Im developing a android web browser

I look up to google play store and search for browser. I've seen quite a lot of them. But most of them having the same data collection. Theyre collecting personal info, activity, logs, location, device, ids etc.

And since my own web browser doesn't collect any kindof data i found it to be cool to be use when i launch my 400kb android web browser to play store...

My app is published on 3rd party store (amazon app store, samsung galaxy store, uptodown, getjar) and on my website also. Im halfway through in finishing the 25$ fee hahah..

ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT
Since one of the logic behind this app is being programmed from scratch without using any 3rd party libraries the result was satisfying since most of the app size was occupied by 3rd party libraries. Also the webvium browser minimize the use of png and jpg instead it uses vector which makes the app a lot lighter. Having a total size of 4O0KB on the latest update perhaps makes the app the lightest of its kind on the category browsing.

NO BACKGROUND SERVICES
One of the thing that makes user phone slower is app get contants update or run services in the background even though the user doesn't use the app even though i understand the app may need to sync or do some process. Webvium doesn't run any background services when user doesn't use the app. Though it run a notification and update service once a while. Saving resources.

FULL FEATURED
Even though the current stable released doens't yet have the support for target blank and other things. Webvium is fully capable of being a web browser it has tabs, bookmarks, history, search, download, navigation controls and also tons of preferences.

MATERIAL DESIGN
The app doesn't use 3rd party libraries that means the app designed is base on the android itself customize to look material and cool. Material Design wasn't a thing now in newer android since the introductio of Material You but will soon to support it.

PRIVACY CONTROLS
Webvium browser doesn't have an ad, analytics or telemetry. It also allow users to pause history, search and downloads history. DNT (Dont Not Track) Header enabled and other privacy and security settings which you can see in the privacy and advanced section in webvium app settings.

TOOLS
Webvium has buildin tools (i.e, Headerss, NSLookup, Source Code, Robots, AssetLinks, Sitemap, Received Error, Received SSL Error, Console Panel, Console Message, Base64 Encoder and Decoder, URL Encoder and Decoder, View IP, View UA, Password Generator, Logcat). It also has Ad Blocker which is currently on development to make it better, Inspect Element to inspect page element source code without viewing the entire page source code, Design Mode to edit live text, Print the page or save it as pdf file, and also a VPN.

SOURCE CODES
The Webvium Project source code was programmed for scratch to be able to achieved satisfying output without making the app size heavier or invading user privacy by allowing 3rd party to process it. The app is capable to low in low end devices (android 5.0) 500MB RAM. Since its lightweight most of the system resources it consume are for sites.

The project has a lot more to improve and will continue improving.

As my project 'The Project Webvium' goes on there was no such thing as Project Webvium before even though i am working on it for 4 years till now since the very first day i learn programming.

As Mark says 'no one does when they begin. Ideas don't come out fully formed'. When i started on it, it is just to learn and explore more. It's all started on a very basic app.

But since then in all projects i've created back then everything becomes clear the very first project name of the app was WebView hence the name its from WebView. But things go round and i liked to do it in new way.

Facing new challenges in the future. As of today the Project is far ahead that i imagine back in the day.

Keep url clean

We liked to use url params such as utm source, ref and custom one. But leaving it like that makes the url lenght quite long for example Searching on google then clicking on a particular content google will highlight it for you to see it easily but it append a data in the url like:

Also utm like http://mrepol742.github.io/?utm_source=dev.to&utm_medium=blog

And personally it wasnt look cool.

It's possible to remove the url parameters by using replaceState from window.historu as follows:

what it does is to replace the current url using the window.location.pathname leaving with clean and easy to read url.

Updated my portfolio

Yes here i go again. sometimes i dont feel like the new one so i changed it.

This update includes performance improvements. So now i removed dns-prefetching and updates some images reducing the list of 3rd party domains.

I also updated the service workers to make it simple this service worker will cache the site files assets folder which has the bootstraps jquery etc... Thought it won't gonna catch other files like html, js or css files since they usually changed daily or so..

The event.request.destination === image checks if the request file is an image or event.request.url.includes("/assets/") checks if the requested file is located inside the assets folder and event.request.url.includes("https://mrepol742.github.io/") then cache else load over the network.

This system saves traffic and makes the site loads faster.
Running a service worker is simple as control + c.

Asside from it i also updated titles, images etc..

My portfolio but in dark mode

I've been updating my portfolio today for quite a lot now. So for last changes i wanted to add a dark mode option and i don't have any idea on how to do it in faster way and no idea where do i gonna add the dark mode icon or option.

So i come up with a crazy idea of copying my webvium force dark mode js and paste it on my site and by detecting if the user tripple click it it'll turn on/off dark mode.
