HelpConnect: Turning Generosity Into Action 🤝

What if asking for help could be as simple as filling out a short form?
For the DEV Weekend Challenge: Generosity Edition, I built HelpConnect, a simple web app designed to connect people who need support with people who are willing to help.
💡 What I Built
HelpConnect allows someone to submit a help request by providing:
Their name
A help category
A short description of what they need
The request is then displayed immediately in the Community Help Requests section.
The current prototype focuses on three common areas:
🍲 Food
📚 Education
🏥 Medical support
🎯 Why I Built It
Generosity doesn't always require a large donation. Sometimes the biggest challenge is simply connecting someone who needs help with someone who is ready to give it.
I wanted to create a small, accessible prototype that demonstrates this idea.
🛠️ Technology
The project was built with:
HTML
CSS
Vanilla JavaScript
JavaScript handles form validation, creates new requests dynamically, and safely displays user-provided content.

🔮 What's Next?
If I continued developing HelpConnect, I would add:
Volunteer accounts
Real-time notifications
Location-based matching
NGO verification
A database for persistent requests
A way for volunteers to respond to requests
This prototype is a small step toward making generosity easier to organize and more accessible.
