hubs.

What are you going to do?

As a Java Kotlin Developer, you will work on the API platform of the Ons Suite. Numerous external software vendors and business partners build extensions on this platform that enhance the Ons Suite. Together, the Ons Suite and these extensions ensure that a large number of healthcare organizations and professionals can perform their work optimally.

The integration team strives for fully integrated healthcare. That’s why we develop an API platform that enables all software within a healthcare organization to work together seamlessly, while allowing the organization itself to remain in control of data access.

In collaboration with a group of technically experienced stakeholders, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of our API platform. The explosive growth in data processing and the increasing role of AI and automation will provide plenty of exciting challenges to tackle in the coming years.

As a Java Kotlin Developer, you’ll be joining a tribe consisting of two development teams, twelve developers, a few UX specialists, and partner managers.

What are you going to do?

As Java Developer, you will work on an application that imports large volumes of data when new customers start using Ons.
The Integration Tribe strives for fully integrated healthcare. To achieve this, we make data available and editable for other applications within the IT landscape of care organizations. Better availability of data means better support for healthcare professionals.
In close collaboration with a group of technically experienced stakeholders, you will make the application faster, more stable, and capable of processing more types of data.

Your responsibilities

Scalability: Healthcare organizations are growing, and more and more types of data need to be integrated. You ensure the application remains stable and performant under increasing load;
Communication: You maintain close contact with a small but engaged group of external stakeholders;
Quality: You improve CI/CD pipelines and implement monitoring, enabling continuous and reliable rollouts of changes to a complex product.

Your team

As Java Developer, you will join a tribe with two development teams, 12 developers, several UX specialists, and partner managers.
