So here we are.

You’re reading a blog post about AI writing blog posts… that was probably written by AI… about how absurd it is that AI is writing blog posts.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the recursion.

The Dev.to Content Lifecycle (2026 Edition)

Developer has an idea for a blog post
Developer opens ChatGPT
Developer types:

“Write a Dev.to post about X”

AI writes the post
Developer lightly edits the intro so it looks human
Post goes live
Another developer asks AI to summarize it

At this point the entire internet is just AIs talking to other AIs with humans occasionally clicking “Publish.”

The Real Absurd Part

The absurdity isn’t that AI can write blog posts.

The absurdity is that developers—people who love automation—are shocked when they automate writing.

We automated:

builds
deployments
infrastructure
testing
CI/CD
code generation

But the moment writing gets automated everyone suddenly becomes a Victorian poet defending the sanctity of prose.

Dev.to in 2023 vs 2026

“I spent 6 months learning Rust. Here’s what I learned.”

“I asked 4 AIs to debate Rust vs Go and summarize the results in a table.”

The Secret Nobody Wants to Admit

Most blog posts were already formulaic.

Let’s be honest. Half the internet follows this template:

1. Personal anecdote

2. Explain problem

3. List 5 tips

4. Add code snippet

5. Inspirational conclusion

AI didn’t ruin blogging.

AI just learned the template faster than we did.

The Irony

If you’re reading this thinking:

“Wow this actually sounds like a real dev.to post.”

That’s the problem.

The style is so predictable that an AI can replicate it perfectly.

The True Future of Dev Blogging

Soon we’ll have:

AI writing posts
AI generating the code examples
AI generating the diagrams
AI summarizing the comments
AI replying to the comments

Eventually the only human left in the loop is the person who accidentally pasted their API key in the code snippet.

The Plot Twist

You might be wondering:

“Was this written by AI?”

Yes.

But so was the next blog post you’re about to read.

And probably the one after that.

Final Thought

The real absurdity isn’t that AI can write blog posts.

It’s that developers are surprised that a technology designed to generate text… generates text.

Anyway, I need to go.

I’m about to ask AI to write a post about how authentic human writing still matters.

I use AI slightly more than I like to admit, and when OpenAI Dropped ChatGPT 5.2, I noticed it felt... a little ruder. I don't mind it, actually, it might be really good for certain people and the way AI is treated, as no one wants to spend a lot of time talking with a rude AI, however, are any of you experiencing this?

The Best "Get Started" button I've ever seen

It looks harmless enough, until you hover over it...

Rive is an animation platform that specializes in state machines and UI. I came across them, and that's when I saw there "Get Started" button. I already had experienced what there platform could do through Duolingo, as all of Duolingo's animations are from Rive.

There was the button. I go to click it, when instantly I'm sold. Here is what happens when you hover on it:

Kaboom. A spaceship appears, an astronaut comes out, and behold, a cute animation plays.

I pull my cursor away, and behold, it folds back into a button again.

Why did I post about one cool button? I am a frontend developer, and I love animations. That includes GSAP, Lottie, etc. People say they are bad for accessibility? I don't care. YOU are bad for accessibility. (Just kidding)

Best Advice For A New Mac

I am wanting to get a new Mac. I have been using GarageBand for music production, and want to upgrade so I can get Logic Pro. I want something that can last a while, but still run strong. But here is the big issue: I don't want to spend much money. I want to know from you people:

What is your advice
How did you get your mac(/computer)

I just got an email inviting me to join a new dev community. They said that they had seen my posts on dev.to, and thought I would be a good fit. I don't want to go into too much detail, but they did send it to my personal email, which I have never revealed publicly. Did anyone else get this?
