Why I Gave My AI Agent a Body (And What Happened)

Every AI I build lives in the same place: a grey text box. It doesn't matter how smart the model is — the experience is identical. A rectangle. Some text. A blinking cursor.

So I started asking: what if the agent had a body? Not a gimmick avatar — a presence. A face that reacts. A world it works in. Someone you brief like an employee, not prompt like a search engine.

That's Mia.

What I built

Mia AI is an embodiment layer for AI:

A face and presence — she greets you, waves, has a "Wassup!" energy. She feels like someone, not something.A mission theatre — when you give her a task, you watch it happen cinematically. She flies through the data-space: Brief → Think → Tools → Execute → Verify.57 specialist agents — GITHUB, MCP, THINK, WEB, NVIDIA… each with real workflow definitions. Pick one or let her auto-route.A world — planets, moons, suns. The intro is a suspense trailer, not a hero section.The stack (boringly simple)

5 static HTML pages. Vanilla JS. No framework, no build step. Canvas for the mission viz. The demo brain is a scripted router — and I say so on the site, because fake "AI" demos are poison.

The waitlist API is Express + a JSON file. The PWA works today; native apps are honestly marked "coming soon."

What I'm learningPresence changes the brief. When users talk to "someone," they describe outcomes, not prompts. "Launch my AI product" instead of keyword soup.The demo has to be honest. The moment a visitor suspects the demo is fake without disclosure, you've lost them forever. I label everything.Embodiment is a platform decision. Whoever owns the face, voice, and personality owns the user relationship. Models converge; presence differentiates.Where it's going
