Finoinc: local-first personal finance for macOS

I wanted to see where my money went each month without uploading my bank data anywhere or maintaining a spreadsheet. So I built Finoinc.

Export the .ofx statement your bank already offers and drop it in. Finoinc skips what you already imported, pairs charges with their refunds, applies your rules and lays the month out on a dashboard.

Rules categorize every import, and the app points out recurring charges that still have no rule

Card bills and transfers between your own accounts don't count twice

Bills on a calendar: paid, pending, overdue

Investments tracked apart from spending

Optional local MCP server, so an AI agent can answer questions about your money

Everything lives in one SQLite file on your Mac. No account, no telemetry, no network calls by default.

Free and open source (MIT), built with Tauri, Svelte and Rust. macOS 12+, Apple Silicon and Intel.

Site: https://mateusfonsek.github.io/finoinc/

Code: https://github.com/mateusfonsek/finoinc

Feedback welcome.

Tagara: hold a key, speak, and the text appears at the cursor

Most of what I write during the day is faster to say than to type. So I built Tagara, a small dictation app for macOS.

Hold the right ⌥ key, talk, let go. The text is typed wherever your cursor is: the terminal, Slack, the browser, any text field. A sentence becomes text about 0.2–0.4 s after you release the key.

Everything runs on your Mac. Transcription uses the open Parakeet model on Apple Silicon's Neural Engine. The audio is never saved or sent anywhere, and there's no account. When idle it uses 0% CPU and the mic stays closed.

English and Portuguese, detected on every dictation

Puts your clipboard back the way it was after typing

Local history of the last 50 dictations (you can turn it off)

Native SwiftUI menu bar app, light and dark mode

Free and open source (MIT). macOS 15+, Apple Silicon. It isn't signed with an Apple developer certificate yet, so macOS asks you to allow it once.

Site: https://mateusfonsek.github.io/tagara/

Code: https://github.com/mateusfonsek/tagara

Feedback welcome, especially on accuracy and latency on different Macs.
