Automating LinkedIn to Google Sheets with SyncToSheet

If you’ve ever built a lead list, candidate pipeline, or outreach tracker, you’ve probably copied data from LinkedIn into Google Sheets manually.

It works… but it’s slow.

I built SyncToSheet to automate this workflow — a simple Chrome extension that lets you export LinkedIn profile and company data directly into Google Sheets with one click.

This post explains the problem, the workflow, and how automation simplifies LinkedIn data management.

The Problem

Typical workflow for recruiters or sales teams:

Open a LinkedIn profile
Copy name
Paste into the sheet
Copy job title

Even with CSV tools, you often deal with formatting issues or extra cleanup.

For early-stage teams, Google Sheets is usually the CRM. But getting structured LinkedIn data into it is the friction point.

Last week, tld-list.com went down for a couple of days.

That shouldn’t be a big deal… but for me, it was.

I regularly check domain availability across multiple TLDs, not just .com, but dozens of extensions. When the site was down, I realized how painful my workflow actually was:

Checking domains one by one
Jumping between different tools
No single place for pricing, availability, and alternatives
Expired domains scattered across random sources

After a couple of frustrating sessions, I did what most developers eventually do:

Why I built tld-list.org

The goal was simple:

One place to check domain availability across many TLDs
See TLD pricing without hopping between registrars
Access expired domains from a reliable source
No paywalls, no login walls, no “free for 3 searches” limits

What started as a personal utility slowly turned into tld-list.org.

My friend was manually generating female names of USA using fakenamegenerator.com! That was hectic job for him and time consuming too.

He just contact me so i can generate using any script. I come up with an idea to generate using python library pip install faker, which is one of the best library to generate fake first name, last name, address etc within seconds!

I wrote a code of few lines, which helped him to generate as many names within a second and store them in to a CSV file!

By default python on mostly ubuntu, there is python 2. We need to use python3 to run the python files with the latest version.

After research, I am come up with an easy solution to set python3 as a default on the ubuntu system.

Steps to Set Python3 as Default On ubuntu?

Check python version on terminal - python --version
Get root user privileges. On terminal type - sudo su
Write down the root user password.
Execute this command to switch to python 3.6. update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/python python /usr/bin/python3 1
Check python version - python --version
